Quick, comprehensive, straightforward and efficient! I had a great experience. It was easy to book an appointment. I came in few minutes early to finish the paperwork. Patricia at the front desk was warm and welcoming. Soon after paperwork, my dentist/hygienist Misty took me in for X-rays and then started cleaning. She was diligent, gentle and thorough. Dr.Rassam came in after cleaning, checked my teeth and X-rays and gave his diagnosis. What I loved about my visit was that there was not pushing to do deep cleaning or extra deep cleaning or any other unnecessary treatments for that matter. Thank you Misty for excellent work. After my former dentist retired, I made an appointment with Memorial City Smiles. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. I felt as if I was being upsold by Dr. Moravej. I did not go back and found a new dentist, however Memorial City Smiles is charging $25 to transfer my x-rays. Very displeased. Edit: Changed my review from one star to two stars because I received a very terse phone call a couple weeks later and my x-rays were transferred, but only because my insurance company got involved. I have been coming to Memorial City Smiles for about 4 years now, and I love it. They have the sweetest staff, super professional, very caring. I believe they really care not only about my dental health, but also about me as a person. The quality of work is exceptional. The 40min drive for us is worth it, we usually schedule ourselves for Saturdays and grab brunch at city centre. The office is very cozy, and the whole staff is very friendly and caring ... Dr. Moravej and his team are truly one in a million. Everyone is so welcoming. Not only that, but they're all very verbal about what they are going as they do it. For someone with a lot of anxiety with dental work, this really makes me feel more comfortable and at ease. Dr. Moravej, himself, is a very kind and gentle man. Dr. Moravej & Dr. Pickett explanained on how my situation with my tooth extraction was going to happen , was very fluent and understandable. If I had a question, he was very kind to answer. We reviewed my x rays and it was scary to look at, but all went well when we talked about it. Jeanne in the front was VERY friendly from the first phone call I made, she was the reason what persuade me to come. Nahomi was very clear with the prices and explained them very well and she will help you with payment planning. Outcome, the dental facility is very nice, EVERYONE is friendly and they even offer Kurig coffee or tea of your choice ! read more

Dr. Moravej did a crown for me on a broken onlay that I had done 8 years ago. I was super nervous about getting more dental work, but the experience was amazing. The doctor and his assistants were so attentive and gentle and it was hands down the best experience I have had in the dental chair. My new crown is comfortable and pretty and I can honestly say that Dr. M is the most capable and talented dentist I've ever been to. I would highly recommend him! read more

I am so glad I have found a dentist that I can trust and does an excellent job! I love everything about this office. I love the cleanliness, the staff and the professionalism and expertise of Dr Moravej. He is a caring Doctor by all means with a friendly personality. I was very happy with the care I received in his office. Dr Moravej and his team did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and pain free. I was scheduled to put a crown on my new implant. I could not believe how quick and how smooth it went. Dr Moravej is very thourough and spends time to explain things. I have had so many crowns done in other places but this one so far has been the best. No pain, suffering and torture like in other places. Horrible experience. I've never experienced a root canal so painful in my life. I kept complaining of the pain I was feeling and they just ignored me and proceeded to keep on working. The office lady tried over charging us several times and she's rude. There were $300-500 discrepancies every time I went in for work. The first crown didn't fit after being there for OVER two hours! They had to have a new crown made and it still doesn't fit properly. Run from this dentist! ETA to add that Pardis who gave this dentist a 5 star is a FAMILY MEMBER!!! Just looked her up on facebook. I deeply regret going to this dentist because I feel that I was given crowns that were not absolutely necessary. I know deep in my heart that this was the case. Dr. Morajev wanted to give me even more crowns, and it has been nearly 9 years and I still have not needed them. I recommend proceeding with caution and getting a second opinion if needed. I have never had so much pain from getting a filling. This dentist showed no concern for my comfort. He kept scraping the side of my cheek with his instruments until it was raw and full of cuts. He had his assistant pry open my mouth with both hands to force me to open wider than my mouth will open naturally. A day later, my jaw is sore, and the inside of my cheek is full of lacerations. I know that a little discomfort at the dentist is to be expected, but this was inexcusable. I have never had such a painful experience with any other dentist. Another concern was his lack of hygiene. It's time to find us a new dentist!! This group has yet to get a crown seated CORRECTLY and has taken numerous painful visits to not even get it right! Always trying to sell us on teeth straightening, whitening and also deep cleaning. Boy do they push push push push puish deep cleaning when it is NOT necessary. NOT AT ALL happy with this group any more and sadly have been using them since 2004 when Dr. Hansen was there. This office pushes treatments that are not necessary. He fails to provide treatment in line with the benefit schedules of insurance plans and refuses to make adjustments to the costs though they are clearly in conflict with the appropriate fees. I was provided a fee of almost $1000 to perform a procedure that my insurance company said should be less than $500. While the office is clean, the staff are argumentative and even confrontational. I've never left a dentist before in my life, but I just did this one. I was with Dr. Hansen for years before Dr. Moravej took over this office. Dr. Hansen was wonderful, Dr. Moravej's style of doing business is not of this world - maybe somewhere else would accept this approach. I will not be back. read more

