I was measured and fitted for a tuxedo on March 30 and was scheduled to pick it up on May 27. When I arrived at the Danbury store at approximately 5:00 p.m. on May 27, I was told that my tuxedo had not arrived. Since I was leaving town the next day for my son's wedding, I called the store again on May 28. They still did not have it. I asked if the tuxedo could be shipped directly to the hotel where the wedding was being held, and the store agreed. On May 29, while checking with the hotel about the shipment, I received a text message from the store stating that my tuxedo was ready for pickup. I called to verify and was told that my tuxedo was indeed at the store. The package sent to the hotel arrived later that day. Because of wedding events and the rehearsal dinner that evening, I did not open it until the morning of the wedding. Unfortunately, it was not the tuxedo I had ordered and it did not fit. After learning that my actual tuxedo was still at the store, I requested that it be shipped overnight to another address. I was assured it would arrive before the wedding. Instead, it arrived later that afternoon, after the wedding photos had been taken and the ceremony had already begun. In the end, I received two tuxedos, neither of which I was able to wear. I returned both and was ultimately given a refund. This experience was deeply disappointing given the importance of the occasion. This was my son's wedding day--a once-in-a-lifetime event for our family. Unlike many other situations, there was no opportunity to reschedule, repeat the day, or recreate the moments that were missed. The wedding photos will last a lifetime, and unfortunately they serve as a lasting reminder of what should have been a simple and reliable part of the day. For customers renting attire for a wedding or other time-sensitive event, reliability is just as important as fit. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage having a backup plan in place well before the event. read more

OK, so I go in there for tuxedo first jacket was a little tight after measuring me. The second jacket was perfect. The shirt was perfect. The shoes they gave me were perfect. The pants we had to order he said come in a week and it did come in in a week and I didn't have to get them altered. Everything was perfect. Thank you very much. Had gone two weeks earlier and ordered a suit, several slacks and jeans with salesmen Lucas. Came back yesterday to pickup up all and was helped by salesman Jimmy. Also brought a suit and some slacks to be altered. Again great service made easy by Jimmy. Here is an amazing coincidence-Lucas and Jimmy grew up together and are best friends. As per other reviews from 1-5 years ago the staff definitely changed. I've been in this store multiple times and been treated better then any other formalwear store. The guys inside always have a smile on and willing to help. So much so that I booked my wedding suit rentals, made sure my brothers wedding suit rentals will be from there and my cousins. There system is flawless and can't beat the price. Ive purchased formalwear from there anything from pants to a sport coat. There quality is great for the prices! Wedding is coming up in April. With time running out, I decided to take a trip to the Danbury Mall and finalize my tux. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately. I told them what I was there for, first thing they did was congratulate me. They proceeded to ask all the important details. We walked to the back where I was shown a variety of tux's. I was passed off to Richard who did an amazing job. He went over color schemes and styles. My fiancé showed him a pic of her dress. He helped match the shirt color to ensure the focus would stay on her. He took the time to go over all the details and give suggestions. It was a lot easier than I anticipated and spent less than I thought it would cost. Convenient pick up and drop off locations are located near the venue. Their website allows for anyone who needed a tux to easily coordinate without being there. I'm glad this was taken care of and with ease. One less thing to worry about for the big day. read more

To begin, I hate shopping. I purchased a suit, shirts and a tie at the Men's Warehouse at the Danbury Fair Mall. The initial purchase and marking for alterations went well. The pick-up and additional purchases also went well. The assistance from staff members was superb. And the selections needed were available. I'd like to start off by saying my first fitting suit was from heat many years ago and have gotten many suits here since. You see that one star and I'll tell you why I'll never come here again. I'm getting married. I'm thinking I'll go the the place I've gotten every other suit I've owned. Not only cause they've been great in the past but we have wedding party members all over the state and in Florida. I walk in and talk to someone standing by the door and tell them I need to set up whatever to get the ball rolling on the suits. I'm buying the suits for my groomsmen and we're renting suits for our fathers and kids. I was told I needed an appointment and the bride needed to be there. Already not off to a great start. I make an appointment for the Avon location for me and the bride to go to. We had to wait when we got there as they were helping other people. So first I walk into the Danbury location and can't be helped because no appointment and now walk into the Avon location and have to wait for my appointment... wtf? Finally get seen and they start talking to the bride. She flat out tells them "I'm only here cause I was told I needed to be. He has full control of what the guys are wearing". They still ask her questions and ignore me until she leaves. Finally get all my guys into the system. Set up everything. For some reason I can't buy the suits. They have to put the stuff on gift cards. Weird. Whatever. We do that and leave. I call up the Danbury location. Want to get me and my 3 guys in to get measured for the suits and make sure everything is good