I have been to the Dead Sea in Israel, I have been to Scandinavia and participated in the 7-step Skjól Ritual, among other places. I will tell you, the Sanctuary Float Center is the closest I have come to finding anything remotely similar to those experiences. I was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease over 2 years ago where I regularly suffered from chronic pain, inflammation, tight skin, stiff joints, chronic fatigue, along with other symptoms. Even with medications from my rheumatologist, the symptoms were still there and made it difficult to run a cancer research lab at the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University. My rheumatologist recommended trying something different than just western medicine of taking pills because physical therapy is generally expensive and difficult to get in to see regularly. My rheumatologist recommended trying old world medicine like at the the Sanctuary Float Center. I came to the Sanctuary Float Center to try out the contrast therapy, Infrared Sauna + Cold Plunge, and float therapy. Immediately, I was greeted by Lynn, one of the most genuinely kind people you will ever meet. He showed me around and explained everything about the facility but also talked about science, medicine, and therapies. I started with the contrast therapy, 40 minutes in the infrared sauna and then 3 minutes in the cold plunge. The infrared sauna was incredible, Lynn had set it up for pain relief prior to me arriving, and I felt my joint stiffness, muscle aches, skin tightness just melt away, I felt I could move like I was young again. Then I jumped into the cold plunge and WOW, that was invigorating! I felt like I could run a marathon again! After contrast therapy, I did a 60 minute float session which was as close to the Dead Sea I can get to in Georgia. Your entire body just relaxes immediately. You do not have to do anything that even people who think they are unable to float, they float. My neck and back pain subsided significantly and my entire body was able to relax without a single muscle working to make me comfortable. After the first visit I was hooked, I now have a membership for weekly contrast therapy, which I admit I go more than once a week because of how amazing I feel after. I also do float therapy and red light therapy several times a month. Between the therapy, the staff, and the environment, it is one of my favorite places to be. I would highly recommend trying out the Sanctuary Float Center to everyone, you will not be disappointed!

There have been many reports of massage establishments being raided on suspicion of prostitution. Call me paranoid, but I did not feel comfortable enough to go inside. Not only that, but if you attempt to reach the establishment's personnel by phone number, no one picks up. I called multiple days in advance to book, as per the instructions on the groupon fine print. It wasn't until I didn't show up for the appointment that someone finally reached out. The therapists inside may be great, but unless you are oblivious to caution or wish not to judge a book by its cover, then I do not recommend coming here. Update: The owner's comment below is that of a different client. For one, I do not have a daughter, I'm 22 with no kids period, and never had a chance to step foot into the establishment. But sure, my testimony is definitely "not true". I also booked on 10/9 for an appointment that is 10/10, since the website indicated availability for that day. Finally she returned my call three minutes before appointment. She had not heard the message I left, but was solely returning a call. I just wanted to rebook but she said I call too late. Nothing on the website states if your cycle comes on that you can't rebook, but you can't do the steam while on the cycle. So I lost a deposit for three people because of uncontrollable circumstances. She did offer a later time in a couple of hours but the experience was for the group. Please read and go some where else especially if you have an unpredictable cycle due to fibroids, a cycle that is abnormal, or you just forgot where you are in cycle. RUIN my DAY!!!
