It's time for another revamp! Here we go! At least the rating stays the same, though. This mall is located right off of US-1, with access points on Parsonage Road. It is anchored by Macy's and Nordstrom. Other units that could be entered from the exterior included The Cheesecake Factory, Barnes & Noble, and the AMC Dine-In Theater. They have a food court that offered a variety that consisted of grilled and fried foods, burgers, and some international offerings. Plentiful seating was available at the food court. They also have a Rainforest Cafe in a separate part of the mall. This mall had a mix of lower end and higher-end stores. The majority of the stores sold various clothing articles, footwear, purses, and jewelry. Some other stores sold videos games (GameSpot), electronics (Radio Shack, APPLE, Brookstone), holiday cards and gifts (American Greetings), and other merchandise (Spencer's - reviewed separately.). Of course we can't forget about the Disney store (We all know what's in here.), AMC Dine-In Theater (I don't plan on coming here anytime soon.), Godiva chocolate (Overrated - I prefer Lindt.), and the Fortunoff Backyard Store (You oh so fancy, eh? Me thinks not!). When we come here, we usually park by the Nordstrom area. Even though there's parking everywhere throughout the mall, finding a parking spot may be challenging at times. But in the end we either park in front of Nordstrom or on the bottom of a parking deck. Keep in mind if you do plan on catching a movie here, there is a limited parking area right by the theater. We then headed into Barnes & Noble to look around, before heading into the mall. Following that, we walked around the mall to see what was being offered. We usually stop at Disney, Apple, Brookstone, American Greetings, Gamestop, and Spencer's. Sometimes we stop at other places, but that depends on who else comes with us. The Sony store used to be here. It's a shame that it's gone now and was converted to another clothing store. Several years ago, we watched two movies at the theater. At that time it was called the Cineplex Odeon. As of now, we haven't watched anything at the dine-in theater. This mall has two levels. If you were walking from one side to another, you could be done within a reasonable amount of time for each one. The decorations here were quite appealing. Unlike Woodbridge, even though this mall has been around for a long time, there were no signs of aging. They also had a nice water fountain for you to look at (unlike Woodbridge, who got rid of theirs). Finally, they had some nice seating areas with power outlets to support the charging of your electronic devices while you relaxed. This mall does get crowded at times. Just keep that in mind whenever you come here, especially on the weekends. Also, there were times when the escalators were out of service on both sides of the mall. This was kind of annoying. For this, we had to enter either Nordstrom or Macy's, just to utilize their escalator so we could continue walking on the other level. Sure, this mall is a little small, but does a bigger size always mean a better experience? Well, if you want to walk long distance, go to Woodbridge (even though Garden State Plaza is the biggest out of the three). If you care about a good store variety with nice mall decorations without going to the Garden State Plaza, then definitely come here. Overall, a very good mall. read more

This mall is great. Parking can be a challenge on the weekends, but there is easy to find parking overall. I bring the kids here mostly for the Disney indoor playground and the Disney store. Lots of nice stores. You can find almost every other store here. Decently classy and clean. read more

One of my top three favorite malls in New Jersey! This mall is great! It's conveniently located off of the Garden State Parkway. The mall is really clean, isn't as packed as other malls, and you don't get too many teeny boppers as other malls, even on weekends! Although it isn't a huge mall, it has all the stores you need. Menlo has a good mix of stores ranging from Forever 21, Old Navy, Express, BCBGMaxAzria, Apple, Urban Outfitters, Zara, Club Monaco, Abercrombie, Guess, Michael Kors, Pandora, and Armani Exchange. There's also a Macy's and Nordstroms. There's many options to choose from at the food court, ranging from Taco Bell, Wendy's, Chipotle, Champs, Potatopia, Kabuki Sushi, Charlie's Subs, Cajun Grill, and Rainforest Café. The mall is also connected to a Barnes & Nobles, Cheesecake factory, and an AMCLoews Movie Theatre. There's plenty of parking, including ground level covered parking. The only time it gets hectic is around the holidays, but every mall gets like that anyways around that time of year. If you're looking for a pleasant experience while shopping without the aggravation, Menlo Park is the place you're looking for. read more

