I've had about enough of this place. Below is my 1 year experience with this clinic. You should know this is a senior citizen doctor office. No big deal but that's what it is. I had my PCP here and not once in the year I've been here have I been able to see him. I've only been able to see nurse practitioners and MCA's. In fact, there are 7 MD's here and the wait time to see ANY one of them can be one month to several months. Yes, one to several months to see an MD. That leaves the nurse practitioners and MCA's which, if it comes to getting any controlled prescriptions, forget it. They can't or wont prescribe it and will try an alternative action or scripts. So this is more of a place for senior citizens on routine care who can space out appointments. If you're 65+ and can space out appointments, you may consider this place. Nurse Practitioners and MCA's catch any in b/w needs. If you are like me and need a Doctor once in awhile, do not bother with this place. read more

I'm not normally the one to write a negative review - but this place has become a joke. After not coming in for over a year, they classified me as a "new patient" and wanted me to pay a $150 service fee to come in... Just because I haven't been sick in over a year - it doesn't give you the option to scam me out of my money. The care, customer service and policies of this place don't make it very welcoming, and I would tell you to go somewhere else. read more

Well let's see here's a litany of things they have messed up: my meds and what date they can be filled, not telling me when they moved, not putting my dob on the prescription - therefore Cvs wouldn't fill it and I went on a wild goose chase around houston. read more

NEVER GO HERE! Absolutely NO customer service. I went in due to terrible lower back pain and was hustled through an assembly line of people as soon as a arrived. I saw a nurse practitioner who couldn't be bothered to spend more than 3 minutes with me and then was told to get two different ultrasounds and an x-ray when I left. This was LAST TUESDAY. I have left two voice mails asking about the results of the ultrasounds and no one has returned my calls! I did however get a voice mail on Saturday morning asking when I wanted to reschedule my x-ray. I'd love to know the results of the other two tests first. Gosh! Save yourselves the time and money and go somewhere that cares. read more

Roger Shultz MD has been our doctor for yrs He was able to correctly diagnose my GI issue when my med center GI MD mised it ( lactose issues) He is a thoughtful deliberate , intellectual diagnostitian , who carefully listens and puts pieces together from looking at the whole chart. A doc who listens, asks in depth questions, and takes the times to go back in a long chart, is a rarity in this era. His PA , Daisy , is a razor sharp thinker and they make a dynamic duo. They have great hours and he is worth the wait to see read more

I went to the West Houston MRI that is located here for an ultrasound. I got here a bit early, but I was seen on time. There is plenty of parking around the outside. There were spots marked for specific clinics located inside the building as well as for the building itself so that shouldn't be a problem. My doctor suggested I go here because he said it would be cheaper. They claim they were giving me a discounted price, but the price they showed without a discount was much higher than I've seen quoted elsewhere. The ultrasound went fine. Everyone seemed friendly enough, but the waiting room was kind of nasty for an early morning appointment. Dried milk or ice cream pasted on the furniture, candy stuck to the floor. Luckily the actual procedure room didn't look this gross or I would have left. And while they do have a coffee machine, they didn't have anything in most of the bins. read more

Awful patient care, questionable medical practices and an infinite loop voicemail that is a black hole that you will never get a return call back from. Our family have been patients there for over 30 years, but no more. It's very sad, hurtful, disappointing and most of all scary when you can't trust your own doctors anymore. The one star I give is for those healthcare providers that are there and do still care about the patients and show it, which unfortunately are very few and far between at this practice. Went here for an MRI and I have to say I will never use this place again. First off, they charged me 9 times more than what I should have paid so now I have to wait for them to refund me. The place seems dirty and run down. Also, the tech sucked at administering the contrast and I knew she would because she wasn't confident at all in her job. On top of all of that the scans suck! I am no expert but I had a ton of tests before this one and these were the WORST images....so dark and blurry. *Update - I was right. The images were terrible and MD Anderson couldn't even use them so had to redo them. Please do not go here. read more

Outstanding medical practice. I love Dr. Pohil and his associates (Debra Hodges and Daisy Tran). I have sent my entire family to see him. My husband and I have been patients for years. Sadly Dr. Pohil is out of network for us but we still see him. It is worth the money (plus they work with you). We just make sure all imaging, labs, and referrals are in network. His nurse Ashley and MA Michelle are also great. read more

I went in for an MRI and it took awhile but I'm patient so it didn't bother me much. For my wait, they gave me a gift card. They were very nice to me. I want to give them a better review but after my doctor reviewed my MRI scan, he determined that they were hard to read because of the scanning job. I had to pay a lot of money for some unreadable MRI scans.... I can honestly say, I will not be back. read more

Terrible customer service, would not even entertain answering my question because I have no insurance and have not seen a doctor there before. The lady hung up mid sentence, I live less that a mile from.here and will.never give them my business!! I will tell the world about the level of "suck" this place has. You can't make an online appointment, complete run around. Then when you do call you are told they also can't make an appointment. So what good are they? Their open on Saturdays but they cannot make appointments. My last appointment while in the exam room the doctors nurse cane in and started to talk about another patient by name violating their privacy rights. It's all a sign and I'm now listening. I won't be back. No service, patient care, lack of adherence to privacy laws. Oh and when I called today (Sat) and told they couldn't make any week day appointments they wanted to hang up immediately. Why answer the phone if you could care less about your patients? Gosh just shut the place down there is less than acceptable practices going on there. read more

I have always had good service and nice doctors and people have been helpful in billing if there was a problem. No complaints from me.

