Went to Mernards to buy a washer today.. Found one bought it, brought it home got it inside.. I opened the lid to find the inside has mold, hairs everywhere, old dry laundry detergent!! Clearly it's used! The inside is discussing!! Called and spoke to Nicole the one in charge to be told it's my responsibility to take it back unless I want to pay them delivery charges. She should not be a person in charge.. Very unprofessional and not at all for the customer! I drove an hour away to buy a new washer it's not my responsibility to bring back a molded used hairy washer! Very disappointed and will not be buying anymore appliances through the Mernards in Chillicothe!! read more

I bought a living room set from here,they delivered it on Monday, I have never had such a bad experience with a company, they, for starters it was over 200 dollars just for delivery, they got black grease on my light tan sofa,they ripped the bottom of the sofa,they put two rips in the sofa,and said they were not taking it back that they would leave it on my side walk, I called the store to see what they could do or atleast come out and look what they done,and they scratched 3 walls, anyway the store told me they contract thier deliveries, and I would need to call the delivery company,so I did, but the manager wasn't in and he would get back to me,after two days still didn't hear anything, so I called back,still no manager there.to me Menards should be responsible because they hired the delivery company,but they are telling me it's not thier fault, I will never buy anything from that store again, they were rude to me and basically told me too bad. Manager at the store could care less about customers after they get the money. Horrible company, would never recommend anything from there. read more

Came in looking for cabinets and stuff. After getting oriented to this particular variation of the Maynard's floor plan I made my way over to kitchens. Found the pull-outs and assorted storage accessories I thought I'd want and after a little poking around I figured, correctly, that the unfinished cabinets were on the mezzanine. There was a good selection of drawer or door face cabinets from 12" up but they weren't quite what I was looking for. Went downstairs and looked through cabinet hardware for a bit and after finding all the necessary pieces decided I'd be better off finding a good set of plans and making my own custom cabinets. I like Maynard's, it's more hardware than home improvement and you need to have an idea of what you're about to get up to and how to get it done. After that it's all ducks and gravy :-) read more

Went to this location to have some keys made. They now have a do it yourself machine that takes the mold of your key and credit card. All in one shop. The store was clean. Some shelves were bare, but the associates were actively restocking. They had a good amount of cleaning supplies, although no sanitizing wipes. No toilet paper other than RV/Marine 1-ply. They did have paper towels and facial tissue. They have pet products in an abundant supply and of course anything for home projects. read more

If I could give this place a MINUS 10 I would!!! My husband and I drove 150 miles to purchase some pavers as our local Lowes and Home Depot did not have the kind we needed. While we were there we found some outdoor patio chairs we liked. Bought 4, and a few days later my husband was putting them together, 1 had a hole in the seat fabric, the other the fabric had pulled away from the top of the frame on the back of the chair. My husband called and spoke with BILL, who said he was a manager. He was the rudest, most obnoxious, condescending ASSHOLE we have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They absolutely refused to ship 2 replacement chairs, said we would have to bring them back for a refund. Not only did he take the 2 defective chairs back, he took all four of them back! My husband said BILL was a short little man, who was just as obnoxious in person as he was in the phone! Short-man syndrome, I guess! I urge everyone to go on-line and read the hundreds of bad reviews Menards has as to their so-called customer service. Sure wish we had! You can rest assured we will never, ever shop at Menards again, and will take every opportunity that presents itself to discourage others from shopping there!!!. read more

Go to Menards.com and/or their Facebook page and notice you cannot leave reviews. I had an issue with the store in Chillicothe and tried to contact the corporate office. I was ignored for days then finally I received a generic response. When I pushed the issue further they told me to contact the Chillicothe store about my issue. Never trust a company that will not let you leave a review on their page. There is a reason they don't want you to have that ability. Never dealt with a company that does not give a crap about their customer service. I know now never to buy anything else f value with this company. I caution others to do the same. read more

Great prices, but plan on lifting and moving everything yourself. The only thing they got for us were things I could have easily gotten myself. Had to pull 48 12lb blocks, 10 bags of rock, 2bags of paver base and 3 bags of lava rock. What did they pull? 1 fire ring and 3 bottles of caulk. What took so long? A caulk gun that Brit had to find in the back. Plan on spending time here. Not sure it's worth the savings. read more

I typically love our local Menards, but today the moment I walked into the store I was told I HAD TO WEAR A FACE MASK. All this time since March I have visited this store I haven't had to wear a covering but today I was told I couldn't spend my money in their store. Well that's ok. I will comply but I will not return to this store until they do not make us wear a face covering. I am a healthy person and I adhere to all other rules with the distancing, but am not going to wear a face covering. Our own GOVERNOR doesn't wear a face covering, so he's no better than I am. I am a tax payer and have retired after 33 years and will not do something I am not comfortable with. read more