New Jersey, home to a bunch of shopping franchises in a nice looking big building, where people like us travel to buy a variety of items when we actually went there to purchase item of clothing.......ladies and gentlemen welcome to the ultimate dead trap for your wallet and it is called, "the mall." No, but honestly the Menlo mall is one of my favorite places to shop for a very long time. The interior design of the place is not to shabby and the elevator in the center of the mall make the shopping center quite charming. Of course there is a lot of parking spaces, but we all have to deal with people who choose to be a rude drivers and cause everyone trying to find parking piss offed. It is very clean and honestly that is all I can ask for in a mall. read more

I can remember the original Menlo Park Mall, pre-1990, when it was a just a dark, single-floor structure. I worked at the Gap in the Brunswick Square Mall but would often moonlight in the one here when they were short on help. It was a big deal when they shut it down and constructed the monstrosity you see today. But it was obviously a great investment, because the Menlo Park Mall is arguably one of the best malls in the state. And well, you know how much Jersey prides itself on its malls. (And diners.) But even a nice mall is still a mall to me, and malls mean shopping, and I hate shopping. So technically, I hate malls. But when I do have to shop, typically once per season to buy some new clothes, and of course at Christmas time for our annual "rampage shopping" event, I prefer to shop here. The Menlo Park Mall has just the right blend of stores to cover pretty much anything I could ever need. The food court has a great selection of eats, too. And of course, the food court being anchored by Chammps means I am always just steps away from live sports and a cold beer or three. Things could be worse. Freehold Mall is the only other mall in the Central Jersey area that can give this one a run for its money. But Menlo is closer to me, and I don't like dragging out any shopping event for one minute longer than it absolutely needs to be. So this is my mall when my shopping needs exceed my hatred to shop in actual stores. That's about the nicest thing I can say for a place like this. read more

Best mall for Staten Island people. There are way better options here than the Staten Island Mall and you don't have to drive as far as Short Hills. And they have my favorite store - Nordstrom! The mall is easy to walk through - it's not overcrowded, the floors are carpeted, and it's clean. I've never had an issue with parking or finding any of the stores. This is definitely a good choice when you are looking for a better store selection for dress shopping or anything else. read more

Nice mall, large parking lot, plenty of parking. Clean, spacious mall. Has lots of seating areas through out the mall, including massage chairs. Not crazy crowded, think because its built so nicely. Plenty of vending machines for water and other drinks. Great stores in this mall, they have everything, sneaker stores, department stores, apple, guess, express, macys, a food court with really good options and a AMC Dine-in theater. They also have really good restaurants like Cheesecake factory. Overall this is a mall I would frequent, although I normally like Simon malls. read more

Menlo Park in many ways is the opposite of Woodbridge Center. It is for those who are upper middle class, or at least are trying to appear to be. The Nordstrom's Dept store in the back leaves no question as to who they are trying to attract here. Yet, the same way Woodbridge Center is getting some higher profile stores, Menlo added a Steve & Barry's for the people who can't afford to shop at Nordstrom's or Banana Republic. Almost everything about Menlo screams White Upper Class, even the literally bleached white walls and lighting. Menlo is fairly pricey, but if you look hard enough you can find deals. The pretentiousness in the air is thick though, with both a Sharper Image and an Apple Store being present. I only go there when I want to dress like people I normally would not associate with, but if all of that is your cup of tea, go for it. There is a Payless shoe store and an Old Navy if you're on a budget. Overall, it's a great mall for the hoighty-toighty and those who want to appear so, but if you happen to weigh what normal adults weigh (they only have clothes for the super tiny) I suggest you shop elsewhere. This is ironic, since Menlo features two of the most fattening eateries known to man in close proximity to each other; Cheesecake Factory and ColdStone Creamery. read more

SHOPPING, MOVIES, FINE RESTAURANTS, QUICK EATS, BEAUTY SESH, and MORE! One of my favorite malls in NJ is Menlo Park Mall for 3 main reasons. First, it's very close to my college (Rutgers)! It's always nice and convenient to swing by for a quick birthday gift or missing accessories! Second, it is a decently big mall with EVERYTHING you need or imagine a mall to have! Not only does it have the expected department stores and clothing, shoes, technology, make up, games, and jewelry shops, but they also have lots of restaurants including Pf Changs, Cheesecake Factory, Rainforest Cafe and etc. On top of that, they also have a gym and movie theater! Pretty dope, huh? Third, the ambiance and layout of the mall were very well thought out and well designed! It has a simple, easy to navigate design plan, and comfy seating areas are sprawled throughout the mall for patrons to relax, chill, and/or wait! Additionally, the mall provides FREE WIFI and charging stations! Love this mall!! :) read more