For the past 40 years I've had a very good ongoing relationship and health care with Memorial Clinical Associates, doctors Willard Spankus, Bernard G. Vine and especially with doctor A.J. Haddock, now retired, but this is the first ever negative encounter I've gotten from one of their present staff nurses and one of their primary care doctors namely Roger W. Schultz. In trying to get a referral from Dr. Schultz to see a dermatologist I was questioning why it was taking so long and was getting varied answers from MCA offices and Texan Plus Insurance, so at last resort I spoke to Dr. Schultz. In the process I spoke to a nurse of the doctors who was totally snipey, rude and belligerent and was hung up on. Next I talked with Dr. Schultz himself and he was very condescending, arrogant and with an attitude towards me he had acquired after talking with his rude nurse. Needless to say, I was taken aback by his unprofessional attitude towards me, his client, and also by his staff nurse and will find it very difficult to seek his care in the future. Poor dermatology service that was ineffective. Doctors and nurse pa's rotate through this firm often. Watch out on billing if you go! They may bill out some service as cosmetic to get more $$ from a 5 minute visit than the 100s the insurance pays without warning you ahead of time. Even though this appears to be both mail and insurance fraud. Recommend avoiding since these folks don't tell you what they plan to bill or do beyond insurance coverage. Outrageous that liquid nitrogen cryotherapy is inexpensive yet grossly misused and over billed by such practitioners. read more

I have gone to Memorial Clinical Assoc for more than 20 years- my Doctor passed away and I've continued going. I have to say I'm very unhappy with this team. I was diagnosed with bronchitis just last week, and told to call back in 2 days if I wasn't better, well I called the day after and the 2nd day after. Now it's been 7 days since I called and still have NOT gotten a call back. I also called this morning to let Management know and she too has not called me back. I will not be returning. I have nothing but good things to say about Memorial Clinical Associates. I can always get in to see the Nurse Practitioners, both Deb Hodge and Daisy Tran are the best. They are always willing to go the extra mile. I have a long and complicated health history. So to find medication that will treat what I am experiencing and not have side effects or interactions with my other medications takes a lot knowledge and experience. I recommend this organization all the time. Most try to keep everything in house but I don't see that happening. read more

You will wait at least 45 minutes to be seen by a nurse practitioner. You will wait a month or more for an appointment with a physician. Since Dr. Jefferies died, I only go here for colds. Still looking for a good doctor, but I have one elsewhere who will do in the meanwhile. read more

Called Memorial Clinical Associates to make a first time appointment regarding a possible allergic reaction I was having and was told the first available appointment was May 23, 2018. When one is having a possible allergic reaction, one does not need to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. I explained the situation to the person who was making the appointment and all I received was an "I'm sorry"--no concern at all. Well, I am truly am sorry for them, but a doctor's office that takes this little concern is not one that I'm interested in dealing with. What is happening with the medical industry today -- do they really NOT care. read more

Best Doctors, best care. MCA takes care of of me, all my family and most of my friends.

I'm shocked at the complaints here on this site. If you read into them its easy to see people with issues. I've been going here for long past 10 years. The Doctors here are exceptional. You'll always get in to see one of them at a moments notice. I'm 60. Two months ago my right ankle swelled up out of no where, this never happened before, I was driving my car and called MCA, I was told to come right in. Immediately Dr. Shammas examined me, he my blood taken and sent me to the infusion for lasix, the next day he ordered had a doppler of my legs. It was found that I had both legs full of blood clots? My blood test showed heart failure was eminent if left untreated. I was immediately put on blood thinners and refereed to a Hematologist to be treated. I cannot be more appreciative of these folks, the staff of nurses and receptionists are just delightful. I recommend MCA to anyone looking for first class medical attention. read more

My experience with Bach-Cuc (Daisy) Tran was that she was unqualified for the services I sought, even though I was told by Memorial Clinical Associates that she could treat my condition. Instead, she advised me to undergo a procedure that was not relevant to my ailment, she referred me to a Specialist who, when I called, questioned her judgment because he doesn't even offer that type of care, and most importantly, she irresponsibly prescribed a serious medication that was not relevant to my condition. Even when I voiced my dissatisfaction with the service upon payment for services, the representative completely ignored my complaint and never offered for me to speak to someone else to resolve it. Overall, this was an extremely concerning experience where quality of care was beyond poor and trust in both MCA and Ms. Tran are lost. Furthermore, based on the lack of medical competence shown, it is recommended that Daisy Tran undergo further development and supervision to prevent further negligence in care. read more

I have been going here for over 5 years now off and on -out of convenience and because of the few good doctors I see. I try not to let the front desk people and the bad experience with one doctor cloud my judgement of the entire practice. But having had to go to the accounts department to explain a mistake on my account that their staff made and delaying my visit with the doctors. Being told that they would not complete my Short term disability paperwork because basically ( to much paperwork) and then being greeted by a rude appointment staff when I tried to make an appointment (person Courtney). It's time to move on. This practice forgot they serve real people and really focuses on the business end. To be fair I understand that all need to be paid and faculty needs money to run. However, the experience at MCA is like going to buy a car at the dealership. I will only use them if I need a quick appointment NOT for any chronic illness care. read more

MCA's office called two weeks before my regular quarterly appointment with Dr. Hughart to say Dr. Hughart was no longer available that week and I needed to reschedule. The next available date they could provide for Dr. Hughart was 8 weeks away. I said that was ridiculous and that I needed my medications adjusted and the assistance said that was the best they could do. I then called Dr. Hughart's nurse twice leaving messages both times to urgently call me back. After two weeks I have still never had a return call from the nurse or anyone at MCA. I have tried to accommodate their cold clinical approach to patient care but have given up and will now go elsewhere. MCA is worse than just walking into a local urgent care clinic. read more
