Its not pga status. But its perfect for practice, teaching, introducing people to the sport. If you can putt in those greens you can putt in any course lol

For the price this is a great place to hit the range, chip or putt. The greens are dry and not so green. The staff is friendly and everyone that plays here is friendly. Every Thursday there is a $20 tournament really fun and challenging.

This place is open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset. Perfect par 3 course for short game practice. It's a hidden Gem!

3 years ago I started playing at melrose golf course this was the course that introduced me to my golf addiction. It does have its rough edges as any course does but melrose has such welcoming atmosphere. This place has dialed inn my 150 yard inn shots and chipping around the greens is my strongest suit thanks to melrose. This is a great spot for anyone just getting into golf as well as someone wanting to attack pins on other courses from approach range. Kid and dog friendly and the best part is BYOB. Management just fixed the irrigation system so greens should be rolling pure in the next coming weeks. 10 stars highly recommend this place!!!

    Carts for rent

Not crowded. Very reasonable green fees. Good place to improve your short game. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A "basic" no frills golf course, as they used to be.

It's Nov 2019 and the Par 3 course is still open. This was something I wasn't sure about when I wanted to check this place out with friends. I called two days in a row multiple times but no one picked up. Turns out it's because the guys running it are outside playing, too. Price is cheap, and it's cash only. $12/pp and an additional $3 for a pull cart for your clubs which I recommend. The grass is very coarse and the "green" around the flag is just grass and sand half of the time. Expect: very very low traffic coming through, ant mounds everywhere you step, dog shit everywhere (the owners have about 4 dogs on the premise that run around but they're very tame). This is good for beginners only and if you haven't gone to many golf clubs. If you are an avid golfer and have been to regular clubs, this place might disgust you. Only come here if you're looking to f- around and not play a real game. Gave it 2 stars for ease of course and price.

This is the absolute worst golf course in the history of golf courses. No golf carts either.

Ask the Community - Melrose Golf Club

    Do they rent out carts?

I don't recall any motorized carts. They do rent push/pull carts. The course isn't that expansive so a motorized cart isn't necessary. This course is a rough gem in need of some city funds to polish it up, which could then justify slightly higher…

Do you provide the option to rent golf clubs?

    Yes

Does any one know if this is still open? My boyfriend is a pretty good player but he wants to teach me and I just don't want to be embarrassed when I'm learning to play somewhere big

    Yes. Open 365

East River 9 is the spot to go hang out, have a bite to eat, and play a quick round of 9-holes or hit at the driving range. East River 9 also has a restaurant along with a huge outdoor patio. We've been here several times and their cheeseburger is one of the best we've ever had! The only down side is it's a bit small for your average burger. One of the server's mistakenly thought it was a kid's cheeseburger. She even said they were the same size. The cheesecake tasted bland with a creamy milky taste rather than cream cheese. The only complaint I have was our server was rude and had an attitude. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name. She was unfriendly and short with us. I guess she didn't want to be there that night working, but I didn't appreciate her rudeness. I asked politely for a receipt and she just slapped it on the table without saying anything. However, Jaden was helping her and he was very attentive and offered great service! It won't stop us from coming here, we'll just make sure it's not in her section.

This summer…read morehas been brutally hot and I could not imagine playing putt putt golf outdoors, and I'm happy to know that the Puttery is a place where you can escape the heat and enjoy some great food and drinks. The building is quite large and parking is a little tricky. I drove through the main parking lot and exited behind the building to find a large paid parking lot that the Puttery will validate for you. The decor is classy and thoughtful and the employee at the register was friendly and informative. My party decided to eat dinner before golfing and the waitress was upbeat and seated us promptly. The food and drinks were quite delicious! The spicy tuna crispy rice had nicely seasoned tuna and paired perfectly with the crispy rice. The rice itself was a tad too sweet for my liking. The brisket jalapeño spring rolls were different and I enjoyed the combination of brisket and the smooth cream cheese. The elote style corn ribs were nicely presented and I've never had corn ribs elote style before. The pizza was pretty good but I wish the toppings were more plentiful. The short rib was tender and flavorful and I liked the pairing with the peppery arugula. The courses were super thoughtfully planned out and I appreciated the different themes in each section. The attention to detail was very obvious and I enjoyed going through the courses. My diagnosis: wonderful destination for indoor putt putt and yummy food.

Due to traffic we ended up arriving closer to 6:30 pm but it was no problem. Because it was a Tuesday, the crowds were light. I bet it can get crowded on the weekends because it's such a cool place. We got our wrist bands and proceeded upstairs where there is a lot of restaurant seating and a bar. We decided to eat before playing and that ended up being a great decision. The food and drink were quite good! I had a Sam Adams IPA draft - perfect! The elote corn ribs, spring rolls, tuna with crispy rice, and short rib pizza were all excellent! The waitress recommended the elote corn and short rib pizza so we went with those plus a few other options. Temperature and texture and flavor of all the food items were on point. Now on to mini golf. The place has two sets of 9 hole areas. The holes get progressively harder. You keep score via an iPad at each hole. Overall, the most impressive part was the decor. It's obvious they spent a lot of money on the decor (and the place is just huge) and they've maintained the place quite well so far. Now you're probably thinking "fun place off Washington? I bet parking sucks." There is actually a huge parking just north of the Puttery building and the parking is validated by Puttery! It's like a dream come true. :) If you're looking for a fun date place or a group hang out, check this place out!