Do people even look at mall reviews..? In the event that anyone does, I guess they should know that this mall is excellent. I don't see any reason not to give it five stars: the facility itself is well kept and clean, the interior walls are largely white and the floor tiles are tastefully presented, there is a great selection of retailers, there's a movie theater with dine in options (which I've never tried, but still a cool idea), and there's plenty of parking. I'm here on a Saturday at 1pm and didn't have a hard time looking. It looks like the owners have done a good job of maintaining and keeping the mall in good condition. I frequented the place when I was a college student at nearby Rutgers, but I haven't been in some time. Now that I've come back after a long hiatus, I can really appreciate the mall for the great shopping center that it is. read more

Ahh, the mall I grew up in. I wish I could give it 3 1/2 stars. You see, it's very cute, but mainly caters to the upper class of Edison. I was crushed the other day when I saw Easy Pickens was closed down. Look, I understand cheaper stores might bring in the wrong crowd, but Forever 21 is just not cutting it! Everything in that store is loose loose loose! I'd kill to have a decent priced junior store in this mall with clothes that actually fit. Ok, not all the stores are expensive. I guess I'm just overwhelmed by all the specailty shoppes that I have no interest in (chocolate, upscale dresses, a sad excuse for a hair salon, etc). I'm also not a fan of the mainstream commercial stores like Old Navy and American Apparel. The ambience is definately a plus, but it can get chaotic on weekends and during the holidays (oops, what mall doesn't? lol). The food choices are plentiful, unless you are the type who prefers food without GMOs. I usually end up grabbing a shake from GNC when I'm desperate to eat. Overall, Menlo is still the best mall in central NJ, especially if class is at the top of your priority list. read more

I quite like this mall. There is a nice range of stores from the typical department stores (Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor etc) to small shops like Lovesac, an alternative furniture store. Most of the stores are attractive and in good order. I rate this mall higher than others because they have many options for dining and entertainment. Cheesecake Factory, Dine-in theater, WOW gym etc. Parking and traffic to the mall can be concerning on busy days. Parking decks offer extra parking. read more

I usually try to avoid malls, but if I had to pick my favorite one in New Jersey, Menlo Park Mall would be it. I don't know why anyone bothers to go to Woodbridge Center Mall when this is right down the road. It's also located right off of Route 1 and, in my opinion, is cleaner, safer, has better stores, and more parking. The Macy's location there is probably the biggest and nicest one in New Jersey. The bathrooms are cleaned pretty regularly throughout the day so you won't find any nasty surprises waiting for you behind closed stall doors. My only major gripe about this mall is that the movie theater is Dine-In. read more

One of my favorite malls. My review might be a bit bias since I'm used to Kings Plaza in Brooklyn and generally, every mall outside of NYC is amazing. Menlo is nice. It's clean. It's huge. It has every store and then some. The food court has all the usual suspects and has as much seating as one could need! On top of the huge array of food court options there's restaurants too (Hello Cheesecake Factory!) I like that Menlo has higher end stores too and multiple department stores. The two floor layout and wide footprint makes it easy to forget you've spent an entire day shopping! If I had a car, I'd probably come to Menlo far more often. :) read more

This is my favorite mall right now. I love that it has a high end side and a low end side, separated by the food court. Head towards the Gap for high end fashion and accessories, the other way is lower end, with few exceptions. The absolute best part of this mall is the dine in theater. I love it so much, and see almost all my movies there. I highly recommend to everyone 21 and older to visit Cinema Suites at least once in their life for waiter service while you enjoy a movie. The parking is ample, the food options are plenty, and the layout is great. The only weird thing about this mall is the Barnes and Noble. You have to go outside to get into the Barnes and Noble, there is no door to it inside the mall. read more

