I bought a suit here and joined the club so alterations are included. Sign on door says Tailer in store. Went in today for waist alteration. They said turnaround time is 4 weeks!! Not helpful, no alternatives provided. Not sure I will buy another suit here. read more

This is the biggest retail mistake I have ever made. From alterations that were "finished" but the alterations were never done as evidenced by the chalk marks being visible. Now they have lost oneof two jackets. Stay as far away from these Bozos as humanly possible read more

There's a rule in business and life... Don't make your emergency another persons emergency....well I did...and the result is in the review I was in Birmingham for a job, just so happened that a friends wedding was occurring while I was here...I hemmed and hawed about going, didn't have the attire and this was an elaborate affair. I called before going to see if it was remotely possible to get fitted for formal wear....no problem right ? I gave them an hour and 20 minutes from my arrival to when I needed to be seated at the venue 5 miles away... I thankfully spoke with Kyla at the store, when I arrived she was fastening her superwoman cape and tightening up her boots, trying to keep her true identity secret from those around her. It was a whirlwind, I didn't even truly realize what she actually accomplished until I was sitting at the ceremony on time in my seat... It's really hard to express my gratitude for service above and beyond the call of duty, she kept reminding me every time I apologized that this was her job...we are lucky when we run into ANYONE that combines faith, passion, understanding and commitment to excellence when performing their job. EVERYONE at the store was helpful & polite, a sign a great management and expectations at all levels... So Kyla, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being you, your professionalism is at the top of the spectrum, you are amazing performer and the person I would call in any emergency !! read more

I'm a week and a half out from my wedding and I go to pick up my sons tux. When we came in they got his measurements etc and we thought okay cool! (He's almost 20 months and is in a 3t. ) We go today to try it on and it's WAYYYY TOO BIG. WAYYYYY to big. Looks awful. I asked the lady about getting it resized and she asked me what size he was in and I told her she then proceeds to tell me that they don't have rental tux's that small. 1 WHY WAS I NOT TOLD THAT AT OUR FIRST APPT when they literally had him stand there and be sized. FOR A TUX. The lady apologized and told me they've had new people working so they are unsure why I wasn't told this. I am a week and a half out from my big day and now I have to order something off of amazon and hope it fits and hope it gets here in time and looks like my other tux's. Do better. I will be getting a refund that's for sure. read more

Customer service is sub par. I visited this location during my lunch and to their credit, they were somewhat busy...seems that almost every employee was with a customer. However, I walked around for 10+ minutes, only needing 1 'ready-to-wear' item, and not once was I approached and asked if I can be helped or to say someone would be with me shortly. I witnessed 2-3 employees entering/exiting the rear 'employee only' area, but they never spoke. I would have paid top dollar for this item, didn't need to try on, just grab and go - I just couldn't find it. Needed to review, approve and pay for interview attire for someone ur of town, who's being recruited by various firms. I could have looked at the items online but it was too important to leave anything to chance. The salesperson was impressively dressed and I now see why they party had their measurements taken here when they were home for the holidays. He showed me the outfits he had selected and I gave my approval immediately. As long as this is his salesman, I will no longer have to make a trip to review any future purchases. The salesman is outstanding and an impeccable dresser, my son was lucky to find him. I will recommend them to all my friends in this situation. read more

One star is too kind for this store. I purchased a sport coat to wear to a Christmas Eve event for my company. I purchased it a week before the event, and it needed the sleeves altered. I was told it would be ready the day of the event; and sure enough it was. When I got home from picking it up, I tried it on and OMG... who tailored this thing, a drunk 3 year old? The sleeves were the wrong length, crooked, and uneven. The trifecta of idiocy. I immediately brought it back and asked the "manager" for a refund and described the hack job. This twenty something "manager" couldn't really give a flip less about it. No apology, no nothing. At least I didn't have to argue to get my money back though! If you need customer service or alterations, avoid this place like the plague. read more

I want so badly to write an in depth review of my experiences with this store, but it would only infuriate me all over again. The cliffs notes version is that every employee I dealt with at this location took EVERY opportunity to screw up my experience and even the most menial tasks. Originally when entering the store I was ignored for half an hour and once I finally got one of the employees to stop talking to each other and help me, they took twice as long as promised up front, continually missed deadline they set, lied about orders and alterations, charged all of my groomsmen different prices for the same article of clothing, passed the buck, and were just generally completely incompetent. My advice to anyone reading this review and thinking "how bad can they be?" Is RUN. They are THAT BAD. Seriously the worst retail experience of my adult life!! read more

This year was my first prom experience, and our school had been advertising for Men's Wearhouse, so I decided to give them a try. Service was very helpful and newbie-friendly, and got me fitted for a tux in no time. A few weeks later, today, I went to pick it up and it fit perfectly. I was driving to the store and was going to arrive a couple minutes before closing, so I called ahead and an employee was gracious enough to keep the doors open so I could try on and purchase the tux. He also gave me some pointers and tips on how to wear/clean/iron the tux and was overall very friendly. In short, I will definitely shop at Men's Wearhouse for next prom. read more

I shop here for all my formal clothing and never had a problem. I'm always greeted at the door with someone to help me, and this past week on black Friday I got some really good deals from Hakim. While you could get similar stuff from kohl's or Belk, you won't get the attention like you do here. read more

This location of Men's Wearhouse has some awesome employees! We ordered a rental suit at another location and THEY messed up our order and sent it to the wrong place, but when we showed up at the Hwy 280 location, Katie was incredibly helpful and got us the correct suit and even tie in time for wedding pictures. She even gave us a discount for the other store's mistake, which was great. Definitely would recommend this location of Men's Wearhouse! read more

