I love how everything is color coded and wish more stores would organize like this. Every employee I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I did notice that they were diligently interactive with me after I picked up a $100 blouse- as they should be on a busy Saturday! But I really appreciated the small talk and direction from Randie, who gave me the brief on where to find everything, and the brief on the sister store Nextdoor. This store is a bit out of my way, but now knowing what they carry I definitely see myself returning here when I am feeling like I want to treat myself. As I am someone who prides in ensuring clothes don't go to landfill and trying to reuse or recycle as much as I can (I shop thrift a lot) I was very pleased to see that they take overflow items from designers. My only bummers were when I got home, the nice gentleman at the register unfortunately left one of the security tags on a sweater, leaving me to figure out how to break it off. It happens, but gosh dang! And then the same sweater had a bit of a small but obvious stain on it. And while I know it's already deeply discounted, it wasn't in the clearance section. So when I asked if they might consider anything additional on the top, he kindly explained how the store handles stuff like this and that basically there is a waiting period of it doesn't sell. Odd, but I'm sure it helps them profit, so I understand. Overall, I'll be back! What a great local spot!

Even though I moved back into the Eagan area several years ago, I had been going to the same tailor…read more~40 minutes away for alterations. When I had a ballroom dance costume I needed altered, I decided to try Vic's. The staff were helpful. They told me to purchase the fabric I wanted to use for the insert in my dress to give myself a little more coverage. They gave me a quote on the price of the work beforehand. I came back a few days later with my fabric, dress, and a pair of pants I wanted to get hemmed. I was quoted $18 for the basic hem and $45 for the insert because a lot of it had to be hand-sewn due to the many rhinestones on it. They asked when I needed my garments by. I said no rush - I needed the dress in a few months. They told me I could pick up in a week and had me pay for the whole thing up front. I picked up a week later and everything was done very well and met my expectations. I was especially happy that my ballroom dance costume turned out well. I'm sure I will be back for additional alterations.
