Only the *tiniest* bit bummed, we decided to still get married and scheduled our civil ceremony. But now, I want a photographer to document this event... I think I found Emily on Instagram, after looking around at different photographers' work. I remember really liking Emily's style, how natural everyone looked, and how well Emily captured the moments. I think those were/are the most important things for me for choosing a photog, and it helped that Emily has (solid) reviews for me to go through as well. Emily was prompt in responding via email, and offered to chat on the phone to discuss the details and what I wanted. After talking for a bit, I sent over a deposit and we were set! Or not... because a week or two before our shoot, I looked at my civil ceremony appointment time and it was actually for 8am, NOT 8:30am. Yikes! I text Emily, nervous that she wouldn't be able to make the earlier time, and I would need to scramble for another photographer, but thankfully, Emily is flexible and okay with the earlier time. Phew! I also wasn't quite sure *what* I wanted from the photos (POSES? props!? specific backgrounds?!) but found some pictures I liked and sent them to Emily a day or two before our appointment, so she had an idea what I was going for. I appreciate Emily's responsiveness! The actual civil ceremony felt a little hectic; we did not know what it would entail -- paperwork, of course, and then waiting because there were other couples that were getting married that day. Thankfully, Emily was very patient. Emily is personable, friendly, and professional. She is very easy to work with, and helped the husband (!!) and I feel comfortable. Nothing felt forced, and I think she did a great job of eliciting and capturing our authentic moments. We are super pleased with the pictures and I can't stop looking at them! Lol. I would *definitely* solicit Emily's services again. Maybe for one of her fun mini shoots down the line. What a cute, low pressure and creative way to get some quality photos! Absolutely, ridiculous price when I can pay for a private photographer to shoot in the field for $400 and send me 60 edited shots. Or go to Sphere self serve photo and get a 15 min shoot with 60 edited shots for only $89. Employees and management were rude and would not work with me at all on pricing. They also would not refund me the $40 I spent to reserve my 30 minute slot less than 24 hours ago. They had open availability all day today, I wonder why. Very disappointed, this is not a way to treat a potential customer! You could've had my business if you just tried a little harder, sad!

I didn't think any of the family photos would be usable :P my daughter is not one to pose and stay still. Celi was so kind and brought blocks for her to play with. She loved them & they helped to distract during the shoot. Celi's patience and flexibility with us put me at ease as we took some solo photos, some with just my husband and I, and family shots whenever our daughter would sit still. Great turn around time with the photos as well. Often times you hear it could take weeks for other photographers to have them ready. Thankful to have Celi capture this time as we grow into a family of four!

We flew from Madrid, Spain to San Francisco and were home for less than 8 hours before taking off again for our wedding. We landed a few days prior to the scheduled ceremony. WE WERE WRECKED. Our body clocks were all out of whack. We had planned an impromptu wedding on our favorite beach with a small group of about 30 family and friends in attendance. With all destination weddings, the stuff leading up to the big day can be a little overwhelming. Family arriving. People pulling you in all directions. Checking on catering, music, etc. Two days on the island of relaxation and my wife was STRESSED OUT! She literally told Richwell she wanted to skip the ceremony and do just the dinner (we had gotten married at the courthouse several months prior). She was done with it. He arranged where everyone was to stand and basically set us up on the beach in the perfect location for his photographs. Our wedding turned out AMAZING.
