Strawberries!
Myphuong L.

This farm looks small from afar but it's well spread out. I love that you can pick flowers, strawberries and blueberries all in one day. They also sell honey and other flowers. Be sure to check out the retail section at the farm stand where you pay your admission fees before you explore. Be sure to dress accordingly because the entire farm is on dirt. There are portable potties available next to the animals and u-pick. Parking: Free parking unless it's an event. When you turn in, skip the first entrance on your left (it says exit only). Drive up past the fence and u-turn into the same lot. There are a few Handicap spaces between the blue cones. Admission: Walk up to the farm stand to the person with the cash register. Ranunculus season is coming to an end so it was free to enter but cost if you want to cut flowers. Strawberry season is in. They are so red, ripped, easy to get to but sadly sour at the moment. $10 for small bucket, $15 for large, those without buckets are $5 entry fee. Blueberries are starting to be in season. They have 4 types that started blooming since January and throughout the year. U-pick is only on Fridays from 2-5pm because of the limited quantity. They are grown in pots. $6 entry for each person and you get a small container. Path: Ranunculus are at the very far end. To get to the strawberry fields, you follow the red fence walk way over the hill. It's about 5 minutes. There's a person there to greet you and hand you a bag after. Across from the strawberry field is the watermelon field. That's not available for u-pick. Next to that is the blueberry area. Activities: -Certified Farmers Market on Fridays 2-6pm. You can come to pick blueberries and hang out after wards. -A shaded area with chairs and tables to hang out. -Animals and giant empty spare tires for kids to hang out. -Check their socials often as there are events throughout.

OMG this place is amazing! I found a video on TikTok and decided to check it out. First off, the strawberries I picked are delicious. Day 3 and they still taste so fresh. The FLOWER FIELDS? Omg! I feel it goes on forever. The variety of flowers is amazing. This place is so wholesome I definitely can't wait to come back.

What a gem this farm stand is! We visited during strawberry & ranunculas season. The prices are so affordable and it's not overly crowded. There's a few activities like bounce houses, rock painting, and gem mining for kiddos! The workers were all very friendly & helpful!

We had a great time at the watermelon festival the farm held last week. We took the tractor ride around the farm and got to see all of the beautiful flower fields, watermelon & strawberry fields. We bought two watermelons, I had no idea they had yellow watermelons, so delicious! The live music was great & our kiddo enjoyed rock painting. We will definitely return next year!

My first time here was summer and October of last year with the grandchildren. We recently came here again to do some strawberry picking. But in between those visits I've made stops for some fresh produce and flowers. The gals that tend to the stand are friendly and helpful. At times you will find some interesting produce. There is packaged nuts and candy available for purchase. I found out they have homemade ice cream I hope to try on the next visit. Don't miss them on Instagram and Facebook. You will find out the current happening's. They have tractor rides on the weekend, something I need to checkout with the grandkiddos. They have summer events too which hasn't worked out for me to attend. But they have a covered area with seating . This is a graveled parking area and the fields are in full working force, at least on Thursday. Expect it to be dusty, so anyone with health issues should take care. Be sure to check them out. We are hoping they will have the corn maze this year. The grandchildren enjoyed it very much, me as well.

You have probably been told " life is not all unicorns and rainbows". Maybe, it's true. Here at Mellano Farm Stand, it is definitely a place for strawberries and flowers. We picked up both on our visit and they were lovely. However, maybe unicorns do exist. I had the wonderful opportunity to experience a " unicorn encounter" at the Mellano Farm Stand flower fields. Most of us have seen a rainbow, although they can be fleeting. However, a close up unicorn encounter is magical. It is as real as a child or your inner child can imagine it. Next time you are thinking about how you wish life was made up of rainbows and unicorns, come out to the Mellano Farm stand and eat the rainbow of fruits and veggies and schedule... "A unicorn encounter!" It's something you must experience yourself. Hop on a tractor ride, pick your own strawberries and enjoy the magic. #MellanoFarmStand #Oceanside #RainbowsAndUnicorns #Strawberries

