Looking for a wedding planner? Look no further. We hired Off The Beaten Path May 2020 for our wedding on September 16, 2021 which was our first best decision we made. After talking to Stephanie the first time we knew she was a perfect fit. Price is very reasonable especially in the Napa county area, she is very sweet, extremely helpful (especially since we are from Hawaii), organized--of course super important for a wedding planner, and doesn't mind I emailed and texted her frequently. Stephanie was everything we needed her to be. She let me have my creative ideas yet was there to rely on for input and amazing execution. She helped setup introductions to any vendors, reviewed every contract, and looked into any questions we had. She let us feel at ease but did not take control of every aspect that let us design our dream wedding. Stephanie sent a website that became my most visited website over that span of one and a half years, Aisle Planner. I absolutely love organization and that website was just that, a website to organize tasks, retain info and ideas, progress percentage, and connect to OTBP. On to the wedding day, Stephanie made sure everything went so smoothly and went off without a hitch! Everything was done exactly how I wanted and even better. She directed our guests to where they needed to go and pay attention to. She truly is the best and was so essential to why our wedding came out like a dream. Glad we asked to take a photo with her in our Photo Booth before she left for the night. She will forever be apart of our fridge. Shout out to Gloria, OTBP calligrapher, who wrote on the growlers that we sent her for table seating which came out beautifully. Thank you Stephanie and the team at Off The Beaten Path!!

Hiring Stephanie goes down in the books as the single most important piece of advice I would give to any couple planning a wedding. Everything else could have been a little different and the wedding would have been fine. But a Stephanie-less wedding would have transformed the year before the wedding from full of easy breezy joy to full of stress. And let's face it, look at her Instagram, her taste is 100 times better than mine. Without her my gorgeous wedding that could have been featured on some popular wedding Instagram account would have looked just OK. Working with Stephanie means no matter what, you will have a breathtaking wedding. Whether you are like me and you just want to show up to an Instagram perfect wedding without putting in the work, or you are someone with a vision of the beauty that is going to ooze from every carefully chosen wedding detail....Stephanie is your girl. Like I said, I more so fall in that category of "I want a stunning wedding but I don't want to make it happen." I showed up and was greeted by what was genuinely the most beautiful event I have ever attended. All I did was send Stephanie a pinterest board! Not that she did not give me every opportunity to be as involved as I wanted to be. She would often email and ask if I wanted to give input on a certain detail. And if I said yes, she crafted the input into a multiple choice question where I just chose between 3 darling options-totally my decision making speed. I have no doubt she will involve you how you want to be involved. I have no doubt she will ensure your wedding is stunning. I have no doubt she will flow the day along so you can just enjoy it and not once think about if those tables are setup yet or if the band is going to arrive on time. It felt like magic was gliding the wedding along-and isn't that what we all want-a magic forward day? HIRE STEPHANIE! You will not regret it. I still feel like I was so much less stressed than all my friends were getting married and I give her the credit for making that the case.

The fact that she wanted come back was an indicator that this restaurant would be a good experience as Mom has very high standards. According to Anthony Bourdain, "A bouchon is a uniquely Lyonnaise institution, a casual, laid-back kind of a pub/bistro with a limited, usually old-school menu and always, always an unpretentious vibe. People come here to unwind, to relax, and to eat with abandon." Bouchon is chef Thomas Keller's (The French Laundry) heartfelt homage to the traditional French bistro in Napa Valley's charming 1.5 square mile town of Yountville. Located across the street from V Marketplace on Washington Street, we easily found free parking in the lot adjacent to the market. The restaurant is housed in a cozy red building that sits right next door to its sibling bakery. Decorated with whites, reds and marble tones, the velvet banquette seating and polished brass accents pop out through the wood furnishings and mosaic floor design. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The place was buzzing with almost every table occupied in the tightly-seated dining room. The seasons dictate what's on offer at Bouchon. The menu features a variety of traditional French dishes that perfectly highlight the essence of bistro dining. Upon seating, we were served a complimentary ramekin of pistachios alongside some butter and pain d'épi, the classic "stalk of wheat" variation on the classic baguette. Below are what we ordered: Escargots de Bourgogne ($19.75) - Six Burgundy snails cooked in parsley-garlic butter, each topped with Bouchon Bakery's puff pastry, were all absolute perfection, as expected. Soupe à l'Oignon ($19.75) - A true test of a French bistro is its French onion soup, and Bouchon's comforting, piping hot bowl of caramelized sweet onions, savoury beef jus, topped with country bread and melted Comté cheese, did not disappoint. Served in a proper vessel? Yes. Baked with a toasted baguette slice and ooey, gooey cheese topper? Check. The flavour of the soup base was also richly robust. I couldn't decide between the Saumon Poêlé ($38.00) and the Steak Frites ($47.50). Since our waiter said that I could have a side of the sauce au poivre from the Poitrine de Boeuf au Poivre ($45.00) with the Steak Frites, I had to go this route as it's one of my favourites. No regrets at all on my choice; I savoured every bite of the delicious pan-seared prime flat iron steak topped with maitre d'hôtel butter and side of crispy French fries. The additional sauce au poivre was the cherry on top. Steak Frites truly is the quintessential bistro entrée and Bouchon's was excellent. Service was great. As a sweet birthday gift, Mom was given a pack of chocolate brownies, served on a plate alongside a lit candle to blow and make a wish. Dinner was remarkable. I'm not surprised that Mom chose to return here for her birthday dinner. I loved Bouchon so much that it's now my favourite restaurant in Napa Valley. Yes, I was able to decide this from my first visit. I most definitely will return. It's a must!

