A six-week course costs $60, meaning that each hour-long lesson is only $10. Worth every penny, I tell you! If you've ever been remotely interested in bellydancing, I highly recommend studying here with Celeste. The facility also is home to, as the name would suggest, Aikido and T'ai Chi classes, as well as some other dance classes. It's in a fairly convenient location right off of Binford Boulevard.

I emailed back and said I had never received a confirmation from their website and just noticed it never got in my calendar. Later that day, Teresa emailed back and said that I hadn't checked some boxes on the site so they could call me, not only was she not going to reschedule my pre-paid appointment, but that on top of my pre-paid massage that she was not going to re-schedule, I also owed them an additional $25 according to her online scheduling system. Now, as an online business owner myself, I can understand tech glitches, miscommunications and a lot of things that can and do happen. However, this takes the cake in terms of unprofessionalism with zero communication. Also, as a new client, booking for the first time (and pre-paying) this is not only bad business, it's actually lacking emotional intelligence and deeply unkind of a place that is supposed to be run by "healers." Had the massage been good, I would have likely become a regular. Yoga practitioners, head on over to this gorgeous studio for a great yoga experience. They offer an expanded variety of classes, including vinyasa flow, yin, restorative, and more. There are also a number of specialty workshops for beginners, and specialty workshop topics as well. Another thing I really appreciate is how the owners, Jeanne and Wayne, have worked so hard to make this a welcoming community space for all kinds of yoga. They often offer herbal teas on Saturday after the morning class in a beautifully appointed main room, and it's so nice to sit there and relax after a yoga practice. There are yoga and alternative medicine books and magazines to peruse, and locally made crafts and yoga props for sale as well. I couldn't ask for a nicer studio!

The duo has reimagined what a fitness center can offer. First, don't be fooled by the outside of the building in an aging strip mall. The inside is open, airy and sparkling clean with lots of light. When we entered, John was working with a client on the weights. Tom greeted us and told us about the facility and made us feel welcome. Tom told us they have several trainers on staff. He encouraged us to download the AF app so we could see how busy the gym is. The equipment is well spaced, clean with televisions running with captions and ready to hook up ear buds. Currently, run classes for seniors twice a week for a $5 fee. One is a strength and balance training and the other is Tai Chi. They also offer boot camps to all on a regular basis. Currently, they have a 100 visit challenge to motivate clients. This is a well run gym that makes me want to drive the extra distance to visit. I look forward to workouts.