I really hate giving bad reviews, and even stopped in the store tonight to give them a chance to correct their mistake prior to writing this. I ordered deck supplies in July that were suppose to be available July 24th. It was a specialty order, so I knew there might be a slight delay. The decking material was just delivered yesterday, August 16th, and the contractor opened the bundles today. What a mess. The materials are chipped, scratched, broken, and the boards do not even match. I call in to try and get this resolved, and I was asked to send photos. I sent them immediately, and was told I would receive a call. Four hours later, there was still no call. I call the store, and I am told that I need to sort through a semi load of material to see what I need, and call them to bring out the requested items. I paid my contractor to meet us at the store to order the supplies as I am not a contractor, and I have no idea what is needed to complete this project. My contractor had gone for the day, so I headed into the store to try and work out a compromise. I was told that they could pick the items up, but I would be charged a $600.00 restocking fee, or I could sort through the items to find what I needed. If I have the contractor sort through the items, I will also have to wait an additional 2 weeks to get the corrected items. I seriously doubt I would have it in that time frame. This was a $12,000.00 order that not only was late, it also arrived damaged. I am waiting on other deliveries, and have no way to get the items into the end of the house where they are needed. No one has communicated with me throughout this process. I had to call multiple times to find out where the order was, and at times was told I would receive a call back with information, and the calls never came. I will be calling corporate to resolve this issue as I do not feel I should be punished by paying extra money, or having to wait weeks to get additional supplies. I wish anyone who wishes to purchase building material with them the best of luck. I hope your experience is better than mine. If you are thinking about going to Lowes, I ordered a refrigerator from them May 30th, and still don't have it. Their review will be created shortly. Chillicothe is just going downhill. read more

I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of building supplies here ,and I liked the fact that you got a ticket up front and drove around and got loaded . That's all in the past on a lot of items ,I was told this by a guy at the order desk that they stupidly moved to the back. I wanted 8in t&g ,or car siding .i wanted 56 pieces of 14,12 & 8 ft stuff ,I also wanted 6 pieces of 4×8 plywood. I had a cart full of kitchen items all ready . so he tell me I can't get a ticket for the items ,only for the 14 ft stuff. I got to get the goofy carts and put the stuff on them and self serve and take it through the register. I thought about it and got my kitchen stuff and left which came to over $800.00. They were out the 14 ft t& g. Too. But you can get 21 pieces per cart of the t&g ,so I would have had to load at least 2 more carts to get the ply wood and t&g . then drag rose awkward things through the store . two weeks ago I did the cart thing had 2 carts what a mess trying to get one then the other to the register .I was pretty mad by time I was through. And employee told me he would help but he snuck off. I was there around 1230 on Sunday December 9 2018. Oh by the way I told the guy I had always got a ticket in the past and went to the back for loading.he well they weren't suppose too. I had this same guy wait on me in the past up front and I probably got stuff like that 20 times in the past from inside . this place sucks since the remodel.i will shop around now for my t&g car siding . read more

Been pondering on this for a day now and just can't get it off my mind...More times then none I can let negativity flow away..But yesterday my experience at this MENARDS was totally very unfortunate...Simply walked in looking for a Velcro strip and yes I understand things get moved and rearranged..But first when I asked this older lady where is the new location she simply acted like I was a waste of time..Rolled her eyes and said somewhere over on the other side and said didn't have time bc she was waiting for a steve guy...Which ok I understand folks have bad days..but when I couldn't find it I asked a younger feller over at the floor coverings he simply acted like he was to busy to direct me in the right direction and said its somewhere in home improvement..Which was totally different from which the older lady said..So I walked around to find it..Finally after a long bit of nothing,I asked this older gentleman working and atleast this fellow was acting like he cared and helped me out..But then as I was checking out the young cashier girl was very rude and didn't say nothing of hello or thanks as I checked out...Im a contractor and theres one thing fer sure this feller isn't coming back here for a very long bit...There's a place right up the street that's going to be getting my business..Folks don't (Getcha Sum) from this place...Rude Rude Rude... read more

NOT RELIABLE... do not order something if you are in dire need of the product. They will not get it to you in a timely manner and will not compensate for THEIR mistake. So after a lot of price checking shopping for pipe for our wood burning stove, we found that Mendards just so happened to be the best deal. since we don't have one where I live in West Virginia I purchased the double wall pipe on 11/25/18. It was supposed to be delivered by 12/3/18. I figured something was wrong with the shipping company not the store (FedEx) so I called FedEx first. NOPE not FedEx's fault. I called Menards and something happened in their receiving department and the part never got shipped as of 12/6. the lady proceeded to tell me she would talk to her manager and ask if they could overnight the pipe per my request. When I got a call back from Valerie she said her manager said no they would not overnight or rush the product and it would be shipped out the next day. Shame on them for not correcting their mistake while I'm sitting here cold waiting on our pipe for our wood stove.
