The place was a bit busy with only one person manning the desk and answering the phone, there were three others waiting to drop off /pick up their tapes, but it went fast. I have 4 records (78's circa 1961) and 5 VHS tapes (circa '95). They are recordings of my mom who was a mildly successful jazz singer. I thought these items were lost as they were in a storage unit in New Orleans, where we're from, when Katrina hit. In a strange and lovely chain of events, I got them back recently. They are, of course, not in the best of shape but, do have salvageable data. I spoke with Steve on the phone even and conveyed that they were old and damaged. He assured me they would do as good a job as possible. I got everything back yesterday and I am shocked. They didn't even bother cleaning the records before transfer. Nor did they bother to separate the cuts. Each album side was a recording. Obviously, the sound quality was tended to and every scratch and hiss to be found was found on my recordings. The VHS tapes were no better. The sound was stretched in spots. Not a surprise but, they did nothing to try and improve it. And, all of the DVDs were returned with recordings of the entire VHS, in other words, all the blank tape at beginning and end. The work was sloppy and lazy and the results worthless. It was not cheap either. I emailed Steve my disappointment and have gotten NO response. Obviously I also got not offer at a refund; partial or full, which is what I'm due. Being a small business owner, I write reviews regularly because I know how much they can help your business grow. In all my years this is only the second bad review I've ever given. I hope it helps you choose. If you have a very simple job, I'm sure they can handle it. But as they do not actually attempt to restore old recordings I find Nostalgic Media to be a very misleading name.

I sent an 8mm film with sound that was shot in the 1950's and 1960's to CinePost. They digitized…read moreit, improved the quality of the colors, lighting, etc., and recovered the sound perfectly. This is after 4 or 5 shops told me it couldn't be done, or else said they would try it but would likely destroy the film in the process, with no guarantee of the outcome. CinePost gave me great advice and returned a digitized version to me in a couple of weeks which was better than the original. My family members are surprised that it turned out as well as it did, and are very grateful that we're able to preserve these priceless family memories. Given that the video is of an area that's now a national park, we've been asked by the community to donate a copy to the local museum. Can't thank Myron and the folks at CinePost enough. I'll be sending some other films to him shortly.

I took my 16 MM film from 1954 to Costco first. Yesvideo scanned it - it…read more was horrible. I could hardly make out the faces. So I returned the scanned material and gave it to Cinepost. The Cinepost scan was much higher quality than Costco. The colors were correct and sharp, the resolution looked good. The only thing I wish they would have done was to lighten the exposure in one part of the film that was dark due to the filming. It cost about double or so the Costco price but if you want a movie that you will actually enjoy watching it is worth it. I was worried the original film would degrade to the point where it was worthless so I wanted to get the content scanned. Cinepost also does not copy protect your scanned film - you can send it to anyone and everyone for free. I used "wetransfer.com" to send to all my family members and friends. Yesvideo makes you pay for CDs with your film on it which can get expensive if you want a lot of copies. Cinepost also contacted me to see if I was satisfied with the results; you won't get this from yesvideo.

In this day of digital photography and sophisticated consumer photo manipulation software, high-end…read morephoto labs are a scarce commodity. Colorchrome is perhaps the finest such business remaining in the Atlanta area, maybe the southeast. I believe their business is mostly commercial work but we use them for my wife's exhibition photography. Making large photographs suitable for hanging in a gallery is something Colorchrome does well. Artists tend to be perfectionists, so flaws in the prints generally are unacceptable. Colorchrome mostly produces the required flawless prints but they're not prefect - they do occasionally have imperfections in the prints. But they stand behind their work and will reprint when necessary. It's hard for me to say whether Colorchrome is reasonably priced or not. I'd say that's more a question to be answered by their commercial customers. For art prints, they ain't cheap but neither is anyone else. It's just the nature of the business. Having suitable frames made for the prints is just as expensive. Which is why artists typically need grants for their exhibitions. But that's another story ... Recommended. If you need high-quality photographs, check out Colorchrome.

I am surprised to find myself writing a review for a vendor. Colorchrome is more of a partner than…read morea vendor. Over the past 8 years, they have provided all manner of printing, mounting, CNC cutting, file prep, consultation, banners, panels, vinyl cutout lettering, transparencies, floor signs and so on. When money has been tight, they have been able to help with alternative materials and processes. When my instructions were unclear or incomplete, they politely asked the right questions and were careful to produce the right product the first time. On the rare occasion when something was not as I had hoped, they were quick to find a solution. Their turnaround times for most products are so good that I have rarely needed to ask for the optional expedited production, but when I have, the speed has been incredible and without a reduction in quality. It is rare to find a company that does so many things and does them all well. Before finding these folks, I used one company for cutout lettering, another for large format posters, and a third for fabric and photographic printing. Last year I was invited to tour their new facilities, and they are impressive. I am writing this for selfish reasons, as I want to support Colorchrome through this dark time. They have consistently supported my projects and made me look good, and I dread the thought of going back to a smattering of lesser vendors.

I really wanted something that showcased our logo prominently and figured that a sign would be fabulous. Here's a thing about me, I'm a millennial and think that I should be able to know the exact price of everything and add to my cart and go, lol. I've learned that I won't always get that, especially when it's something custom/special and you want to do it locally! So I decided not to be lazy as I really had a vision and wanted quality with a quick turnaround. So I hopped on Yelp to find a local printer and found Clash! After visiting their site, it was easy to send an email to request some assistance in figuring out what the heck I was looking for. I was lucky enough to be paired with Julia as a sales representative and she followed up on my email within the hour. I loved that! We talked through what I was looking for (a die-cut logo sign) and she helped me figure out what size would be best, which was great as I have terrible measurement perception. I let Julia know that I was hoping for a turnaround within 2 days, crossing my fingers that they would be able to accomodate and they were! The next day, my order was ready for pickup! Upon arrival to Clash, I was very, very confused lol. Idk if they had a monument sign outside that I missed but hell, I wish I would have seen it lol. I parked in the street in between where I thought the biz may be, and ended up in a one-way chat with an unhoused friend after giving him some $. I don't love small talk and prayeddd that I would find Clash sooner than later LOL. I called and was guided upstairs (I was steps away) inside of the beautiful businesses suites. Once I arrived at the door and let inside, the young woman who guided me upstairs apologized for my undesired chat outside as she saw me from her window lol. She passed on my order which was situated between two cardboard sheets, keeping it secure. The sign was absolutely perfect! We were able to perch the sign up on our balloon display and it was so perfect for the event. I'm planning on ordering another version of the same sign and working with Clash when possible going forward.

This company was so reasonable, they walked me through everything, and everything came delivered to Philadelphia looking amazing and was packed beautifully. We also had a misprint, which they were SO nice to help us with a reprint due to our lack of proofreading and were able to help us find a way to expedite them to ensure they got here in time. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this company. Cannot recommend enough.
