This mall has really been updated. It has a wide variety of some of the best stores. There's a lovely food court with various cuisines such as Chick fil a, Haagen Dazs, Charlie's steaks, chipotle, Chinese, Panera, pizza and a few sit down restaurants. There's plenty of parking. I thought garden state plaza was one of jerseys best malls, but this one isn't half bad. The mall is really huge, has your standard chain stores but some good places to eat and nice boutique stores as well. Best part is there's no sales tax! read more

I have been to the Menlo Park Mall many times and I think it is a nice place to shop. However, some stores tend to be more expensive but in any mall in America, Nordstroms, Macy's, and Bloomingdales will always be expensive. M.P.M has an Old Navy, New York and Co. and Payless and other stores that I can afford. And Macy's can have some sales if you really delve into the racks. What makes me angry is how other people, who also wrote reviews on this site, call it a "Typical White Upper Middle Class Mall" or "It Screams White Upper Class, even the literally bleached white walls and lighting." What does the color of ones skin have to do with a mall, the color of walls, the lighting and what kind of stores are there? Saying "the Menlo Park Mall is White upper class because it has pricey stores, white walls, and special lighting" is just as bad a stereotype as saying "Brooklyn is a Black lower class area because its stores are cheap, its walls are vandalized, and the lighting is horrible." A stereotype is a stereotype and its not right for anyone to use them. And to many I say to you now, "Practice what you preach" because I can only imagine how some people are reading this and hating me right now, but I am right. If you don't want people to stereotype against you, then you must stop doing it to others as well. In no way am I racist against others. I just want to be treated the same as I treat others...equally and without judgement. I could care less what type of people shop where I shop and it is disappointing to know that other people do. If I like the place I am at, I am glad that other people can enjoy it as well. We were asked to rate the mall, not the type of people who shop there or "What Race Do You Think Shops at Menlo Park?" It saddens me that people automatically assume that if a place has expensive stores or fancy lighting, that it only caters to the White upper class. Because the last time I checked, being White had nothing to do with how much money one has. I know a lot of people, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, who make more money than I do (My family is considered Upper Middle Class) and they too, shop at the Menlo Park Mall. In actuality, those who placed a stereotype on this mall or any other place or thing, add to the stereotypical society that everyone is trying to demolish. And to Jean K. and John M., every time I visit the Menlo Park Mall, I see a lot of people, who are not White, walking around with tons of bags full of things that they just bought. So now ask yourself, is it really a "White" Mall or is that just the stereotype that you placed on it. It seems to me like it is just a horrible, hypocritical, stereotype and that is where I think the "Pretentiousness" derives from. I know that you may not have realized what you said was insulting, rude, and inappropriate, but hopefully now you realize that it was and you may even change the way you think, at least I hope you do. Because by doing so we will be one step closer to stopping stereotypes and racism. read more

I haven't actually been here in years but went with a friend to get her iPhone replaced at the Apple Store this week. Didn't do much exploring but def saw a few new additions I appreciated. Best mall in central jersey! They have almost every store under one roof. It is ALWAYS packed, the parking lot and streets to get out looks like the zombie apocalypse started and there is some sort of safe zone inside the mall. Seriously you would never think we had a recession based on how many people are always at this mall. There are a ridiculous amount of restaurants to choose from including the Cheesecake Factory, champs, the rainforest cafe, a new Cuban fusion restaurant and across the parking lot there's seasons 52. All the stores in Menlo are usually bigger than what you would find in most malls so you can find more of a selection and the Macy's and Nordstrom are great. Nordstroms are always great but this Macy's is exceptional. read more

I've been coming to Menlo Mall since I was a little kid. In my opinion, far superior to Woodbridge Mall down the road. Woodbridge may be larger and have more stores, but Menlo has pretty much every store I need, in a smaller building and more upscale environment. Plus, it's connected to Cheesecake Factory and Barnes and Noble. Over the years they've done away with a lot of the cheaper places and have been trying really hard to bring in the more high-end trendy stores, but in my opinion, they still have a pretty good balance. The fact that people come from all over central Jersey to this mall shows that they're doing something right. One complaint is that I think they've been having a/c issues this summer, because sometimes it is UNBEARABLY hot, especially in the food court. read more

This mall feels like home to me. Woodbridge Center might have a better H&M, but they don't have a Uniqlo, Zara, or Old Navy. Nordstrom has the best restroom in the building. My biggest complaint is probably that - despite the many options in the food court - there's a dearth of quality. read more

This is one of the best malls to shop! I visit once a year for all the Black Friday deals. Not only is it clean but less violent crowds compared to the malls in the city. I'm pretty sure you all heard of the stampede that occured in Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and sadly even K-mart. None of this behavior is tolerated in the suburb areas of NJ. In fact, I was able to breeze through pretty easily from BCBG to Zara and back to Nordstrom. There were also complimentary cookies/bruschetta trays and candy booths set up in the Food Courts. The Starbucks line could use a bit of management to tidy up the wait time. And the parking lots are HUGE...there's no need to fight over any space. This saves plenty of time for shopping. It's simply relaxing and an enjoyable experience for all as shopping therapy is meant to do! Don't worry about "while supplies last"...this won't happen at Menlo Park! read more

This used to be an "upscale" mall, but seems to have fallen into mediocrity. From the outside you see the things that make malls upscale including Barns & Noble, AMC dine in, Cheesecake factory and Nordstroms, however once inside you would think you were at any other mall. Everything inside needs a major makeover, the floor looks worn, walls are half spackled and they have empty stores. The stores they have are nothing special, as you can find them in any mall. The mall being Simon owned, you'd think they would take note from Quakerbridge mall's renovation and do the same. read more

