Very poor consumer relations. Bought a toilet. Installed it and it leaked. Although I had installed many before I figured it must be me. Called a plumber. After he tried to set it 4 times, taking 2 hours (and boy was he frustrated) he found a pinhole in the bottom underside of the toilet that was causing the issue. It cost me about $400 for him to discover this. Menards refunded the toilet and gave me form to fill out to get the $400 back. I filled out the form and they denied it. Said all their products were consumer friendly and they didn't reimburse for professional installation. The prosessional is the only reason I knew it was defective. I'm not a Menards fan and will now drive the 2 miles to Lowes. read more

I purchased 30 mosaic tiles on March 15, 2025 for $362.69 from Menards. Thereafter, I found a better deal at Home Depot. So, I returned the 30 mosaic tiles on March 31, 2025, but received a refund of only $322.79. When I question the rep. I was told that Menards was processing my rebate and therefore I could not be refunded the full amount. However, since I was returning the tiles, I was told that I may not receive the rebate. I don't understand this policy. So, essentially, I paid Menards $39.90 for nothing. What a scam. Don't ever fall for the Menards Rebate Scam. we recently bought interior wood doors from menards. we were looking for solid oak. found the doors with the sign that said oak doors. got them home, stained them. when our contractor came to hang them, he discovered they were cheap particle board with oak veneer. Im a contractor and spend approx. 30k a year in the holland store.I return a defective product,a box of broken tile,I was told they could not give me refund because I used one peice that wasnt broke , when I complained they said I could take my business somewhere else if I didnt like it, I was shocked that a managet would tell a customer that and the security guard said it too. I wonder how the regionale manager would like them doing that. On 11/9/23; I went to Menards to make use of a rebate that I had received. In line to check out I was number two. A young man named Brady was being spoken to by a female customer in front of me who was arguing that a sale offer that had expired a week previous should still be honored. Brady, very politely explained ; as the young lady repeatedly was abrasive and insulting to the very person who is trying to help her. Had to pick up an order from an online order. Guy at the gate had to finish his txt message before he could wait on us. I asked "is this we're we pick up the online orders?" He said ya but I need that first (pointing at my buddies phone). Then he just said gate 14. NOTHING ELSE!!! So rude! We get back to the gate and he didn't say anything. I purchased several items that quit working the very first week. The manager I spoke to during the week assured me that I would receive full store credit, but the weekend manager refused to give me store credit and said it was because they had no record of the purchase. The day I attempted to return these items I also had approximately $2000.00 worth of furniture I was going to buy, but I could only take 2 chairs and would have to return to pick up the couch. I was told that they couldn't hold the couch for me, it was first-come first-first serve! I left without purchasing anything at all, including what I already had in my cart. went shopping for a dog kennel gate and found one left, employee stated it was discontinued. The gate itself was a dented on every side and even the chain link was in terrible shape. I, for one, am not a huge home improvement person. I think HGTV and all those other places and shows are mega overrated. So imagine my surprise when I went here with my mom for some simple outdoor plants. This place is huge! I need to start off by saying that for as big as it is, it is super clean, well organized and maintained. I never once had to hunt down an associate for assistance which is a HUGE plus! Their outdoor section is HUGE and is well stocked with healthy plants and a wide variety. I was impressed! I will definitely be back because they make you feel comfortable even when it's clear that you're not a huge diy'er! read more

I frequently shop at the Holland Oh. store. Live nearby. I have continued my shopping there through the CV19 issues. Shortly after the outbreak my refrigerator began to malfunction. I went to the nearest "home improvement store" that being Ménards. There was a side by side on the floor that I immediately decided to purchase. The young sales person was very professional and explained the "delivery" process, which included a delivery only into my GARAGE. Not cool, 2 retired folk are not hauling a refrigerator into the kitchen! No sale! Felt really bad for the young salesman. Yesterday I rented a rug doctor. It was a clean machine, but I noted some residual dirty water in some of the crevices, but what the heck ...it's a spot cleaner for carpet. Worked like a champ. Placed it into my large SUV last evening at 6, after taking soap, water ( very hot water) and cleaning it as well as I have cleaned the dozens and dozens of carpet cleaners I have rented from HD/ Lowe's and several ace hardware types. NEVER have I had an issue. I was made to feel like I took mud from the garden and smeared it in the machine. Now to be honest I did take it after the 24hour time frame, but did not look like there was a line waiting for said, machines. I have had a few issues over the years with the saleswomen. I describe her as a Pitbull ( I have a real 4 legged pitty). Luckily we are retiring in Mi. And the nearest Menards will be 2.5 hours away. You have lost me as a costumer. read more

