Asked for new patient line but immediately they sent me to the doctor office I am supposedly set up with. The nurse or receptionist said there was a note to be sent up to see IF THE DOCTOR WOULD ACCEPT ME (why you advertise accepting NEW PATIENTS if you ain't and saying you are and then the doctor decides she or he don't wanna take you is DISCRIMINATING and should be reported). So HERE I AM NOW ON HOLD 12 minutes. SPFLD CLINIC ON WABASH BE DOING DONE SOME SHADY BUSINESS WITH THEIR PATIENTS. I did try and go see a customer representative bout it but there was no office to go to just a sign lol.

I didn't know until I talked to him that off-brand med and Aspirin are the same thing. After figuring all these out by myself, called Spfld Clinic on Wabash to replace my med with Aspirin. I am not a doctor or nurse. But is this my job to decide what meds I should use?

I am 75 years old and not looking for any mind altering experience, but I do qualify as I have RA, and a number of other painful nerve and spinal problems. Pain medication in pill form make me sick to my stomach and I desperately need an alternative. Any rule has exceptions ( Doctors are told not to sign forms qualifying patients conditions for these products) but so far I haven't made the grade. My requests have brought a resounding "NO"! Please consider patients on a more case to case basis. The need is stronger than SC's resolve to keep it out of my reach. Janet A Edwards

The check-in process was excellent--I was registered and placed in an exam room before I could even finish my paperwork. I first explained my symptoms, injuries, and what caused them to the physician assistant. A few minutes later, Dr. Campbell entered and asked me to repeat everything I had just explained. After listening to my account, I was stunned when Dr. Campbell told me she would not document how or where my injuries occurred in my medical record. I repeated her statement back to make sure I understood correctly, genuinely surprised by what I was hearing. When I asked if she considered my explanation to be hearsay, she answered, "Yes." I was taken aback. Before leaving, I asked one final question: "Do you think I'm lying to you?" She did not respond, which only added to my disbelief. For context, I had recently been arrested following a minor physical altercation, and I believe my injuries occurred while I was in the custody of Springfield law enforcement and the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office. Regardless of the circumstances, I expected my physician to accurately document the history I provided, even if it was clearly identified as my reported account. Instead, I left shocked that such a critical part of my medical history was dismissed outright rather than recorded. While the staff was prompt and courteous at first, my interaction with Dr. Campbell left me with the firm belief that Springfield Clinic Urgent Care medical professionals do not care about disabled veterans. They also banned me from ever returning because I asked to speak to someone about Dr Campbell's overt disrespect while saying I've never experienced such disrespect like that as a military veteran.

Molly, with her wealth of knowledge in fittness customizes workouts, so you are challenged, but are not injured. She also wrote, at home, work out programs for me which are great for inbetween training sessions. Molly has a nutriention program available as well. I got a sample of it in her women's retreat last weekend. I went into the retreat fighting winter blues, and left feeling refreshed. I'd recommend it if she has another one. Molly is very knowledgeable and encouraging. She's a trainer that has become a friend.

There are several trainers here, and so far I've worked with Tim, Molly, and Caroline. They each have different training styles, but they are all excellent, kind, and will push you to do your best. It's a bit intimidating to come in here at first as someone who is incredibly out of shape, because the place feels exceptionally hardcore when you walk in. Most of the people there are already in incredible shape, the equipment looks intense and a bit scary, and the music is loud and tough. However, after just a few minutes in here you'll find all of the members are very welcoming. Everyone had to start somewhere, and the members seem legitimately glad you're there. They have "on ramp" classes for the inexperienced in order to teach you all of the moves and the proper form for everything so you don't get hurt. Although I haven't been coming here long, there is a great sense of community and a great resource for getting into prime shape. I look forward to many more workouts here!