We found Brooke by searching for wedding planners that had worked with our venue (Timber Cove Resort) before. Having worked there before, it was a huge plus that she already knew the coordinators and had cultivated relationships with trusted vendors who were familiar with the property. This insider knowledge made our planning process very smooth. We decided to go with the partial planning package, which fit our needs well. Early in the planning process, we'd spend time researching vendors on our own as well as ask Brooke for her recommendations, then reach out to the vendors on both of our lists. We found ourselves choosing her suggestions almost every time. Her industry experience and keen eye for quality vendors became obvious very quickly, yet she never made us feel pressured to go with any particular choice. She simply provided excellent options and let us make the decisions. Throughout the entire process, Brooke was incredibly mindful of our budget. In our very first meeting, she showed us a detailed budget from a previous wedding she did at our venue and walked us through each line item, pointing out areas where we might want to allocate more or less based on our priorities. This level of transparency and attention to detail immediately gave us confidence in her approach. Her communication style was exactly what we needed. We often sent her emails late at night, and Brooke would consistently respond first thing the next morning with clear, comprehensive answers. There was not a single time that she didn't address a concern in one of our emails, even when we sent her massive lists. She was also always proactive about letting us know when she'd be on vacation well in advance, allowing us to plan our questions and timeline accordingly. Brooke's flexibility was another standout quality. While our contract only covered the wedding day itself, we had planned a Welcome Dinner the night before and a Farewell Brunch the day after that we intended to handle ourselves. Unlike other planners we'd heard about from our friends who strictly limit their involvement to contracted days (which is understandable), Brooke was incredibly supportive when questions came up about these additional events. She went above and beyond by helping us order linens from the rental company and create layouts for these extra events. Not to say that future clients should expect this kind of support for non-contracted events by any means, but we were grateful for her willingness to lend a helping hand with the extra details that made our entire wedding weekend cohesive and stress-free. When our wedding day arrived, everything ran flawlessly! Even when we had a last-minute request to move our toasts indoors due to wind and chilly weather, Brooke handled it seamlessly without missing a beat. We can't imagine having planned our wedding without Brooke. Her expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for our vision made what could have been an overwhelming process both enjoyable and successful. We truly couldn't think of anything negative when she asked for our feedback after the wedding. We absolutely recommend her without reservation!

She truly pulled out all the stops to create the most magical, heavenly day of my life! My husband and I were in awe and so impressed by her, especially since we are pretty detail oriented ourselves. Brooke is even more so, and genuinely cared that our wedding day was perfectly executed from start to finish. She is prompt when responding to emails and texts and is always on time. In addition, her extensive industry experience is obvious and came in handy time and time again as we navigated the complicated wedding planning process. It is important to note that she is also very kind, understanding, and hard working, so I never once felt uncomfortable asking her questions or for tasks to be done. Brooke knew how much I cared about the look and feel of our wedding being just right, and she completely blew me out of the water - so much so that I cried for the first time before walking down the aisle when she gave me a sneak peak of the reception hall. And on my wedding night, Brooke provided all of my bridesmaids flip flops and even went back to our hotel to grab the flats I left behind so that we could dance the night away! She is so special and a true artist. Without a doubt - there is no one else you should hire for your wedding planner - Brooke is the one! (Nicole and Nicholas Errico - Sonoma Golf Club - 6/3/23)

I felt very comfortable and the vibes were all positive. The selection of flights were great and a reasonable price point. Think twice (or more) and don't do it!…read more A group of four couples (hailing from Michigan to New Mexico) were flying into Napa for a long-planned get-together. We rented a home through VRBO and thought it would be a treat to have a catered meal from Epicurean Escape. The price was over $1000 but seemed well worth it and we paid the bill 10 days prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, if not unbelievably, we were alerted by VRBO the very next day that our contract was being cancelled as the rental house had just been purchased by a new owner. Thinking we might have to cancel the trip as VRBO might not have an alternative (they did not), we immediately contacted the caterer that we would have to cancel plans. This was 9 days prior to the planned dinner. The caterer then informed us that this was beyond their normal 10 day cancellation policy and there was nothing they could do other than a (hold your breath) 25% refund!! provide a 'credit' - a great idea for a group of 8 with most of us living thousands of miles away, or assisting us in relocating to a new venue. We eventually located a hotel where we could stay and proceeded with the trip - still very much disappointed with the caterer for not refunding our money with 9 days prior notice (along with forwarding them the note of cancellation from VRBO). With a $150 delivery fee charged by the caterer for delivery to our hotel, and no way for us to warm the food in our rooms, we anticipated the meal would arrive on serving trays with sterno heaters. But of course not.. The server who delivered the food was very nice and accommodating (we tipped them as well even though the paid contract already included an 18% gratuity fee). We began eating immediately, only to find all the food (fish and beef main courses) at room temperature. Perhaps everything would have tasted better had it been heated, but classifying the meal as 'mediocre' would be overly kind. Making matters worse (if that's possible), we have been promised a 'final' contract as three of the planned attendees could not attend, and the caterer agreed to 'adjust', only to never hear back from them almost 2 weeks later. Inflexible policy + less than thrilling meals = at least in my book, an experience worth avoiding at all costs. Caveat emptor.
