During my stay on the 2500 floor, the staff was extremely friendly and empathetic. The quality of care was wonderful. This hospital really knows how to treat patients. It's obvious they train their staff to see patients as a person, and not just a disease, condition, or work. Administrators at other hospitals should study Memorial Hospital's training and operating procedures then model after them!

I was told to give a urine sample and bc I could barely stand I had to have help, ending in me peeing on my partners hand while trying to get it in the cup. Later after I read the results I saw this was supposed to be a clean catch sample and I was not made aware of this nor given the proper towelettes or instructions on how to do a clean catch. Not one nurse or "doctor" (they want us to accept a PA as a same as a doctor and they are NOT) washed their hands or used sanitizer the entire time we were there. I told every single person there not to stick me with any needle in a certain place on my arm bc I already know it won't work, I've had lupus along several other issues since 2008 and have had blood taken, hospitalized, had to have transfusions so many times I couldn't fathom a number to guess, AND THEY STUCK THE NEEDLE in me anyway and of course, it didn't work. I feel like sticking needles in adults when they tell you not to is CRIMINAL. Even though that place is most convenient for me since I have labs taken, tests done so frequently, I will never be back. I also want to add on how two weeks ago my husband put a dry wall screw through his finger and none of staff even wore gloves or put anything down to protect blood from getting everywhere, they went to the janitors closet and got a drill to remove it and did not sanitize the drill first. This place is a malpractice suit waiting to happen. Unless you'll die within minutes without some medical intervention, go elsewhere. And lastly, I've never seen so many rude and hateful people working in one spot.
