Inside, the store is spread across many rooms of a cute little house and it's obvious the staff do their best to organize / give a curated vibe. Since this is an organization that supports animals, there are always lot of adorable pet themed items ( coffee mugs, t shirts, blankets , etc ) and lots of second hand pet items ( beds, toys etc.) Prices in general are fair, with some of the dish sets being a bit higher, but this seems to be common across all charity shops I visit. Overall, a great place with friendly staff, decent prices and a cause that is very close to my heart.

But as you walk in, you'll see it's the same crazy disarray inside as well. The owner was super friendly and nice to talk to. Bridget The Cat was just as friendly. They both really made the store charming and fun to check out. My friend found a couple of things and a vintage book on golfing for her husband. I bought a scary looking painting/sculpture for my sister. I was actually afraid of that thing so we put it in the trunk of the car. I know she will LOVE it!! If you are ever in Springfield, you should definitely check it out.

I was particularly entrigued by the appliances, since there were some older washing machines made with the older energy standards allowing more water use. Appliances seem to turn over fast, since the guy selling them had ones that were purchased and on the way out. The furniture section was great. A lot of it was older or high end enough to be solid wood and plywood. There was some particle board, but not much. Furniture was reasonably priced, and I would say comparable to fair or even good deals that you can get on Craigslist, but this is a store so you could just go in with a measuring tape and check everything out all at once instead of texting and scurrying around like Craigslist furniture. Furniture was mixed, and ranged from plain old solid items in good condition to a few pieces which would fit in in an upscale antique mall. The clothes and home goods part was sorted and clean. Most things were flat priced, like all the pants were $4, so very affordable and easy to shop. I had a drink with me and I showed it to them and asked to take it in the store while I shopped, and they said that was fine, and that was a nice bonus for the shopping experience (it had a lid and stuff, so obviously ask permission for you). Definitely worth checking out if you like thrift stores. This is a real gem, since it's sorted, cleaner, and with a better selection than the national chains like Goodwill and places like that.

However I made my way back to the back of the back of the store and I was like this is more my speed. We were greeted by a friendly lady named Eleanor and we explained what we were looking for and she helped us dig and look until we found what all we needed. The prices were fair and we got everything and more than we needed. Should I ever be in the area again, I would definitely stop in and look at what they have. Also, by buying from them you are helping others which is a huge WIN, WIN!
