No weird energy, no upsell script, just calm, slightly concerned "I've seen this before" energy. I give the most useless description possible--like "I want something smooth but not too smooth... but also not scary"--and somehow she translates that into an actual, solid recommendation. Whole interaction felt like I got assigned a retail guardian angel for 5 minutes. Drink was actually good too, which is rare because I usually pick bottles based on vibes and font. Anyway, Cindy, YOU are carrying this location on your back. Promote her before another store tries to recruit her like it's free agency. 10/10, would absolutely trust her judgment again.

If you want to pull into the Columbia St. entrance and you turned onto Columbia from Florida Ave, you'll have to cross double yellows unless you make a U-Turn further down Columbia. If you use the Florida Ave. entrance, the parking spots are angled correctly but the traffic leaving the lot is not and turning around there sucks. Aside from that, which causes me a nominal amount of stress every time I go there, I can always find what I'm looking for, the staff are ALWAYS friendly and helpful, the prices are very good compared to other liquor stores and the late hours are super convenient. Maybe someday the parking will get better but even if it got worse, I wouldn't think twice about going somewhere else.