I think my biggest issue with Menards is the fact that it caters to the do it yourself homeowner. This is only an issue because I've liked many things at Menards, but they never advertise whether or not the do installation services, and if they do, for what price. Plus, it's pretty hard to beat some of the financing promotions of Home Depot and Lowes. Most of my Menard's purchases tend to be items like furnace filters, light bulbs, and decorations; things that tend to be good buys, so I stock up. I think the quality of some of their products tends to be a bit cheap, so I tend to not purchase big ticket items from here. read more

Okaaaaay! I have an older home in the Holland area that I decided I was going to DIY remodel. This is all on a single moms, nurse budget! Being that I'm pinching pennies, I wanted the best that I could (not) afford and I have found it all at menards! My house is me (Nurse Mom) and three daughters who's favorite color is glitter. Glitter paint is offered at menards, but it's $20 for a quart! Cheapest price I could find, by the way. I'm a girly girl, so I bought it. It's absolutely amazing and I'm so happy with it. The only real issue I had with menards is that the peel and stick backsplash by RoomMates Decor wasn't offered in store for the color I wanted. They only had the blue, so I had hunted online everywhere for an affordable seller. Otherwise, I'm so happy when I see markdown stickers. read more

You could say that I'm a big "do it yourself" kind. I love Menard's. They have just about anything you could need and have a great overall selection of items for home improvement or any household item. From kitchen appliances to what goes in the pantry, Menard's does not disappoint. The staff is always friendly and it's clear that customer service is a priority. I've placed many special orders with Menard's and it's always quick and easy and help is right there if you need it. No hunting for assistance. I admit, I try to shop mostly during their 11% days. If I can get something I need on sale and then get the 11% back on top of that, well it's just icing on the cake. read more

Horrible Service. I couldn't find anyone to help me and I needed to buy a toilet. So I grab the one directly under the one that's on sale. I check out and look at my receipt try charged me $40 extra. I go back into the garden area where I checked out, she says she can't change it I have to go to customer service. So I drive down there and they that toilet isn't on sale. So I meet a guy over there who tells me it's a different toilet, doesn't offer to help me grab the right one or take the wrong one. An extra 30 min of running around. Never again. read more

This store absolutely never has a flat cart for you to use if you go in the morning you can watch their staff using all of them to stock shelves which to me is hilarious because kind of hard to buy something if you can't get a cart to carry it out so my suggestion to Menards is maybe to invest in some flat cards I have continued to stop at the store periodically to check and see if this is changed but it never has I shop at Home Depot on airport highway which has flat carts lined up outside for you to grab for your convenience imagine that a store providing a way to remove all of their garbage from their store on a flat card it's amazing what would happen if Menards actually bought some flat carts I'm guessing their sales would probably drastically increase because right now the best way for you to get a flat cart at Menards to carry your stuff out is to a bring it your own or be build one from the s*** you can buy from them there good luck read more

I was in the store earlier today to purchase an item from a wedding registry. I had looked the info up on the website, and knew exactly what I was going to buy. So, when checking out I told the cashier to note it being purchased. She could not do it without the registry number, of which I had nooo idea what she was referring to. She couldn't use the names. So, that evening I called the store and asked them to note the registry as I was able to locate it after scrutinizing the site to find it. I was told that the only way they could now do it, was to return the item (!!!!!) and repurchase it!!! Are you kidding me? I live 35 miles away and it was a large item. I was not happy, and told him so. This isn't customer service. I was doing my part by trying to go above and beyond to update the registry, very frustrating. read more
