Everything she created - from the small boutonnieres to the large wine barrel arrangements - was stunning. She also managed all the candles on our reception tables and the gauze table runner for the head table. Susan is very organized and responsive, and was a pleasure to work with. We interviewed at least 14 florists and ultimately decided with Claire at PoppyStone. Her price point was on par with the competition in the area. Her design was gorgeous. Our coordinator (Kristen from Sugar Rush) strongly endorsed her most of all. When we first met her our appointment had to be cut short so we didn't get to fully go over our vision. However, we followed-up via phone and even made another appointment to visit in person. I wasn't sure she'd capture our style as her pictures seem more French Garden than English Garden, however, she totally did. We wanted purples and pinks accented (but not overdone) by greens. She couldn't have nailed our desired look and feel any better. At the wedding, I was blown away how beautiful my bouquet and all the other flowers looked. People were raving about them. She decorated the chuppah perfectly (she brought it so I didn't go through Encore). The bouquets, table decorations, etc. were magical. I loved the card holder we rented from her. Everything was just incredibly beautiful and couldn't have been more perfect. Her florals for the cake were absolutely stunning. I couldn't have been more pleased if I wanted to. Claire is the best! Wedding florals was one of our more difficult vendors to book, mostly because there is so much chatter around how expensive and fleeting florals are. Luckily for us, we had budgeted for this because we felt it was important for the design and feel we wanted during our ceremony and reception. We ended up working with Susan, the owner, as our wedding coordinator works frequently with her and felt her style was consistent with what we wanted. While there was still a good amount of sticker shock from our initial quote, Susan listened to our vision and budget, and was able to modify the cost and specifics of some of our line items to fall within a budget that we were comfortable with. When we saw Susan and her associates' work on our wedding day, we were blown away. From the bouquet, to our ceremony arbor, and the table centerpieces, it was everything I envisioned and then some. Between the pops of color, to the texture, and the beautiful gold accents consistent with our overall design, I had total heart eyes. I never thought I'd be the girl that becomes attached to her wedding bouquet, but I was clutching onto it for dear life and immediately started looking into ways to preserve or otherwise make a keepsake out of it! If you are debating on whether or not to inquire or book, I would take a close look at Poppystones' portfolio of work. I have yet to see a bouquet, boutonnière, arrangement, that isn't just stunningly beautiful and unique. Claire is amazing and is very easy to work with. I interviewed a couple florist for my wedding in Napa but decided to go with Claire because she has worked with all my vendors previously. Her prices are on average to most florist in Napa. Our first meeting was over the phone and Claire walked me through patiently her services and what I wanted throughout the ceremony and dinner. Throughout the planning process Claire was communicative and always open to listen to my wants/needs/changes. Claire is truly an artist! I didn't have a lot of solid ideas about my wedding flowers. I just knew I wanted bold, bright, happy colors. She put together the most detailed proposal I have ever seen. That sealed the deal for me! From our very first phone call, I knew immediately I wanted to work with Susan. She was super personable over the phone, flexible, detail oriented, and seemed to be totally in sync with me and my wedding day vision. I called and left a message regarding wedding flowers three weeks ago, and still haven't heard back. If there's one thing preparing for a wedding has taught me, it's that customer service and professional courtesy are largely foregone arts; basic concepts such as returning potential customers' inquiries no longer apply apparently, and not just to florists- I've been blown off by salons, photographers, jewelers, you name it. PoppyStone isn't unique here, but it was still disappointing, and they get a one star rating for one star professionalism. Update: The owner reached out to me, both below (as you can see), and via message. I can't imagine what happened, but I've had two other vendors message me on here, and it seems this is a big problem: People don't receive my emails or voicemails inquiring about services, but they hear me loud and clear when I write a negative review of their business which accurately reflects my experience. In any event, Claire was quite kind to write a message and to offer to send a complimentary arrangement as an apology, and I've added two stars to reflect my appreciation for her gesture. read more
