I didn't think any of the family photos would be usable :P my daughter is not one to pose and stay still. Celi was so kind and brought blocks for her to play with. She loved them & they helped to distract during the shoot. Celi's patience and flexibility with us put me at ease as we took some solo photos, some with just my husband and I, and family shots whenever our daughter would sit still. Great turn around time with the photos as well. Often times you hear it could take weeks for other photographers to have them ready. Thankful to have Celi capture this time as we grow into a family of four!

Unfortunately, plans changed, and she was unable to come up. My family and I planned an impromptu short trip to Carlsbad for Legoland, and I checked if she had any availability. Lucky for us, she did, and we jumped right on it. Julie is awesome to work with. Not only does she have a great talent with capturing priceless moments, but she is so helpful throughout the whole process. When I was at a loss of what to wear, she gave some suggestions and provided feedback on pictures I sent to her. My kids loved her! When she noticed they were too excited, she went with it. When she noticed they were starting to get tired, she made them laugh. They definitely had fun. The photos came out beautifully. They were full of color, and our hopes of having different, more modern family photos were surely filled. My wife came across them on Yelp! and we hired them to do the photo and video shoot for my parents' 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary. Mind you, we hired them less than a month before the actual event. David and Jerome took the time to do a phone call with us and walk through the entire itinerary of the day from the ceremony at Mission San Diego through the entire reception at the Gaylord Pacific. I really enjoyed working with all of them. They were so kind, warm, and detail oriented. I can't say enough about Fate Studios and how they made this event a truly memorable event! I also pitched an idea to Jerome about doing an AI video of my parents, describing their love story and how they met 50 years ago in the Philippines. Jerome has years of experience as a filmmaker in the Philippines and has worked for one of their large TV networks there, so he's a pro. I was nervous that we wouldn't have enough time to take this video from start to finish, but Jerome assured me that he could deliver. We presented the surprise AI video to my parents after we showed their slide show and the crowd was truly mesmerized! Many of our guests told me that the AI video was an awesome concept. But let me say that David, Jerome, and their team were awesome! I feel as though I gained some friends for life. The second I met them in person it felt like I had known them for a long time. They also knew how to get my parents to take pictures. You know, once you get older the excitement for these kinds of things is not the same as when you first got married :). So if you need a great team of folks who just make you feel at ease with a big event, look no further! Since my family was already dressed and ready we were walking in the plaza Bonita mall and I ran into the picture place. I walked in and asked if by any chance they did walk ins, the manager was super nice and told me that they did and asked if we wanted to take pictures since we were all matching lol. I asked what was there deals and she told me she had a couple and walked me through them. While taking the pictures both the manager Laura and Jennifer were amazing! We took family pictures and pictures of my one year old and man they did such a great job in catching the babies attention and taking his pictures! We will definitely be back!

I asked her about a coupon that I found on the Internet and she said let me go get my manager . the "manager" came very unprofessional with no customer service . . She had her little son with her. She couldn't talk to me at all. The only thing she said about the coupon is that it was for a different place which I didn't notice that I had a name changed.. I don't know if this place went from people picture to people place if that's the name now she said she was the owner when I asked her for her name because I didn't get any good response from her. She was distracted by her son or grandson. She didn't asked any more questions and started walking away . It just seemed that she was rushing me out /getting rid of me. I had my baby with me and I was ready to take pictures. Her name is Laura. I think that's what she said and if you are really the owner of this place, you need to get more customer service practice because you lack that a lot no wonder your place is always empty. I used to go to this place all the time since my daughters were born. I used to be named differently and then it became people Picture and now is people place. I will not return to this place for your lack of customer service and discrimination that's how I felt.

so I've known Jenna for a couple of years through our exercise class and admired her photography…read morethrough her blog. When my son was born and my parents came to visit, I couldn't think of a better person to mark the arrival of my firstborn and their first grandchild. We set up a session in Balboa Park, originally at lunchtime, but Jenna recommended we do it at sunset because of the light and what an inspired idea. We spent an hour of fun in Balboa, moving around to different locations in the park, to the untrained eye, seemingly normal settings, but to Jenna's eye, the perfect place to capture special moments. I'd never done an informal session before, only stiff, studio portraits, but Jenna put us all at our ease with her relaxed personality and special touch. I waited with bated breath for a couple of days and as she promised, there were a selection of photos on her blog with a very personal and sincere message. Luckily my parents were still here and we were all blown away. Well that's an understatement to say the least. We were just amazed at how beautifully she had captured us all, esp my son and his developing personality.There were pictures in there I don't even remember being taken, because they were so natural and full of spontaneity We didn't have to think twice about ordering the CD with all the shots on. So I am saying to all of you reading this, with a special family occasion in mind............HIRE THIS GIRL!! She is amazing and talented, and has that rare capacity to be warm, friendly and yet thoroughly professional with her subjects. I can't wait for our next session!

Fast forward to a couple weekends ago; on short notice I was able to book an extended family session near by my house with no issues at all. Rachel had me fill out a pre-shoot questionnaire so she knew all the deets and everyone's names upon arrival. I can't recommend her enough! She did awesome with my 2 small kiddos and let us take home a few instant photographs. Her quick turnaround time during the holidays is an added bonus.