Solid mall with a mixed crowd of families, young adults, teens. It has a lot to offer while you spend your day shopping. During the day time, it gets plenty of light from the skylights. Cheesecake Factory, Fox and the Hound, Ichiumi Barnes Noble Rainforest Cafe in a separate part of the mall. Disney store (We all know what's in here.) AMC Dine-In Theater Lots of parking, parking deck on upper level, but both can be crowded on weekends and holidays during afternoon and early evening hours. Varied food court - Haagen daz, Nathan's, Burger King, chipotle, Asian cuisine, subs, Starbucks, Godiva chocolate. A good amount of seating. I have always found a seat, but not sure how it is all the time. Clothing stores: Pac sun, American Eagle, Forever 21, H&M, Old Navy, Macy's Nordstroms, Delia's, Abercrombie, Express, Brookstone, Guess, Banana Republic Water fountain (decorative). I've seen people linger there. This mall always seems a bit more high end, compared to my local Brunswick Square mall. Maybe it's the stores, or the fact that this place seems cleaner and more modern. Either way, I love coming here, even if I don't go as often as I'd like anymore. read more

Menlo is more my speed. There's a Cheesecake Factory, Banana Republic, Lord & Taylor, and my favorite store in the world---Sharper Image! Don't bother going to Woodbridge if you're in the area. It's a substandard mall. Also, don't bother going to either of these malls unless you happen to be nearby. Head on over to Paramus or Roosevelt Field. Much better shopping experiences. read more

I really like Menlo Park Mall. It's very clean and nice, and they have great stores to shop in. I personally especially love that they have an Urban Outfitters, which is a store that isn't seen often in malls in NJ. They have an ample food court with a lot of different choices, as well as Cheesecake Factory, Havana Central and Rainforest Cafe attached. The parking in the front can be a little difficult, but there's plenty in the back and also a parking deck. This mall is safe, clean, and well-maintained. read more

It's a mall. It has stores. It has food. And it's pretty sweet. If you can't find the store you want here, then drive 5 minutes north to Woodbridge. This mall is "higher end," I would say compared to some others that I've been to in South Jersey. Good food court. And if you don't like the food court, they have tons of chain restaurants attached to it.. Cheesecake Factory, Champs. Barnes and Noble also attached to it, who doesn't love that place!?!? The parking can suck, just like any mall on the weekends, but it's no different. If you need to find something else, you can drive across the street to the Target Greatland! Ask me about 4 months ago how I felt about this mall and I would have told you its great! As of now it's average. All of my favorite stores have moved are gone out of business. BUT they still have "The Cheesecake Factory" wich is a HUGE plus. It's also probably home the smallest Nordstroms I've ever seen. Really nice mall. Way better than EB Square, which is closest to me. It's a decent sized mall. Not too big, where you feel drained at the end of your shopping trip. Lots of good stores to shop in and a good food court! On this visit, the escalators weren't working on both sides of the mall, so we had to take a detour to get back to our car. read more

Love Nordstrom? This is your place. I have been coming to this mall since 2008 and boy has it changed. You where able to find parking right in front of the entrance on a Saturday. Now this place has become very crowded after the amc opened and it doesn't have the classy and sophisticated atmosphere it used to have. I use to compare this store to the Beverly Hills mall, but not no more. This mall it's very crowded, very poor options on the food court, they do have a Cheesecake Factory and the Rainforest restaurant that serves highly priced diner food. I still gave it 3 stars despite the change because they have my favorite store Nordstorm, white and black and BeBe. read more

Menlo Park mall has literally everything you need. It is a big mall, but it's not overwhelming or crowded. I do wish their food court selection was more varied, especially considering how big the mall is. Getting here off of Route 1 is a little scary because the entrance is easy to miss. Such a fantastic mall. Its a nice, clean, small mall with all the best stores and no heavy traffic. There is always close parking, its open 7 days a week. Not a lot of teenagers..! You couldn't have asked for a better mall. I don't think to many people know about it, because even weekends it's never crazy. If your looking for good deals, clean stores, this is the place. They have the biggest Aerie and Zara I've ever seen. They have American Eagle, Old Navy, MAC, Sephora, Macys, Urban Outfitters, Bakers, Godiva, Lindt, Nordstroms, etc. All the popular mid-range stores.. You'll love it here. You can even hit up the movies or Cheesecake Factory afterwards. O and tues they have the fox and hound rest sooooo $2 pints if you need a drink after all that shopping! read more
