My husband is also a patient and he agrees that this clinic is very good and cares about patient health outcomes.

I followed every instruction they sent, completed pre-check-in earlier in the day, arrived early, scanned my check-in barcode, and checked in at the desk. While sitting in the waiting room, I received a text at 4:44 PM, one minute before my appointment, saying my appointment had been cancelled. When I went back to the desk, I was told they had been trying to verify my insurance for about 20 minutes, yet no one told me there was an issue while I was sitting right there. My insurance has not changed in over a year. I had taken time off work to attend this appointment and followed every step they required, only to have it cancelled without warning while I was already in the building. When I asked to speak to the doctor, I was told the doctor had already left just minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of time. All I did was show up on time, with my insurance card, identification and my debit card for a co-pay.

The lack of communication and support made me feel completely unheard and unsafe at a time when I was already overwhelmed. Research has shown that African American women are often not listened to in healthcare settings, and unfortunately, that was my experience here. I had to push and advocate for myself just to get the basics, which only added to my stress. I expressed my concerns with the fact that people's time is not being considered while still calling in prescriptions when you were never even seen. It is ridiculous to be on a schedule and have to wait more than a hour to be seen. Regardless of the reason, you are not alone even given proper communication informing you of a possible wait, communication is key. I work and do billing for a living so I know the ins and outs of front and back office. This provider is inconsiderate of people's time. This is the second time, but definitely the last. Do not recommend.
