scheduled face painter and balloon artist for my son's first birthday. both scheduled from 3-430. wanted both there at same time so kids could be in line for face painting and some could be getting balloons. I had Star Wars characters scheduled from 430-6 and wanted all attention to be on the characters. So the plan was to have the face painter and balloon artist gone by then. The face painter called me about 40 mins before 3 and said she would be about 15 mins late. Okay, no big deal, I appreciated the heads up. When she arrived I thought maybe the balloon artist would be with her because the balloon artist hadn't showed up and I hadn't heard from her and it was already about 315. The face painter told me she would call the balloon artist and find out what was going on. About 10 mins later the face painter told me that the balloon artist got the time wrong and thought she was supposed to be there at 4 instead of 3. At this point I'm a little frustrated because I know the balloon artist time is now going to cut into the Star Wars characters time, but I'm informed by the face painter that the balloon artist lives not too far and can be there by 4 if not a little sooner. Fast forward to 445 and A balloon artist finally shows up. I'm told by the face painter that this is not the original balloon artist and that she's not sure what's going on, she has tried calling Cynnamon and that she can't get a hold of her that her phone is going straight to voicemail. Then come to Find out the balloon artist only speaks Spanish and so the kids can't even communicate with the balloon artist to tell them what they want. My wife, who speaks Spanish, had to translate to the balloon artist for some of the kids and I'm not sure who else helped but at this point, I'm furious. So I text cynnamon and tell her that I don't feel like I should pay for this balloon artist because he's an hour and 45 mins late, he's cut into my Star Wars characters time which I paid a lot of money for, he can't even communicate with the kids, and to top it off his balloon artistry wasn't that good. I get no response from cynnamon. So fast forward to the time when the balloon artist is done and my wife tells me he's asking to get paid, and I was dead set on not paying him, but my wife felt bad for the guy because he wasn't originally supposed to be there and got thrown into all this, so I ended up paying the guy. I finally hear back from cynnamon about an hour and a half after the party is over in a text which is pasted below. You can read it for yourself. She proceeds to tell me that she can give me $50 off but I should still pay at least $100. Well I already paid the full 150 by that time. So after all that she can only offer $50 refund. What she should do is pay the guy from the $200 deposit that I had already paid if she was concerned about him getting paid and wasting his gas and time and refunded me. Also there was no communication with me whatsoever, in her text she says a story about some mixup and the original balloon artists husband saving the day. I should have been contacted by someone and asked if I still wanted a balloon artist to show up almost 2 hours late. I would have just told them not to worry about it at that point. And then cynnamon proceeds to try to tell me that my party was saved because someone still showed up and that the flow was good because kids could get in line for the balloon artist and the characters. Don't try to gaslight me and tell me how you think this all worked out because of whatever mishaps happened. The flow didn't go how I wanted. I wanted the kids full attention on the Star Wars characters, not split between them and the balloon artist. Cynnamon should learn how to make things right when things go bad. Once again if I was contacted at all, I would have said just save the time of the balloon artist and refund my money for him. The only bright side is Senaida the face painter was amazing. It's too bad, I wouldn't book this company again. If you do book a face painter ask for Senaida. But just be aware the customer service of cynnamon is horrible and communication the day of the party is none existent. read more

Veronica came out and was so quick and amazing at painting a full face for many kids at my son's 5th birthday party. I reached out to the company about two weeks before the party not expecting them to have availability due to being so close to Halloween, but they exceeded my expectations and made my son's birthday party memorable. Definitely recommend! They were very professional, reasonably priced for face painting and we absolutely loved Veronica, she is so talented and amazing with kids. read more