Menlo mall is good. Its a good mix between Garden State Plaza which is mostly high end, and other malls. You can find things from different stores, no matter your salary. The parking is a always terrible!! Weekends, summer, and holidays are the worst. Food selection is really good. They are good choices in the actual food court, plus there are restaurant selections in the mall. Even more there are great choices right across the street, down the street etc. read more

Just returned from a little bit of shopping at our favorite Mall. --My Mom and I regularly visit Menlo Park Mall for a variety of reasons. Besides the shopping it is perfect for walking... Not too big. Not too small... Sometime back I had noticed signs saying there were plans to do some renovating of Menlo. I was curious so did a bit of investigating to learn more. Really-- the place did not look "bad" but it was nice that there were plans to "freshen up." They said it would be completed in time for Christmas. Because I am in there several times a month I was dubious.... Happily I will say they have reached their goal. The place looks great. Many pockets of space for seating. Clean, bright, and very comfortable. A job well done. I must also add that Santa was there for Christmas card photos. Menlo has an amazing Santa. Looks the part and is very nice and well spoken. The problem we noticed some weeks back was the back drop for these pictures. It was sparse and not at all Christmassy. Supposed to be North Pole like. Very disappointing. We had planned on staying away until we learned that the franchise of Simon Mall Properties heard the voice of their shoppers and responded. ($$$) Today the same backdrop is in place but they have added many Christmas trees as part of the scene. It looks much better. The way it should look.--All is well. read more

I digs da' food court. Not many HEALTH JUNKIE options but there are options. The exterior parking garage areas are showing signs of wear and tear and rust. They have to start repainting the areas. Barnes & Noble and the Apple Store are da' bombs. When my wife lost her iPod Touch the staff was very helpful to help her find it. Unfortunately, it wasn't recovered. Security is cool and there is an occasional cop that walks the beat. I think he is Batman. read more

Menlo is a nice mall, has a good selection of stores and restaurants. Standard Jersey mall with a little bit of everything. The main reason I'll usually venture to Menlo is for the Rainforest Cafe or The Cheesecake Factory to be honest. The crowds can be annoying, but it depends what time of day and what day you go. read more

Pretty good mall, with a mixture of "A" & "B" level stores. The main reason why I go here is for the Cheesecake Factory. Shopping usually comes after that. They also have a great movie theater in this mall. It has waiter service and a bar, too. read more

Kim R and I came here yesterday because we wanted to hunt down Chickfila. We were totally successful in finding it at Menlo Park Mall. After we ate, we shopped for a little while. Even though the stores do not have half as much as they do in NYC, we still managed to shop at Zara and purchase some items on sale. The mall itself is really clean and organized. I don't think I will be making special effort to come back here though. The city has so many more options. read more

I give Menlo Park Mall 2 stars on shops (i've experienced better), but 4 stars on the food court (my favorite place whenever I have to go to the mall). There's a chipotle, a chick-fil-A, and much more stuff than my home town's Willowbrook Mall. read more

I dont know how I could write anything bad about menlo park mall. I love this place. The food is good, the selection of stores is just as good, and the parking is good as well. There should def be motorcycle parking as most malls have this already. Woodbridge right down the street has parking for us! NOTE: My review is for Nordstrom's - while I do love Menlo Park, gotta give Nordstrom's their recognition (yeah, I know this is a small Nordstroms, limited selling space). Went there today to visit the Estee Lauder counter. The manager, well she said she was, is from the Philippines, don't remember her name, but just had a wonderful personality. I am a little on the reserved side and I wanted to try something a little out of the box. She convinced me to try a new lip color and I just trusted her judgement and it worked out well. Now I know its their job to do makeovers, and sell makeup, I get it, but she left an everlasting impression of just great service. Kudo's to Nordstrom's for finding such a gem to add to their collection of stars. read more

I really don't like this mall. Granted it does have Cheesecake Factory and a Barnes and Nobles, but the selection in stores is either real expensive (Nordstroms) or just the usual Aeropostale. It has Old Navy, which is a plus from Woodbridge. Though Woodbridge is more for the average middle class woman, and Menlo is a little step up. Though if you want to shop, and eat, Menlo is your place because many restaurants are just right outside- Macaroni Grill, casual Panera's, Hibachi, Cheesecake Factory, two sports bars, and more. But let's face it, Woodbridge is barely a mile or two away so go both places if you really want to. read more

Love this mall... has awesome stores like Zara, J Crew, The Limited, Nordstrom. Higher end kind of mall compared to Woodbridge, but it's nice and clean. They also have a Forever 21 that's pretty big and if you go there on a weekday you can find some good stuff before the weekend rush. :) read more

Nothing special about Menlo. Typical mall. It is better than the other mall that is close-Woodbridge. Variety of stores, but only 2 department stores: Macy's and Nordstrom. They have a Sephora and Apple store which are huge pluses for me personally and they do have a food court as opposed to little food stands throughout the mall. Nights on weekends are when the Mall Rats hang out. The AMC Dine In is great too!! read more

This mall is huge. I used to come here with friends when I was in high school. More often than not, we also ended up shopping at Woodbridge as well (not too far from Menlo Park). I came back to Menlo Park recently, and it seems like the mall has cleaned up quite a bit. There are more upscale stores here and the common areas are very nicely decorated. It's definitely a very nice mall to walk through and to shop at. There are also a good selection of chain restaurants here to add to the family-friendly ambience. The two major department stores that anchor this mall are Macy's and Nordtrom's. read more

I love this mall. It's probably the only mall that when I go in, I always usually walk out with something. I will admit I do much of my shopping on the Internet though, but for certain things, like jeans for example, I gotta go to an actual store. The mall itself is really nice inside and kept in good condition. They have a good selection of stores like, Banana Republic, Zara, Nordstrome, etc,. Much better then the neighboring Woodbridge mall which IMO now sucks. read more