I have mixed feelings about this dental office. I have to say the staff are good... especially the hygienist, Taylor and I would have probably continued going to this dentist had it not been for the office manager. The office manager lady is a total jerk! She tried twice to charge me for my cleanings that are covered through my insurance. That was final straw. Also, she was very confrontational about my treatment plan. The dentist seemed to try to add work that does not need to be done. I changed dentist and in a month my treatment plan went from $5000 to only $1500! According to Dr. Moravej my teeth were going to fall out if I didn't get all this expensive work done. The new dentist did a complete evaluation and according to her, I only need to replace 2 crowns. For that reason and the extremely rude and offensive office manager, I wont be going back! Also, I was charged for things that I shouldn't have been but overlooked it as I liked Taylor and needed a dentist. Glad I finally moved on! I do feel this office is a SCAM and the do try to RIP OFF their patients. read more

We felt like they pressured you into trying to get more services then needed ( i had went to 3 other dentist for price comparison due to dental insurance and FSA) and they were never upfront with the total cost of treatment. My husband need extensive work done and we asked for a total treatment plan cost and we were to break the treatment plan over a couple months and they would never give a total cost. They only wanted to give me a price for the office visit I showed up for each time. Plus I asked for a copy of two receipts and wouldn't provide them so I can validate the charges to my FSA account due to a balance of $2.13 which I was going to pay when they released the hold on my card due to the receipts, well now I have to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed which is a hassle. What made matters worse is had to call for a follow up because the first person I spoke to didn't state the $2.13 needed to be paid first and I had been waiting for days to get the copies. The only positive thing I have to say about this place is the Dr. Moravej is a very respectful man. However, my experience as a whole was really bad. Its all about the money with these guys. They will charge you for unnecessary things. I went there 4-5 times to get a deep cleaning procedure and two crowns done and here is what I have to say: 1. Of the 4-5 sessions that I went there, I ended up going to the ER twice for an allergic reaction that I was having to something that they were using. Each time I went back and told the doctor, but he didn't seem to care. 2. The hygienist told me I would need to get some sort of antibiotics after the deep cleaning procedure and gave me two options: get the medication from them for $200 but the labor for applying it would be free, or get the medication through my health insurance but pay $200 just for applying it. And this fee came in addition to what they were charging for the cleaning! Either way it was all about the money!! 3. The two crowns I've had put in are so far apart from the adjacent teeth that I constantly get food stuck in my gum. I told the Doctor about it, he told me he did it deliberately because I needed to get a crown for the adjacent teeth too; teeth that have been filled but not root canaled. He also told me that I would need to have crowns for 6 teeth in total! Again, none of the teeth had been causing me any trouble, he just didn't like the filling that was used. 4. I also had a tough time with my insurance because they didn't believe that the crowns and some of the procedures that they had charged were necessary. I still ended up paying so much. Save your teeth, time, and money and go somewhere else! read more

Do not go to this place!! There is something very wrong and shady about this practice. Their billing and price practicing will be reported to not only my insurance company but to the BBB , Attorney Generals office, ADA, and any other place that can be thought of. Not mentioning how I was personally treated as well as my husband. I hope more people wise up and take the time to do some scrutiny of their bills and comparison pricing and speaking to other dentists. A sense of right and wrong seem to be missing entirely .
