This was the first time that my son has been to a splash pad, so I didn't know what to expect. I liked that the splash pad wasn't overwhelming with water, and it was young-kid friendly. Definitely wear water shoes or sandals as the ground is dirty (like any other outdoor place). Parking is limited. I couldn't find the park parking lot so I parked in the library which was a small lot. Not sure if it's just street parking otherwise. I like that there's lots of shade over the playground. On a hot summer day, the shaded area was perfect! The playground is also kid-friendly, ages 4-9 I think. It was a bit challenging for my 3 year old, but he managed. It's named after the Goldbergs, who sold their two vacant lots to the city instead of developers and the park was built by the community through fund raising and a grant. This park was made with local materials and volunteers planted the trees and native flora. It is a quiet, peaceful place to go to rest and reflect. You can tell it's the pride of the community by how well maintained and clean it is. Plastic bags for dog nuisances are provided next to a large trash can so there is no excuse for littering. A super small but safe park, where you can keep your kids in eyesight at all times, dogs must be kept on leash.

I've run through their sprinklers at night just for the hell of it. My mom grew up in front of this park with her 7 siblings and still I come here to walk my dogs, bring my younger cousins, & get some exercise in. This park's look has changed and now has a pergola, fancier (& probably safer) playground and even offers doggie bags to pick up after your fur baby.