There are far too many things wrong with this store. Where do I begin? I'd give zero stars for this particular location, but 1. you can't give 0 stars on yelp, and 2. we did actually have a good experience renting our wedding tuxes with one of the managers Homer (who is the only competent employee here, so I give a star to Homer. And well, we didn't actually pick up the wedding tuxes at this location, just placed the order, but I'm pretty sure if we did get them from here something would've gone wrong.) but everything else we have tried to do at this store was a complete fail. My husband ordered a couple suits and two pairs of pants to get alterations done. They completely wonked up the alterations and made the suit look like a baggy potato sack. We actually did extensive research on how men's suits should fit and the finished product didn't turn out to look anything like the books. Not only were the alterations terrible but they weren't completed on time. Something about the pants not being shipped on time, but they were smart on their part and gave us a phone call to tell us it wasn't ready when they said it would be. After the messed up all the alterations my husband went back for a second fitting to have them fix the problem. The first suit was completed in a timely manner and turned out exactly how he wanted it to be. They told him to come back the next Saturday and the other suit and two pairs of pants would be done by then. This is where things get screwy. The second suit's alterations were completely off, and it seemed like no one had touched them. Pair of pants #1 were even longer and baggier than the pants on the suit, like they definitely were not touched or tailored whatsoever. They were too long by a good 4-5 inches and too baggy in the waist. ON TOP OF ALL THIS PAIR OF PANTS #2 WAS NOT DONE AND NO ONE HAD CALLED OR INFORMED US THEY WERE NOT READY. They said the tailor had left for the day. SO WE HAD DRIVEN AN HOUR TO GO TO THIS STORE TO PICK UP NOTHING BECAUSE ALL THE ALTERATIONS WERE WRONG AND THE ORDER WASN'T EVEN COMPLETED. It is very very very clear that some managers in here are not doing their jobs correctly. I came here on a Saturday night - the store was a mess. There were ties and handkerchiefs not hung up, hangers not spaced evenly apart, the phone was ringing of the hook and no one was picking it up, and all the employees were either watching TV and I believe the manager was outside on his cell phone. It is clear that the tailors, or at least one of them doesn't have a brain and is completely incompetent. I understand that these people are most likely overworked or underpaid but it is such a disappointment to receive poor customer service in our economy because there are plenty of people who are more intelligent and harder working that can't find jobs because schmucks like the people at Men's Wearhouse are getting paid to watch TV, talk on their cell phones, and leave work before getting their jobs done. This store is a joke and it is pathetic. We will never ever be back again. *UPDATE* We came back the third time to pick up suits again. They were supposed to be done may 14 and we went back on like June 7. No one called us to say they were do e or not done. So it's after Christmas and what should all the retail stores be expecting? Returns of course! So my husband received several nice sweaters and shoes from his family from Men's Wearhouse. None of them were really his style and he wanted to go back and exchange them. Well he popped into the store on 280 and received the most rude customer service experience ever. After looking through the store, he realized there wasn't really anything he liked so he'd just get store credit and come back when new merchandise came in. The Manager on duty, had the nerve to ask isn't he always in the store returning items! He also was giving him such a hard time with the return because he didn't have the gift receipt! My bf doesn't even shop in that location and is not in the habit of making returns! His family spent a lot of $$ in that store and it's not like he got cash back, he's getting store credit with the intention of making purchases in the future! 280 store just lost some business, I understand some people abuse the system but don't take it out on all your customers! read more

I was beyond disappointed with this store when we got our suits here for our wedding. To start off this whole ordeal they didn't have a navy suit that we could rent (I understand thats a corporate issue) so we had to buy suits and rent all the rest of the attire! Which turned out to be a complete nightmare! So fast forward to the week before our wedding I called just to make sure that everything was correct and they couldn't even find me in there computer system, which if you're a bride you understand when I say I completely freaked out! So I go up the store the next day, and they finally found our orders after about an hour! Now two days before our wedding it was time to pick up our suits, and we pull up to the store and there is a red sign that states, "IF YOURE PICKING UP RENTAL SUITS OR PURCHASING A SUIT COME BACK LATER." Completely sent me over the edge... I walked/ran in and apparently Men's Warehouses computers systems went down nationwide!! (Which again I understand that this could not be controlled) But the workers handled it terribly! And now as if this couldn't get any worse the day of our wedding all the groommens are getting ready and one of them DONT HAVE A SUIT in there bag, and the nearest Men's Warehouse was two hours away! We got no apologies, and I think they could have handle this situation a lot better! read more

This was possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We got our suits here for a wedding, and from the very beginning it was a nightmare. To get anything done correctly, I had to double and triple check that measurements were kept and suits were altered. I would say that it might be worth going here for the cheap price, but the quality of suits and service are still far below what you pay for. read more

STAY AWAY!! This place takes customer service and respect to a new low. Purchased a jacket to wear IN MY OWN WEDDING, was promised to have it in 2 days . . . delayed going out of town just to get the jacket and it wasn't ready. Had a bunch of items ordered for possible purchase; was told they'd be in on Wednesday and to just come on in. Thought better of it and called, no sign of them. Called back on Friday, the items had been there for days. The Assistant Manager tells me "sorry, I work with a bunch of idiots". He then tries to sell me a jacket that's not even close to fitting in the shoulders and tells me "I can just get it altered". Anyone who knows anything about jackets knows if the shoulders don't fit, the jacket doesn't fit. Tried to order even more items to exchange for a jacket I'd gotten, can't even get the AM to call me back after he again blamed the "part-timers" that work for him. DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. They should either close this branch or fire everyone and start over. read more
