We met a few times in the months leading up to check in about my plans and for her to offer suggestions and guidance. All her recommendations were excellent, from timeline details to referring other vendors. She knows the Outdoor Art Club (a historic building) inside and out, so I was able to relax completely and not worry about their rules and requirements at all, trusting that Stacey had it covered. I made things more complicated by having our ceremony at a nearby park instead of OAC, but even with that added everything went absolutely perfectly. She also did an excellent job setting up all the decorations to make the room look gorgeous, and packing it all up for us at the end of the night, including a mail order Photo Booth that had to be packed just right back in its original box. She also had a number of decorations we could use (frames for signage, a card box, some candles, candelabras and votives, blankets for the ceremony) that were incredibly helpful. She had all the logistics and details covered, letting us and our families just enjoy the night and float through each different part without any worries! As the bride, I didn't think about anything but celebrating all night, and that is all thanks to Stacey's expertise. She also did our save the dates and invitations, as well as much of the signage for the wedding itself, and they were all beautiful. She really went above and beyond, including finding a specific font and actually creating some design elements herself that fit my vision, and I'm so appreciative!

She does offer a list of vendors, but if you are seeking more customized event planning, you will have to do a little more research on your own. Her florist, Michelle is great and her baker, Ora-Beth is terrific, but her tuxedo recommendation was sub-par. We selected our own photographer, videographer, make-up professionals and hairstylists. If you are willing to do a little or a lot of homework, then Sharon may be your person. Otherwise, there may be better options for the money and headaches.

To add to our complexity, it was a destination wedding on the other side of the country. We knew we had to hire a wedding planner and there was no shortage of options in the Napa and Sonoma valley. We had a few calls with different planners, yet the minute we hung up the phone with Sharon Burns of Napa Valley Custom Events, we knew it was a done deal. We called her back within minutes and basically proposed to her to be our planner! It was a decision that felt so right; it proved to be the best decision of our entire wedding planning process. She filled in all of the spots where we were "weak" and supported or molded all the thoughts and wants we had in areas that were our non-negotiables. She maintained our vendor contracts, worked hard in negotiating hotel wedding blocks and even managed most payments throughout the whole process. So many of the stresses and mundane tasks of wedding planning and execution weren't even on our radar as Sharon took care of them all. We were already floored by all of her work done leading up to our wedding; then THE DAY came. Sharon delivered even more then we could have imagined! She was at our venue for well over 13 hours preparing, organizing, leading and even calming us throughout the event. We worried about nothing and got to enjoy everything. She ensured our whole wedding party was in place when they needed to be, our families were calm and relaxed, and, of course, that we were both smiling and enjoying every aspect of our day. Sharon even made sure that we were eating and staying hydrated throughout the most memorable day of our lives. The day was simply perfect!