and paid for. They tell me they can't do that and everyone needs to come in when they can by themselves. Wtf? One of my guys wasnt ok with that and dealt with them and got an appointment for the 4 of us a month later. One of my guys forgets he's in a wedding that day so goes to get measured by himself. No biggy. The 3 of us go. I went way early as I got a custom tux. It was in by the time of the appointment so we did the tailor measurements then. My best man and another groomsmen got measured at that time as well. All seems well except for the fact they had to order everything for them. They had no suits in my groomsmen sizes. Weird. Never had that happen. Always had suits there and ready. We leave. Groomsmen 1 and 2 get suits in 2-3 weeks later. Best man nothing. Keeps calling. No suit. No suit. 6 weeks after they finally tell him that there's no suit cause nobody ordered it.... what the actual fuck!!! Not only that they don't have his measurements to even order it. I call up asking for an update. Nobody's information was entered into our group number. So they say "they all need to come in and get measured still". No the fuck they don't!!! They input all their measurements by their own individual accounts. Except for the best man who they have nothing for. They even lie to me and tell me he was never in to get measured. I inform them that he was there cause I was there with him... Go to the Avon location to get my kids measured for the rentals. Less than 2 months away but they're visiting their aunt for a while and I wanted to get it done. They shouldn't grow any lol. While I'm there I noticed the kids aren't getting vests in the rental. I wanted them in vests. The person I was dealing with leaves to "get something" then I get a text from my fiancé cause she got a phone call from mens warehouse making sure it was ok for the kids to be in vests.... bruh, even if the bride didn't want that you could just take them off for the photos. I finish up my wardrobe there with shoes and a shirt. Surprise!! They have to order them. At least they got shipped to the house. Shirt comes in and the neck is too tight and the shirt has black stains. Gotta return it Since we're doing a cake testing we figure we'd do it then at the Danbury one. I tell my other groomsman who has yet to check his suit is even right lol. He Mets us there. Walks out and he's holding his pants up. They're huge. I'm thinking "maybe those are the best mans pants!!" Call him up. He's a 38. Slightly bigger than the current groomsmen wearing them now. Those pants he's wearing now are a 44.... some big dude gonna be pissed cause we somehow ended up with his pants. They screwed up yet again. Swapped out the shirt with no problems though. Forgot to mention. Our 10am appointment for all the groomsmen to get measured. First appointment. Right when the store opens. You guessed it. We were not seen right away and had to wait. One star because zero stars is not an option... Just participated in a wedding where Men's Wearhouse screwed up 9 of the 12 tuxedos. Not in a little way either. For example, some of the pants were 4 to 5 inches short! And some of the shirts were wrinkled and had collar rings and looked like they had not been laundered. How can they make errors with 9 of the 12 tuxedos??? Run far and fast from this store/franchise!. read more

I went in to get fitted for my suit and the sales person lost interest as soon as he found out I was not planning to buy. He passed it off to another sales person who had zero interest as well. Literally one of the worst buying experiences I've ever had. Our wedding party was rushed through the all sizing. The suits fit terrible. The jackets were too big and short on the arms. Horrific customer service. They also expected us to return the suit the day after the wedding (which was a destination wedding). They charge 20 dollars A DAY in late fee's. My experience was not the best throughout this entire process. We used both the men's warehouse in Middletown NY and Danbury CT. My husband and his best man went in to get fitted and pick out the tuxedos we wanted for our wedding nice and early. We picked the Vera wang navy blue for the party and the grey Vera for the dads. Everything started off great until we received a call saying the Vera is being discontinued. Which is a shock since we were already fitted and picked them. The manager from the Middletown store was helpful and told us that the navy blue tux comes in another designer all the same but if we wanted the dads to stay in the Vera we had to have them fitted by a certain timeframe. The dads both go in to get fitted before that deadline, my father in law had no issues but my dad who went into the Danbury store was initially turned away because he was told that the labels are just changed and he cannot get the tux we wanted. I called the manger who told me that I can still get the Vera and we eventually got my dad fitted. Fast forward a couple of months to where we are maybe two months out from my wedding day where men's warehouse calls me to verify all of the information. We go through the list everything is good until we get to my dad once again. They have in a different designer again! I have to reiterate no he's not wearing that we specifically picked the Vera had him get fitted early to lock him in. The response I kept getting was it's the same but they just switch the labels. How do you just switch the labels on a tux? It's two different designers they are going to be different in some way. I call them again the next month to verify all the information everything seems to be correct then. I was told that they are guaranteed to come in two days before the wedding date. Which in my mind is crazy, what happens if something doesn't fit? Do they have extras to fix it? We were assured that since they got fitted and if no one changes shape or goes up or down 10lbs they would be fine. The grooms tux came 3 days before everyone's else came two days before. When The best man his brother tried on his tux it was