It holds a special place in my heart. The past few years, it felt like a ghost town walking around. There was so many closings, no stores I was excited to go to, it was just not on my radar. But it really does feel like it's having a renaissance! I stopped in last week to make a few returns and was so excited to see so many new stores and a mall full of shoppers. From Pottery Barn, Vera Bradley, Jcrew, a brand new Anthro, and so many other noteworthy shops. I left with a few bags in hand. If you miss your mall shopping days as much as I do, Bridgewater Commons is officially back and worth a visit.

This department store is a solid, reliable stop when shopping at the mall. It has a wide selection…read moreof clothing, shoes, home goods, and accessories, making it easy to knock out multiple shopping needs in one place. The store is generally well-organized, with clear sections and helpful signage, and most items are easy to find without wandering too much. Staff interactions were mostly positive--available when needed without being pushy. Checkout was smooth, and there were decent sales running, which always helps make the visit feel worthwhile. A few areas could use improvement. Some sections felt a bit crowded or outdated, and inventory in certain sizes or styles was hit or miss. During busier times, lines can build up quickly, especially at customer service. Overall, it's a dependable department store that does what it's supposed to do. Not flashy, but convenient, practical, and a good anchor store for the mall.

This is one of those strip malls that's anchored by one store, which is a supermarket. The smaller retail units make up the remainder of this strip mall. This strip mall is anchored by Shop-Rite (reviewed separately). Notable tenants include Pet Valu, Hallmark, H&R Block, a Mailbox Business Center, Dollar (Plus) store, and Edible Arrangements. Other tenants include, but not limited to, a dry cleaner, a laundromat, florist, and a mixture of eateries. Of course there are some vacant units here, too. I've come here to patronize Shop-Rite and Starbucks (reviewed separately). I didn't have any issues finding a parking spot, unless it's because of the fact that I come here on weekday mornings when necessary. I also didn't run into any issues when entering or leaving the parking area either. I also walked from one end of the strip mall to the other. It was a pretty good walk. The strip mall appeared to be old, but in an okay condition. The roof top was brown, and the color around the signage appeared to be white. Triangular-shaped rooftops were visible on some parts of this strip mall. But what really matters is whether or not this strip mall has the place that you need to patronize at. Overall I'd say this is a very good strip mall.

There could be a bit more dining options besides Panera and SmashBurger, but there are a lot of good restaurants across the street. I can normally find something at this shopping center, despite being on the small side.

My primary complaint are parking spaces so tightly drawn that you have to wonder if the advent of the SUV had ever occurred to the architect. A Chevy Suburban and a Lincoln Navigator could easily crush any vehicle much larger than a Big Wheel with the cajones to crowbar themselves in between. If you want to open your doors, forget about it brother. Like everything else in Plainsboro, this center is low key bordering on amnesiac so frankly, I never think about this place but sometimes my self-driving Big Wheel just has a mind of it's own. Where'd I leave my crowbar?

It's always fun to see somebody jump in and grab the first to review on something that I created. Just kidding. I don't really mind and more power to them. What does that saying mean anyway. It's a good shopping plaza with Sunmerry Bakery and a bunch of other stuff. Parking is usually okay, although you have to walk a little ways to get to the stores as it is an old-style mall, so in the winter it is no fun at all.

While this is a very large shopping center, there's really nothing here that I need from here. The…read moreonly reason why I come here is because of the T J Maxx, that I usually come on my way back from the Menlo Park Mall. Dining options are pretty mediocre also. Most are fast food joints here. Nothing really extraordinary, It's quite crazy for a shopping center to have 20 stores, and you don't find anything for you from that variety.

It is off of St. Georges Avenue (hence the 1st part of the name of this place), also known as NJ-35. An entrance is also available for those who have to travel on US-1 Northbound as well. "Crossing" probably means that you have to cross the street or parking lot in order to reach the other parts of the strip mall. This isn't the biggest strip mall around. It's main anchor is the World Class Shop Rite. Other "big box" stores include PC Richards and PetSmart. Other tenants include (but not limited to) a liquor store, Pier 1 Imports, GameStop, VisionWorks, AutoZone, and various restaurants. Do you know where you want to go? I usually come here for the World Class Shop Rite, but only if I'm in the area. I was also in this strip mall recently for a Yelp Elite Event. Both of those places were reviewed separately. My experiences there were generally positive. I take away two stars because of the parking lot. Even though there is ample parking, the way the spots are laid out are very tight. The lot overall is kind of narrow to drive through. You would have to be careful when searching for a spot and parking in one. I've been to other strip malls (including Festival Plaza), and never ran into an issue like that. As far as decorations were concerned, there really wasn't much for me to say. Much of the units had it's own separate appearance, and nothing really stood out. Then again, you don't go shopping solely for the purpose of gawking at exterior decorations. Overall, this strip mall serves the purpose of providing retail services to it's patrons. I could say more, but based on the size of the strip mall, this is as long as this review is going to go.

Ahh, this strip mall has been around for a really long time, even longer before I was born in the…read moreextreme early 90s. When I was a little toddler in Garwood, my dad would take me out here just to walk around. There was an "open space" area with visible steel structures where I used to just run around briefly during those times. Today, that "open space" is still there. This strip mall has two anchor stores. Since the early 90s, those anchor stores were Walgreens and Kings. During the 90s, they had some other notable stores that I remember either going into or passed by when I was little. Those stores included Radio Shack, Encore Books (I bet a lot of you during those times remember this store!), Dress Barn, an Eye DR place, a liquor store, and a laundromat. The roof tops on the strip mall were green, and some green circles were visible on some parts of the strip mall as well. The parking lot is huge, and reasonably sized for all of the patrons here. The parking lot is also for patrons only, since they don't like commuters parking for the purpose of boarding trains. In the 90s, the parking area revealed a lot of old, faded parking stripes and designs, which proved that the parking layout was different long before I existed. But fast forward to today, the old parking decals are long gone, and the lot itself is quite smoother than before. Today, the stores that are still in business since the 90s include Kings, Dress Barn, an Eye Dr place (with different name), and a laundromat. Encore Books was gone and the space was probably taken over by Pet Valu. Walgreens moved further down the road, and Crunch Fitness took their former spot, thus making them an anchor. The liquor store got replaced by GNC. The steel structures were covered up in the "open space" area. The roof tops are still green today, as well as the circles, except for the one circle on top of Investors Bank. Not sure why that was painted with a different color. Overall, this strip mall serves the purpose of catering to the patrons in a very small town. I've never had an issue with parking here at all. Walking from one end of the strip mall to the other is pleasant. But be patient when trying to make a left turn into the strip mall from South Avenue as the opposing traffic can be very hectic at times. Cheers!
