Menards is like Lowe's or Home Depot on steroids . . . . and i spend a lot of time (and money) at Home depot and Lowe's. The selection of the usual items is off the chart, thn you add in clothing, groceries, furniture, and who knows what else and its a pretty epic experience. Now I'm probably not buying my underwear or a recliner here but I guess it's good to know that I could??? And apparently enough people must. I was in the Hastings Nebraska location on 6-26-21 around 3:00pm to purchase materials for a new floor for my house. we were looking for a product we bought about a year ago that you appear to not carry anymore. The associate that was helping me (Brett) could not find it in the system he claimed, we even provided a SKU of the product. I asked where the 16x16 title was and he waved me to an isle but did not take me nor offer to help show me where its at. I could not find a matching 16x16 tile or any 16x16 tile at all. Menards didn't carry that size of product Brett said when i inquired with him again. So i asked that if i could return what i have so that i can get current available materials. Brett did not know so he called the General Manager of the Store (Steve). Steve asked if we had a receipt, this was being relayed through Brett on the phone not face to face, to which we do not have the receipt and Steve said that we could not return it to Brett over the phone. Now we asked to talk to Steve the GM up front face to face to make sure we are not missing anything for a possible return. He said no receipt no return and literally shrugged his shoulders and walked away without offering any other assistance to resolve the issue. Steve Didn't offer to look it up or look at our card history for the purchase. I did not feel like i was helped properly and that he even tried to help me in any way. So i called the Grand Island Nebraska location and asked to speak with the GM of that location (James). James actually looked up the SKU and he did find it. Confirmed that it was no longer carried by Menards. Here is how James went above and beyond what Steve could. 1. James looked it up and found it. 2. James emailed the company to see if they could offer me any of the product Im looking for, because I wasn't looking to return but to purchase more. 3. James offered to look through our Menards card history to find the purchase so i could return in the event the company could not get me the product i wanted. I accepted James help and gave him my contact info. None of this was offered by Steve in Hastings I called back to the Hastings Nebraska location and talked to Steve again. I asked if he had looked up the SKU him self. He said no. I Asked why he didn't offer to look through my card history for the purchase. He said it was because he assume the other associates did. I asked him if he even asked if anyone did any of these things or if they told him they did these things so that he didn't have to. He said no. So he did not care if the other store employees helped me properly nor did he care enough to properly help me which is obvious if he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away from when when I wanted help. The Manager Steve at the Hastings location is doing your company a Huge dis-service. read more

I would give 0 stars but can't! Worst customer service. People are so rude. will never shop their nor online! Door man had no respect. Employees are very discriminatory to the customer! What I do recommend is to go to Ace hardware store it's literally access the street. read more

Amazing customer service, by far the best menards in the state of Nebraska. The staff is always extremely helpful, the prices have most of their competitors beat, and their bargains that they have advertised and sales, are always pretty much in stock and are at very reasonable prices. Out of all the menards here in this state, it is the cleanest and best maintained. The groceries (yes they do carry groceries here) are much better prices than what walmart has to offer, believe it or not. The grocery section here has refrigerated goods, as well as plenty of dry goods, they make walmart look very bad. =) read more

Great prices and good selection! You could spend a very long time in this store trying to find your way around though.

Menard's has a big selection, and usually good sale's, but a lot of the worker's that I have encountered have been less then friendly, and helpful!. The only GOOD help I have gotten, has been in the flooring Dept, from a gal whom had to figure up all my square footage, etc. The guy back in the appliance Dept doesn't want to get off his stool to go help you, on the floor, and he called me a name under his breathe, but me, my boyfriend, and sister that were there trying to get help from him, couldn't hear exactly what he said.. HORRIBLE, IF YOU ASK ME!.. I have spent several thousand dollars there this month, because I am remodeling a house I bought, but if there WS somewhere closer to go to, like Lowe's, I would definitely go there, instead!.. Plus Menard's DOES NOT DELIVER FOR FREE WHEN YOU LIVE APPROXIMATELY 35 MILE'S AWAY!.. They charged me $125 after spending thousand's, this is WRONG!.. Home Depot delivers for FREE!!!!.. I've never tried harder to spend thousands of dollars with a business and walk away spending nothing. I never got past the terrible service (Building Materials Dept) to evaluate the quality and lowest prices the company claims to be committeed to. Worst service anywhere! read more