enormous the only thing that fit was the shoes and the pants and they were still big. The response that he got was oh it's adjustable but they were wayy to big to be adjusted and look right. So they had to reorder a new tux for him and they couldn't even overnight it. It literally came in the day of our wedding which is so nerve racking since we wouldn't know if it would fit either. My dad finally had the right designer but his shirt was too short in the sleeves, another groomsmen's shoes were two sizes too big and my father in laws pants and jacket were too short. Even my husbands son's pants were broken the button literally fell off as they were putting it on for the first time. We had to safety pin it together. This is an important day for us and this was the worst experience. Please don't just tell someone that you just change the labels on a tux or it'll be fine they are adjustable. This is an important day for people we want to be treated with some respect. I honestly will not be recommending this service again just due to the quality of customer care. read more

Visited the store yesterday and was very disappointed. I was looking at suits on the rack and two sales people were polite by saying excuse me so they could get by... but they didn't say anything else. I would expect that they would say, Someone will be with you in a few minutes or what are you looking for so I can point you in the direction? There were only three other customers in the store. No wonder the store was nearly empty on a Saturday during the Christmas shopping season. I am going to give their sister store Jos A Bank today. I will start by saying there are a few employees in this store who seem to care whether you are happy with your experience, so if you end up here I hope they are working when you do. My recent experience could not have been more disappointing. My family recently bought four custom suits here for my brothers wedding. After having the suits tailored went back to pick them up and got home to find they had failed to put the vest in with my suit. Went back got it not even an half assed apology for the inconvenience, no big deal. We had signed up for their reward program and went back to use the acquired points for a discount on shoes. Tried on my size and was told the left shoe was the display shoe. Was told to grab it off the wall by a salesman who was making us feel like we were a major inconvenience to him. When we checked out and asked to use the rewards points he tried to talk us out of it saying that they wouldn't make any money if we did. IT'S YOUR REWARD PROGRAM! When I got dressed for my brothers wedding I found the tailoring of the suit to rather mediocre. The real problem came when I put the shoes on. TWO RIGHT FEET. An hour before my brothers wedding I found myself scrambling to find a shoe store, get shoes and get back to the wedding. (For those of you following the drama I made it). So upon returning home from the wedding I went to return my two right shoes to Danbury's Men's Warehouse. Again no apology, I was helped by sale representatives who did not care, that because of their apathetic customer service, I nearly had to stand up at my brothers wedding in sneakers. I am now left with a suit I likely won't ever wear again due to it being I'll fitting and an experience that will keep me from ever using this business again. The wedding was beautiful though. It was about that time in my husband's life when he needed to have not just the professional look, but a sleek and stunning professional look. Always wanted to go to the Men's Wearhouse to see what they had to fit his personality and style; and I can truly say, our visit to the store that day met every expectation we had and the level of service was beyond excellent. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and on point. I'm a control freak, and when our client rep introduced us to the store manager, Simone Pirre, she greeted us with warmth and once she started talking, we knew we were in for a great experience, and for the first time in over 9 years of marriage, I made another woman choose my husband's clothes and I didn't make any changes or adjustments. This lady is qualified and knows fashion, trends, body shape, what works for you personally. She's patient and we felt comfortable, and well taken care of. The discounts are great too. If you want to look, fashionable, suave, well dressed, professionally styled, id recommend this store. Its my first time and I'm blown away. Money well spent!! Ps. My fiance came here to get fitted for a wedding which we attended this weekend. We picked up the actual tux from a different location (in the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall) and it was a disaster. He's a 6'5 guy, pretty thin and they ordered him a medium vest. The vest was so short that it not only didn't cover the belt, it also showed some of his white shirt. The shirt sleeves also weren't long enough, but at least they had a back-up in the store. When I saw the fit of the vest, I asked the sales attendant what she can do. Do you have any "tall" vests in the store? Does another store carry a tall? Do you have any for purchase? Nothing. "Nothing we can do," she said. This obviously wasn't her fault but that of of whoever did the measuring. Ordering regular length for a 6'5 guy? I don't understand. My fiance, in the end, ended up switching his medium vest with another groomsman's large, which was a tad longer. (The large was too big on the groomsman - clearly another measuring mistake). We were told that we should have came on Thursday, not Saturday to pick up the tux so they could have had enough time to order anything new. However, people get married at various locations and expecting someone to come upstate, let's say, on a random Thursday, is unrealistic. Also expecting someone to get the tux shipped to their home location, then lugging it with them is also unrealistic. When we were in the parking lot, we saw a couple that just got married. We asked them whether they also had issues and they that buttons fell off of 3 of their tuxes, including the groom's tux. We're going with Jos. A Bank for our wedding (which isn't the best either, according to Yelp, but one can only hope). From what I've seen, this isn't the only Men's Warehouse with negative reviews. Please, MWH, as you're one of the only two large tuxedo rental businesses in the area, step your game up. My fiance did not like the way he looked, so maybe you shouldn't have guaranteed it. read more