This was not stress free experience unfortunately. First issue was when the artist called me because she thought she mistakenly marked my deposit as paid and called me to confirm what I paid. Next issue, my artist was confirmed but then around 5pm the night before the party I received a call the confirmation was a mistake and my artist called in sick. Luckily they were able to find me an artist but they rescheduled me for 30min later than what I had originally booked. Third issue , my artist was still late ! She started painting the kids 35 mins after her scheduled time and it was 1 hour after my originally booked time. The schedule was completely messed up, very unorganized. On a positive note , when the artist did start she was quick and made beautiful face paints and awesome balloons. read more

Booked a balloon artist for 5pm and got a face painter at 7pm. Had the booking initially as a face painter even though I had asked for a balloon artist from the start--this may have led to some of the confusion. Cynammon was the one to show up to try to make things right, when the original artist did not work out, so I give her credit for that. And, yes, she is very good at what she does. Ultimately, though, it would have been nice to not have had to deal w/ that sort of mix up and answering or waiting for the next call or text to come back while hosting. I guess you could say it was memorable. Also: -confirmed receipt of deposit and then few days later asked for it -when I tried to give my gate code to save a call/text later, said they had it already and then showed up and did not have it afterall read more

The one thing I was displeased with was that 1 guest arrived 5 minutes after the artist had finished the face painting session and had moved on to the ballon session. Don't bother contacting this company unless you want your party ruined. I booked for a clown for my niece's special birthday party. I even took the day off from work to make sure everything turned out fine with clown and she would get paid for her service. Just like everyone else I paid the deposit and got the confirmation a day before the event. Just like the other one star review my entertainer didn't bother to show up. I didn't even get a phone call. The sad part is that Cynnamon claimed on the other one star review that they should of contacted her so that she could of solved the issue. Well that's exactly what I tried to do, but apparently her phone seemed off or it was just ignored. I called plenty of times to see if I would get someone to answer. I did have someone answer that was "willing" to help me, but never heard from her again after she tried contacting Cynnamon. Apparently her own workers can't even get a hold of her. No point of booking with this lady if she doesn't have the time to communicate with clients. I understand your busy with parties, but if your handling all these entertainers then some type of communication needs to be given to those that trusted you for their event and partially paid for. I am amazed that this business could care less if the entertainer shows up or not. What it seems like they take the easy way out and refund you back. If this was a professional business then someone would actually answer the phone and would have handled the problem by sending someone else. They don't see the value that was lost for a birthday party and my time that I took off from work. If your still planning to book with this company make sure they don't give you "Bella". Also, since the entertainers are not 100% reliable don't ask for a deposit. At this point I don't expect anything free since I wouldn't want anything from your company nor do I want an explanation because it would just be lies to cover up for your entertainer. To say my daughter loved the photo booth we got for her 9th birthday party is an understatement. We had a great experience during the 2 hours we had the photo booth. Cynnamon's parents were the ones that handled everything and they were great, they made sure everyone enjoyed taking their pictures. I loved how you got to chose if you wanted your pictures to be in color or black and white. The best part was that they sent me a CD with all the pictures that were taken. Around 3:30, his mom was visibly upset because she was stressing out that the face painter/balloon twister hadn't shown up that was scheduled (confirmed and paid with deposit) to be there by 2:30pm. We called several times to see if you were just lost, running late or maybe even forgot.... but no response. We left at 4:30, and you never showed up. If I'm mistaken, I'd be glad to edit this review. Otherwise, I think it's reasonable that a refund of the deposit and an apology is in order. read more

This was our first family reunion and the first time i hired a face painter. I was very satisfied with Tess. She did a great job on the kids and some adults too. I hired her for 2 hours which was just the right amount of time. She able to fit everyone in and at the same time got along so well with the kids. I called Cynnamon/Memorable Events SUPER last minute on a Friday evening (after 4 pm) for my brother's wedding reception which was happening on the following day. With the less than 24 hours notice, she had a face painter and a balloon artist scheduled for our event. They were such a huge hit!!!! The kids loved the face painting and the balloons, and we were glad to have them at the event. I must also add that they artists were VERY good at what they do (no bad face painting or weird balloon shapes here)!!!
