Didn't get my 70.00 rebate from last year. I emailed them with no response. Went in to the Manitowoc store and asked for a phone number. Was told there wasn't one and she told me to email them. It didn't work the first time. A employee at the counter gave me a dirty look for asking for help. I hear there's a lawsuit against Menards for the Rebates not being sent. Not surprised. Go to Lowe's in Manitowoc. They have great customer service and products. read more

This is a builder's dream. All the construction materials to build a small community. Since I was just checking out the store, I wasn't planning to buy anything. I say a video series I've been wanting. I was pleased to find out that they were offering an 11% discount. Unfortunately, when I took them out of the box, some of the disks were damaged. Very nice Menards. Great selection of home improvement merchandise. Excellent value. I'll go to Lowe's for appliances, but everything else brings me here. Checkout experience is a weak spot (can sometimes be painfully slow - I actually got yelled at by a cashier once because I left my one item in the checkout lane and walked out of the store after waiting 15 minutes in line). There appear to be mostly Menards haters reviewing this Menards on Yelp. This store is actually quite pleasant. Although those reviews appear to mostly be rants, Yelp's AI software is woefully lacking in recognizing that. read more

No to little help with our Klearveau Cabinets. Terrible product, flimsy with bad design. Had to reinforce substantially. Plastic feet. Wood look vinyl tape trim. TAPE! Assemble EVERYTHING! Never disclosed during sale. Multiple trips back to get the right components because they got the order fulfillment wrong. Directions written by folks who can't write. DONT BUY THIS INFERIOR PRODUCT from this store utterly lacking in customer service. read more

Menards has certain key product/material strengths over Home Depot and Lowes that lead me to this store based on the DIY project I am working on. In particular, they have excellent masonry/stone products with great selection at low prices, large interior/exterior lighting selection, great selection of interior/exterior doors, large selection of vanities/sinks and low prices for interior trim wood ( excellent cedar board prices). Aside from these areas, I would say that they lag behind Home Depot on associate knowledge and higher end contractor grade tools which is a big deal to me and the limiting factor in them not getting more than 3 stars. However, if one of your DIY projects are taking you down a path of one of their product strengths than you should definitely visit this store as you will not be disappointed. read more

I called Menards in Manitowoc. All I wanted were the store hours. Well, I listened to your recording for along, long time, probably 2-3 minutes. After all the pressing of bottons, it told me to dial O for assistance. So, like a dummy I dialed it and was told it was an invalid numder. This happened three times. Finally I put in any 3 numbers and got the flooring dept. The clerk told me the store hours. It took about 20 seconds. I think it time to get rid of the recording or make a complete change. I'm with Jack on this place. Very nice hardware store. Good place to buy tools, blades and lumber. Very nice garden center with good bedding plants. Well stocked and neat. Must be run by grown-ups because their supply chain is top notch. For a while this was to only store stocking toilet paper when the rest of the town was devoid. Their garden center was the only place, in town, with bales of peat moss. This shows me that the management here is on the ball. But the best part is that they require shoppers to wear masks. Everywhere else in Manitowoc has shown the limit of their attention span by forgetting we are in the midst of a pandemic. Although the store is very busy, all the staff and all the customers are wearing masks with no complaint. Goes to show that Americans can be considerate, if they are forced to be. Customer service is great. We bought some storage shelves the other day; and the young lady, who was helping my wife, went beyond helpful to the point of being cheerful and funny. As Jack said, if I need a refrigerator or a washing machine I'll go to Lowe's and catch one of their interest free deals. But I will patronize Menard's from now on. Just because of their mature policies on keeping their customers safe. Not to mention their variety of goods and their nice prices. read more

Terrible terrible terrible. Should I talk about the lack of service or the totally rude checkout people? No one seems to be helpful, terrible store for service or assistance in any form! I came here again; to use a rebate form... items were mis-priced and I got over charged for at least two items. I couldn't have the checkout lady check to fix it (she didn't offer) because there was only one lane open for checkout. But at least two dozen employees throughout the store standing around in groups with their feet on the shelves just talking. We were disappointed we couldn't bring our dogs in. Home Depot and Lowe's allows you to bring in your dogs. The staff wasn't friendly. We were never greeted when an employee passed by us. They have cool stuff in the garden section. The cashier who checked us out was friendly read more

I used to love shopping here. But now when I come you can never find anyone to help you, you have to search for help. And iam getting tired of having to mail in the rebates. They need to have a app for it instead. read more

For the most part i like Menards. Yes sometimes you have to look for help, but i do understand the do try do keep overhead down. I did have an issue with an lady employee in electrical, just plain rude. Also I agree with the other review. The rebate BS can go. The idea is to draw customer but is also based on how many rebates are not used. While a sale is great, a rebate is ok but my time is also valuable, and hiring the staff to deal with rebates only drives up the cost again. Do your customers fairness and just lower the price, Hello Fleet Farm. read more
