I was about to go that route, but a co-worker of mine told me how they got screwed over with an hourly basis company as the estimate was far off from the actual hours and it ended up being extremely expensive. So we called KT Express that does short or long distance packing/moving. The owner came to the house and did an estimate on packing everything, disassembling beds/TVs/washers/dryers/etc and putting on the truck, moving, then re-assembling furniture appliances, etc and putting the boxes back in the correct rooms!! All for a very similar estimate price on the hourly companies... also, there was a peace of mind knowing what was quoted was a flat charge and I wouldn't have to pay a dime extra if they worked more hours than they had planned. On a side note, they packed everything with packing paper so that nothing would get damaged. Also, they bring the boxes, tape, packing paper, blankets, etc which they use to pack your stuff. All included!!

I feel like this is risky for client's belongings but more importantly, not safe or protective of the movers' bodies! Quan and Tim were all smiles nonetheless but still, it made me so sad for them. Even in the hospital, we have mechanical lifts to help us lift our heavy patients. These guys have to lift furniture and appliances above ground and into the high truck bed, and then do the same to get the things out of the truck. I am so glad nobody got hurt, but I think if this company is moved by Faith... Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. During the move, my mattress was handled without proper protection and was dragged, leaving it torn and heavily soiled--damage that was not present beforehand. I reached out to address the issue, but instead of taking accountability or working toward a resolution, I was essentially told to "file a claim." Because of that, I've had to escalate the situation through my bank. Between the delays, lack of communication, and damage to my property, this was a very disappointing experience. The day started off friendly, but it became apparent that the trucks they brought were too small, not enough men for the job, and as the staff got tired things went sideways. They damaged an expensive turntable, turning the crate on its side, a leather bedroom set was torn, fragile boxes of glass had heavy books thrown on top. In the end, they shoved everything in the garage because they were exhausted and started just throwing things into the house willy nilly like placing boxes of shoes in the kitchen. The job pretty much cost 75% over the orig quote. They sent in an extra guy at the end, but frankly it was the worst move I've ever had. The recent comment by Max regarding not knowing about the issues is a lie. I heard my mover on the phone with you making sure you got your money for this terrible move.
