No isolation of my actual eyelash = my natural lash can't shed naturally, which causes discomfort and irritation
    Catherine L.

I don't typically do reviews, but after my experience here I felt compelled to. I chose this place because it was close to my house and I have regretted that decision since. We started my appointment and it was going well, until the end. She glued my eye shut and for 15-20 minutes tried to pry it open which was super painful and uncomfortable, fast forward to last week I had a fill done by my regular artist who recommended I get the entire set removed due to the clumps of lashes stuck to fans, and the lack of isolation.

    Healed brows
    Tracey O.

I have been waiting years to get my brows done by Michelle. My old micro bladed brows turned red and I had to do four laser tattoo removal sessions to lighten them enough to get them redone. After all those sessions I really did my research and wanted to do my brows with someone reputable and professional. The appointment went so smoothly - during the procedure it didn't even hurt.. i was so shocked because my prior sessions were so painful. Michelle is friendly, sweet, and genuine about giving you the best brows! I could tell she was a perfectionist and an expert at her craft. My brows healed amazingly and I'm so in love with them. Thanks Michelle for my beautiful new brows!

I must say I am impressed with the products, tools and services. Plus You may book your appointment by calling them at 604-559-8059 or book online at https://blissfulbeautylounge.as.me/schedule.php Booking an appointment is so easy! Blissful uses non-toxic products that don't sting your nose nor gives you headache and can sometimes irritate your skin. The nail technicians are all friendly and they know what they're doing. I was told that they never reuse their foot scrubs. This is very important to me and I guess to everyone. You don't want to be using the same scrubs other people used. I did both manicure and pedicure and both times I'm very satisfied. This place is highly recommended.

I was a regular customer of Kai and was really sad that the previous owner decided to sell. However, after visiting Blissful, I'm glad that they retained the standards and services that sets this place apart from your typical nail salons. Love love love this place -- very clean and sanitized. The interior is clean, airy and relaxing plus they use tools, equipment and polishes that aren't typically found in other places -- case in point: they use an autoclave to sanitize their tools. Prices for their services might be a few dollars higher but you're paying for top notch products and services. They use Ativo products (oils, scrubs, lotions, etc) which are amazing plus Akentz gel polish that are super durable and wonderful! My nails have improved a lot and I can grow them super long after regularly coming here. For my first visit since the place changed ownership, my nail tech was Judy. She was very pleasant and knew her craft. Her hands were light and she cleaned my nail beds really well. She took her time and was not rushing to finish which was great. I decided to forgo gel nails this time around since my nails constantly had gel for almost a year. I appreciated the fact that she wasn't pushing me to use gel polish this time around. Also, thank you for suggesting we put gel overlay on two nails with breakage (skiing related nail breakage) so that I won't feel pain as it grows out. We also chatted for a bit about how they plan to continue what Kai has started and I told her that I'm very happy to hear that because this place is one of a kind. I look forward to coming back again after a few weeks and get gel nail art from them as they've posted really pretty ones on their social media accounts.

Paige is the best! She did my Relaxation Massage and it is indeed relaxing!…read more I happen to be recovering from some type of flu virus. I decided to do hot yoga that day at 9:30 am. Although yoga helped making me feel better, I decided to go for a massage. I was trying my luck that day to get accommodated without reservation. I walked in, was greeted by the lovely receptionist and asked how she can help me. I told her I wanted a massage. She checked her computer and luckily I only have to wait 1 hour. This Eccotique branch is conveniently located inside Metrotown mall. I could definitely spend 1 hour window shopping. Five minutes prior to my appointment I was already back at Eccotique. I was lead inside and was asked to sit on a couch and wait for my masseuse. I was offered water or tea while I wait. After five minutes, my masseuse came and introduce herself. My masseuse' name is Paige. She then lead me to a private room. The room is of adequate size. Enough for a massage bed and for the masseuse to move around. I was asked to sit on the bed and was told to close my eyes. Paige then pressed her oil damped thumb on my forehead as she asked me to inhale deeply. She did this 3 times each with different aroma oil. I ended up choosing the Rosemary Mint oil. Paige then stepped out of the room and asked me to undress and go under the sheets face down. While waiting, I noticed the relaxing music playing in the background. I hear the sounds of the ocean and then birds. It was really pleasant to the ears. Before starting the massage, Paige asked if I have any injury or if I have parts of my body that I don't want pressure on. I am typically healthy so went for a full body massage. It was heavenly. I like that Paige would always check if the pressure is acceptable. I'm not a masochist. I don't like hurting myself more so paying the person who hurts me! I like my massage to be just right. I can say I went out of that spa a changed person. I felt so relax and loose. It felt like I can do another round of 90 minute hot yoga. This spa is highly recommended.

I didn't know what to expect (again, my FIRST manicure) so I wanted to check a couple of things. Right away the woman said, "I already told you." I said, "Well, the woman I spoke to on the phone..." she cut me off, "Woman! No "Woman", I speak to you!" She seemed irritated already and I had barely set foot inside! I tried another approach, "May I see your prices?" "Right there." she pointed to a post on the wall, then "I told you on [the] phone." "Which nails are stronger?" "They ALL strong. They ALL good, ok!" She tapped me on the hand to make me listen. That was enough for me - too aggressive, WAY too impatient and rude! NO manners for answering a simple question from a new, and somewhat nervous client (me). Terrible way to start! No way was I going to feel "taken care of" by someone with such a terrible attitude. I declined the appointment and left. I hope that she learns that sh*tty, rude behaviour will lose you clients.

We thought it would be some hair treatments similar to a facial but for hair but it was just shampoo and conditioner. The worst part of it was that the technicians aggresively scratch your head so hard. It felt like my skin was being torn off. Quite painful ever after asking for softer force. It was not pleasant nor relaxing at all. They shampoo twice and condition once and then blow dry your hair. They ask you to sit up to do some massaging on your shoulders. Then you are asked to sit in front of a mirror where they serve you cold water and finish blow drying. Then the 'spa' treatment is done and they start to clean up the room and ask you to change.. but they're still there and the door is also wide open to the public area. The technicians were nice people but they really need to reformat their spa style. I also noticed they had extremely long nails which I assumed they also work at the nail salon. This may be the reason why their head scratching hurts a lot.

I have to say I feel cheated after attending this salon…read more I found them online with decent reviews and saw a "Classical Manicure and Classical Pedicure combo" for $50(or 52) on their website, which made me call them, as I was looking for a not too expensive self treat. I called them and asked if they had any spots available for the "classical mani and classical pedi" which they said to come in right away. As I came in I told them that I called about "classical mani and pedi" combo. They sat me down and started the procedure. The nail ladies were very kind and I will give Charming salon a star for that. I will also give them another star for the foot and hand massage, because I quite enjoyed that. Now for the mani itself, I ended up with air bubbles on some of my nails. But hey at least it's regular polish and it will come off easily and it's not that expensive for the overall experience??? Wrong! As I came up to pay, the machine read $89! I kindly asked the lady as to why is it that much. As online it said only $52. She then told me that the $52 is for "classical mani and classical pedi" and they gave me shellac! That I did not ask for. (To clarify I do not go to nail salons often, and don't have a clear picture of which procedures do what and what they look like). Now I will know.. I then told the lady that this is frustrating as the classical mani and pedi is what I asked for in the beginning and she apologized. And of course I ended up paying that much :( Overall the experience was okay. I got the massage and my pedicure looks great. But I just can't help but feel cheated. Why do I have to pay some much more for a miscommunication on their part. Safe to say I will not be returning as it's not worth the price.