I called the store looking for help in finding an item my husband purchased and sadly had the jacket stolen within 24 hours! Macs answered the phone and helped me track down the jacket and right size at another store. He shipped it to his store which was closest one for me to pick up at. AVOID. Please, if you value your time and your wedding, do not come to this location. I made a Saturday evening appointment earlier in the week. When I walked in and found someone, I told him I was here for my appointment and he looked so confused, and like they had no idea an appointment was coming in. To keep it short, this man was either new or had absolutely NO IDEA what he was doing. He was down right Unknowledgeable. When fitting my fiancé for a tux he would leave us several times for 5-10 minutes at a time. He did not size Him correctly, and had a hard time finding different sizes for us. When my fiancé said the shirt was too tight, the consultant gave sort of an attitude when he had to go get a larger size. He would only put him in slim fit clothes. My fiancé is not a slim man. This place is a SUIT AND PANTS STORE that's literally what they sell, how do you claim to have no regulars sizes? He told us there were no regulars throughout the store, then Five minutes later, another employee had NO PROBLEM bringing us regular sized pants from the back. When he was fitting his pants, we were concerned about the length, I asked his professional opinion on where the pant should fall on the heel and the shoe, he had no answer for me, instead he asked me what I thought. I said I had no idea and wanted a professional opinion, that's why I asked. This man had no idea about the different colors, I would ask about specific colors (iris, wisteria) and he could not point them out to me. I asked him about different gray accessories and he said "oh the color you want would look similar to this one"..I didn't want to see what gray would look SIMILAR I needed to see the color, all grays are similar... After another employee was witnessing this, she came over and showed the man exactly what I was looking for, a bunch of vest and tie swatches with the exact color I needed. My fiancé went to a manager during this to ask if we could have someone else to work with because he had no idea what he was doing, and the manager gave us an attitude and didn't even have the nerve to come over to see how everything was going. After all this (and more...I've already written enough) all I wanted was for everything to be on file in the computer, the man told us we had to give 40$ for secure the rental. There was no way in hell I was going to give my business to this store and to this awful consultant who had no idea what he was doing. Id rather travel somewhere else to get someone who is kind, inviting, and knowledgeable and will have me leaving the store trusting them that everything will be right. All in all, this store is understaffed, uninviting, maybe you'll get a better experience with a different consultant, but honestly from the other reviews I wouldn't risk coming here. I want to start off by saying its only a one star because I needed to choose one. I am the groom and I had 10 rentals for my wedding including myself. the measurement day went fine or so I thought. we were all told to pick up the tux two days before the wedding, which I thought was close to the wedding with no time to get anything fixed if need be. the day of the measurements I showed the guys a picture of a set of pants that I did not want mine to look like. the guys laughed and said don't worry the pants don't come like that. I also asked if they had slim fit they said yea but we decide depending on the persons sizeno problem. the day comes to pick up the tuxs and everything was wrong. My tux was exactly how the. picture I had showed them that I didn't want. My pants were like ballons everything was exactly the way I didn't want it. I did not take the tux and the customer service was terrible.They kept offering to give me my rental for free, which it was already free. Then they tell me that they don't make the size I need in slim fit as rental. The store left the young kid to try to do everything himself while the manager or whoever he was was just standing at the front of the store. after I didn't take the tux I went to JOS A. BANK and was treated with the respect that everyone should be getting. three other people tried on there tux, one being the brides dad. and of course another mess up. they measured wrong on the vest and it did not fit him. they told him that he would possibly have to change his color because again being only two days away from the wedding they might not have had time to get another size. he then had to go on Friday the day of the wedding at 10 o clock to pick up his vest, when he had to be at the church by 1. ok we thought everything was ok then, but again we were wrong, my cousin came in from florida and his tux too was messed up. his shirt arms were to short, so again the day of the wedding he was late for grooms men photos because he had to go at 10 o clock to find a new shirt for himself. then my other cousin in my wedding party puts his vest on and its to big and we notice while taking photos that he had a completely different jacket then the rest of the groomsmen. like how do you mess that up. he was embaressed to be in the photos because he thought he was messing them up by not matching. this was the worse experience I've ever had anywhere I have been before. and I would never shop at a men's warehouse again.
