I had a really positive experience here a few months back getting my eyebrows laminated for the first time with Michelle, the owner, and I decided to get powder ombre for my eyebrows with a jr brow artist. I reached out to Alisha and from the moment I messaged her, to meeting her, and through our follow-up conversations, I've felt incredibly comfortable and cared for. Alisha took the time to answer my questions and reassure me since I was initially a little nervous and hesitant. The brow appointment took 4 hours since she is newer, but I was appreciative of her attention to detail and her dedication to making my eyebrows look perfect. Alisha would keep finding small things or details about my eyebrows that she wanted to fix or make even more symmetrical. I am so impressed and thankful for her work. I don't have enough words to express how much I love Meraki. I have been coming to Meraki for lash extensions since November 2018 (when they were still at their Kingsway location) and since then, I refuse to go anywhere else. Their new studio on Burlington is absolutely gorgeous. It's spacious, girly, and cozy. On top of lash services, they offer brow and nail services as well. I've been seeing Jess since day 1 and she is fantastic. I always do a volume set and since I've been seeing her for so long now, she knows the length, style, and amount of volume that I like to a tee. I've never been disappointed by a set from her. My lashes usually last 3-4 weeks (sometimes 5 weeks) before I need to get a fill, which says a lot because in the past my lashes never lasted more than 2 weeks from other studios. One of my favourite things about Meraki (besides walking away with gorgeous fluffy lashes) is the family atmosphere. All the technicians are so talented, friendly, and funny. There is always good music playing in the background, which is a plus when you're laying there for 2 hours. I genuinely enjoy coming to get my lashes done because I find it extremely therapeutic. I mean, you get good music, great conversation, fluffy lashes, and potentially a nap while you're there? Win win, in my opinion. Since coming to Meraki, I constantly get compliments on my lashes and I'll always send them here. For as long as I'm in Vancouver, Meraki will be my go-to lash spot. read more

This place is amazing!! I used to get my lashes done here by Felicia and she always did an incredible job. They held on really well and my fills were fairly short. I stopped going because I lost my job and couldn't afford it. BUT I highly recommend this place as they all are passionate about what they do and they always do a great job! I just got microblading done by Thao and I love what she did with my eyebrows. She took them from barely noticeable to finally having an expression! I've noticed that they've faded a bit since my initial appointment but that's why they offer the free touch up. I can't wait to see her to get my touch up done! She did an amazing job! read more

I don't typically do reviews, but after my experience here I felt compelled to. I chose this place because it was close to my house and I have regretted that decision since. We started my appointment and it was going well, until the end. She glued my eye shut and for 15-20 minutes tried to pry it open which was super painful and uncomfortable, fast forward to last week I had a fill done by my regular artist who recommended I get the entire set removed due to the clumps of lashes stuck to fans, and the lack of isolation. read more

LOVE MY BROWS BY MICHELLE! Michelle did a fantastic job on my ombre brows! This was my first time getting my brows done. Michelle was super personable and explained everything throughout the process. First, she consulted with me on my skin type and desired brow shape. She plotted the shape and confirmed that I was happy before proceeding. Before applying the numbing cream, she started on the outline. This part was a bit uncomfortable and slightly painful - my eyes started to tear up! However, it was pretty quick and she applied the numbing cream afterwards to finish the procedure (I didn't feel a thing once the numbing cream was applied!) The healing process went smoothly. Use a thin layer of the provided ointment religiously (every day), people!! I started to peel around day 5 (it wasn't pretty, but stay patient). It's been over a week and half and my brows have fully shed. They are now a full shade lighter, look so natural and are AMAZING! I love not having to draw on my brows everyday #firstworldproblems I have received so many comments on my brows already! Highly recommended. read more

I had been delaying getting my brows done for years but I always had Meraki on my mind. I specifically wanted Michelle as I was just always in awe with her work. When I finally decided to come in, the whole experience was just great. I had been going through a particularly rough time, I was even thinking to cancel the appointment. However I'm glad I didn't. Michelle is so warm and genuine. She could sense that I was down, she was so sweet and truly made me feel valued and comfortable. I have been waiting years to get my brows done by Michelle. My old micro bladed brows turned red and I had to do four laser tattoo removal sessions to lighten them enough to get them redone. I got the combination brows done with Michelle and I loved everything -- from her flexibility with scheduling, bubblyness (she's SO charming), and of course, the final result! To begin with, I rescheduled an appointment back in December to now (after getting nerve damage from my wisdom teeth removal and getting thoroughly spooked out with any surgical procedures). I did this directly through DMing Michelle on Instagram and she was incredibly accommodating, rescheduled within minutes and took the stress off me. On the day of, she was extremely thorough with the whole process. She took the time to explain every part of the process to me, making the experience a lot more predictable -- it was comforting. She was also very very careful with cleaning everything, every surface you touched was cleaned right then and there. She took the time to understand why I was doing this. I've had a scar on my right eyebrow since I was a little kid and despite it not being a massive insecurity, anything that could make my brows look nicer would be a win for me -- a luxury that I can now more comfortably afford as I'm older. The procedure started with her mapping out my eyebrows and showing me what it would look like roughly in the end. She told me to show her a picture of how I normally fill my brows in and continuously iterated on the brows until I was 100% in love with them. She then outlined my brows with the needles, but it felt just like getting my brows threaded. She put on numbing cream and the rest of the process was pain free. She didn't let me leave until I was ecstatic about the final look. She also reassured me that anything I wasn't completely sure about could be left till we did our touch up (which we scheduled for 6 weeks from now before leaving), this took the pressure off of having to get everything perfect the first time. For anyone who is on the fence about getting this done, here are some things that helped me: 1. It doesn't hurt anything more than getting a few scratches, I promise 2. You don't have to choose the right option (powder, ombre, microblading etc) when you book online -- I didn't know what the they meant but Michelle was able to give me a recommendation right away. Just book a slot and show up! 3. I spent countless hours scrolling through their Instagram and I never found a picture that I LOVED -- I loved Michelle's style and liked a lot of her work, but none of them were my eyebrows / face hence they all felt... off. But when I actually got them done, the brows were shaped to fit my face and how I liked them! So don't worry if you're in the same boat! (Tip: I've tried booking an appointment with Michelle passively for a while before realizing I won't be able to snatch a spot, without setting a reminder to log on right when her schedule opens up.
