It's simple, the staff has attitude and are just TOO BUSY to help. Be careful where you walk around the grounds as well. The walk ways are very uneven and dangerous. They are also the most expensive place to shop in Howard County. read more

They have the most beautiful and huge hanging baskets. And all their flowers in general are robust and large. Overall, their flowers are much larger than any other places around. The gift shop is also filled with beautiful home decor/garden decor items. Their prices are a little higher, but comparable to size, I feel they are right in line with their pricing. read more

While Salsbery has a large selection of annuals, perennials, trees, etc, they also have a garden gift shop with beautiful and unique items. Salsbery is the garden center I turn to to find unusual plants, or at least plants that you don't normally see in other garden centers. The displays are done so beautifully that it is a pleasure just to walk through the LARGE main outdoor greenhouse to take it all in even if you don't plan to purchase that day. Some of their items, such as fountains, sculptures etc, are WAY out of my price range but the annuals and perennials are not much higher than other garden centers. The owners of this business are rude and unprofessional. We purchased 10 larger trees and paid to have them planted. They asked for us to mark the yard where we wanted them to be planted when The two men they hired to plant them arrived at 10 AM we had four places marked for them to start planting. The owner called me later in the evening and said he was disappointed that all 10 spots were not marked when they arrived with only four plants in their truck I was a little confused at why he was "disappointed". There was absolutely no way that two men were going to be able to plant the four large trees in the 15 minutes it took for us to mark the additional six spots. I think it was really unnecessary for him to say he was disappointed! That's just not the way you talk to a customer. Then he proceeded to say it was a bitch to plant them. Which I found that highly unprofessional language to use. They were never delayed in any way. We paid $750 just for the planting of the trees. It's unfortunate that this type of customer service is the reason the younger generations are purchasing online rather than from local independent businesses. So not only are they really high priced with mediocre trees, they're rude and have terrible customer service. read more

Really beautiful place, if you're looking for a large selection in kokomo this is the place to go. Whether you want to spend $15 or $500 this is the place to go. The staff are also very pleasant and helpful. It's definitely worth going out of your way to stop by. read more

Not something I normally do but y'all need to know how I was just treated by Salsbery Garden Center - Kokomo I was given an expensive tree purchased from this place in remembrance of my momma who passed away in April. The gift giver was notified of a "guarantee" but never told it had to be planted by their company for the full guarantee. The tree has died. At the request of the employee, I emailed the owner with pictures on June 27. I heard nothing back until I called today. Keith offered - 1/2 off the cost of a new tree - not even to come look at it and when asked why he didn't reach out - well there just wasn't a good reason other than he was busy with his stores. I'm so very disappointed. As of this experience, I would NOT recommend them. read more
