Disappointed in the online ordering. We placed an order online ...got there to pick it up and front desk staff directed us to go somewhere to the back of the store , he wasn't sure but it was somewhere back there to pick up our order. I felt like the whole order online process was a waste of time. I had picked up a couple of other things along our way to somewhere in the back of the store and the pick up order place couldn't ring us up because there's no register there. Ive been buying a specific Door and cabinet paint, recommended to me by someone in their paint department ( I assumed was a professional). I started the reno with a quart of the paint to see if I liked the finished product; 1 qt at $25. I did like it, and decided to do the rest of the house (trim and doors) in this same specific paint. ( I realized I would need quite a bit more). The second time I went back to buy more of this paint, there was only 1 gal left of this particular paint @ $55 a gallon. The person who mixed that gallon did it wrong and was deemed unusable. I was told they would have this paint in gallons in two weeks. Came back 2 wks later to be told it won't be in for another week. I spoke to the manager "Jackson"and explained the situation. I feel they should have sold me 4 quarts for the same price as a gallon. He called someone and then tells me that they cannot do this because they pay more for the quarts than the gallons. Ive been a good customer and drive farther to use their store. So for $50 they have lost a good customer. read more

MY PROBLEM is with the store manager in Kokomo named ______. When I asked to speak with her she again said that the price was as low as she could offer and as well I had been extended the 11% without having to mail it in. I stated (as I encourage you to do) that I had spent in the thousands of dollars in both the Kokomo store as well as the Lafayette store in the past 3 to 4 years. I asked if she could not even extend a mere $50 credit of some nature in compensation. Her response to me was "whether you've spent $5 or $10,000 the customer is treated the same. I asked if it was worth her losing a well-shopped customer over $50 and she was unwilling to do anything for me. I asked her to credit my credit card back and cancel the order. My response to Corporate Menards: I have worked in management where we valued the customer and did what we could even if it was in a discretionary manner to promote good will...with the ultimate goal to have a happy customer that returned. Evidently due to her remarks to me and unwillingness to work with me I have no intention of ever shopping in the Kokomo, Indiana store. I just feel that her actions and unwillingness to correct this manner through my due diligence in going to both stores should be recognized. The following was corporates response, which incidentally was under a minute: Greg, I'm very sorry, but we are unable to further discount our already low prices. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Thank you, ___ I wrote back: It was the remark that she made stating whether I spent $5 or $10,000 it didnt matter. If you have no further concern in this matter, I will no longer shop at any Menards. I was sending this in the spirit of letting you know how your staff treats customers. the Warsaw Indiana store is the worst store I've ever been in... the inventory is always off don't ever buy online you will be disappointed.. the store manager doesn't care about the customers. all he cares about is if you have a mask on or not.. and I still don't have my money back from my purchase. everyone stay away from this store your just setting yourself up for failure.... read more

I've had nothing but great service here. I like Menards wayyyy more than I ever could like Home Depot. The staff is friendly, the prices are affordable and the item selection is vast. Things are organized quite nicely. Last time I went in there I had keys made and when I was simply looking up at aisle signs a staff member was saw that and came to me from 3 aisles away just to ask if I needed help locating an item. Greg's review actually highlights a positive things about Menards in my opinion: "Whether you spend $5 Or $10,000 we treat all customers the same." I'm down for equality and not granting special privileges to some people over others. read more

We have spent more time here in the last few weeks than anyone cares to hear about. I've been able to find the things we need and the paint counter people have been very helpful with our paint needs. I also found inexpensive flooring and a very cool leaf shaped sink that I will be getting for the spa. read more

Terrible. Purchased a $1300 washer, paid for the correct one, then pulled into the back and they proceeded to load up the incorrect washer. Realized this after my 45 minute drive home (1.5 hour round trip), installed the incorrect washer, and then noticed "hey, this is not what I paid for and picked out"!!! Accidents happen, no biggie. That said, it would have been fair for them to say "we will come pick up the washer and bring you the correct one". Nope. They refused and when I spoke to the "Manager" he reiterated that they couldn't simply fix the problem by bringing me the correct washer because I hadn't paid for delivery. Seriously!?!?!.....so I unhooked it and drive my 1.5 hour round trip to return their mistake washer. And the kicker???? It was Fathers Day and instead of spending the day with my 3 kids and wife, I spent the day fixing their mistake that they refused to fix. The worst experience I've had anywhere in a long time. Once this Menards card is paid off(0%/6 months), I will never shop at Menards again. I've added a $90k addition to my house and furnished it using Menards. To treat a great customer like this only proves why one should shop local. Pay a little more, but you can guarantee they'd not treat a customer like this. Also, they were "expecting" me when I came back in to get the correct washer and the Manager was nowhere to be found. Grow a pair sir, and face the man you basically told to get bent. Everyone else was very nice, so I'm sorry you have to work for a spineless coward. read more

I bought items that had a rebate notice in front of them, including the regular price of the item. It was a great deal...or so I thought. When I was checking out, I even commented on the rebate. The cashier never said ANYTHING about my purchases and it wasn't until I got home that I realized that there was no rebate receipt on my regular receipt. When I called the store, they informed me that the rebate was only good for certain types of fabric drawers, even though they are all together and priced the same. It's too bad your service doesn't match that of Home Depot, but it's worth the added drive to Logansport to deal with employees who care about their customers. VERY DISAPPOINTED! After spending almost $10,000 in their store, I had a refrigerator delivered to my home. The delivery guy did not hook up the waterline to the icemaker properly and I ended up with a slow leak. Due to the placement of furniture on the other side of the wall, the problem was not caught until the water had soaked through the wall onto my brand new carpet and through the wood furniture. Menards will not stand behind their delivery service and will do nothing to facilitate getting the carpet replaced! What does it take for a customer to mean something to this company!! It has been almost a month now and my carpet still has not been replaced! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE in my book!!!!!! read more

Menards says they are known for customer satisfaction. The manager at the Kokomo store is not. After spending almost $2,000 on bathroom items, I special ordered a vanity. When I got it home, not only was it damaged, one door was the wrong color. The vanity was VERY heavy. I called the store and they said they would be happy to reorder the vanity but it was my responsibility to bring it back for the exchange. I told them I had no way to return the vanity. The manager told me I had to pay the $80 delivery fee or they could not help me. There was NO sign telling me that it was my responsibility to inspect the package before I took it home. This would have required tearing it apart in the parking lot to inspect it. I felt the manager could have offered money off or to deliver the undamaged product but he said that was an unreasonable request. I checked with the manager of another Menards in the Indianapolis area and he said I was absolutely correct in asking for help and any manager should be happy to help me. DO NOT SHOP IN THE KOKOMO STORE!! Go to Lowes or Home Depot. They will bend over backwards to help customers!! read more