SOMEWHERE UNDER THE RAINBOW When I was a kid, my favorite animal in the entire world was all of them. I Shih Tzu not. From alligators to zebras, I was completely fascinated. But there was one animal that was never mentioned in school, the unicorn! Why wasn't the unicorn included in any of our classes? Why did mom insist that unicorns were just make-believe? Why, whenever I asked zookeepers which way to the unicorns, they just gave me a large dose of resting cranky face? I borrowed a book from the library, now known as 3D Wikipedia. Apparently, unicorns were discovered in Ancient Greece. I learned a lot, but it didn't help me find a real one. I was beginning to think unicorns really didn't exist... and I closed my eyes and fell asleep. "Psst... you up?" I abruptly awoke and there, before my sleep-filled eyes, appeared a pure white unicorn! He had magical sparkling eyes, a tiny beard on its chin, and a glimmering horn on his forehead. "I heard you've been looking for me," said the unicorn. "I thought you were made up?" I whispered. "Not at all. It's just that when word got out-- we were stalked and chased by humans... especially Paparazzi... all for a stupid 'photographic impression'. After a few centuries of that, we settled down in a quiet, unfamiliar place." "Where?" "I can't say because it's a secret." I begged and pleaded and even promised to not tell anyone until the most unlikely of things that could ever happen in the future... "not until uh.. we can fly to Mars, and vehicles drive themselves, and uhh-- when we watch TV on a wrist watch!!", I mused. "Very well, then" and the unicorn leaned in and whispered into my ear. "Ahhh! Makes perfect sense. Thanks for telling me you exist," I said. In the blink of an eye he was gone. Years went by and I kept my promise, never disclosing how to find unicorns. Since we have now flown to Mars, use fancy watches, and vehicles that self drive-- I can now reveal the secret. Please don't post it on the Internet. Secret tip: You can find the most gregarious unicorns, named Snowflake and Blue at Mellano Farms in Oceanside, frolicking in the flower fields anytime there is a rainbow. We took a photographic impression to prove it. RELATED REVIEWS: *Birthday Bro-hang With Bigfoot* *Mingling With Mermaids: The Woke Way* *HOBBIES: For People Without Psychedelics*

The u-pick strawberries makes for a fun weekend activity! They had a Mother's Day deal which also made this super affordable! The fields are a decent size and there were plenty of delicious strawberries to go around. It wasn't too hard to find enough to more than fill our bucket. They also had live music, food trucks, bounce houses, goats, and a tractor ride.

All product is from the farm . If you're looking for a beautiful bouquet of flowers . Only $5.00 on Fridays
Suzanne Z.

I have always wanted to come by and check out their produce. What a great surprise you can buy a beautiful bouquet of flowers on Fridays for $5.00. Every item we purchased is grown on the farm and a few items are from local farms. A must go !!

Large strawberries perfect for chocolate dipping

All 11 of us in the group enjoyed our visit here thoroughly and plan on returning with other friends and family. We had to make a quick change of plans after we reviewed another popular local Strawberry picking location and heard they weren't having the greatest or friendliest service. I researched around, noticed many U-picks require advanced reservations and it was impossible to find anything with a slot for 11 people. I called this place and got quick answers and was told we could just walk in! $10 for entrance fee with a bucket included, you could upgrade to a larger bucket for $15. They have an adorable veggie stand, some fresh but limited flowers for sale, many succulents and plants and honey from their farm! The $10 admission gives you entrance to the farm, the strawberry picking bucket AND as an unexpected bonus, the flower fields of ranunculus. We have amazing photos from our visit here. Plus they offer family deals if you want a ride in the tractor too.

Ask the Community - Mellano Farm Stand

I'm wondering if you are selling evergreen garland again this year? I bought some 6ft live garland last year and am interested again.?

Are dogs allowed?

We didn't initially bring ours because we weren't sure. They said dogs comfortable with farm animals were welcome. Our dog helps us run 2 virtual farms so pretty sure that counts.

How much does it cost to do the corn maze?

Harry, this is from memory, and I didn't opt to do the Corn Maze so .... I hope I dont post misinformation (but the yelp site is Claimed, maybe Manager or owners can confirm) $6?
