Really nice to see a restaurant that does something different from the typical Argentinian meat and Italian food. They serve a pan-Latin American cuisine, covering everything from Mexico to Peru. Their plates are huge, more than enough food for one person. We had the bandeja and moqueca. The bandeja was loaded with tender, well seasoned beef. The moqueca was also tasty, especially the coconut milk "curry" seafood stew. Prices are slightly pricey, mid-200 pesos per plate. But definitely well worth it. Service was excellent, with friendly staff. Seating is cozy, with limited tables.

ginormous portions. beer is a 40. not a tiny baby bottle. everything is great, cash only.

One of the best mojitos I've ever had,

After a week in Buenos Aires and having plenty of Argentine and Italian food, I wanted to have a little something different. The bellman at my hotel recommended this spot. It is a very quaint family ran business. The place was very simple. Just a small kitchen area and a few tables up front with a few on the sidewalk. There was no air and it was 90 degrees. We first ordered beer and then mojitos. Then mojitos were one of the best I've had. Just the right amount of everything. Then came the burritos. They were very tasty and came with a small salad and beans. I would definitely recommend that everyone take a chance on this place. Lots of goodness in this spot.

Just came here for drinks, did not eat. We came for their selection of tequilas, we had their Hot…read moreMargarita, which was delicious. The restaurant has a cool vibe to it, I'll look forward to returning and trying the food.

We were wandering down the waterfront of Puerto Madero and the mid-day heat was getting to us…read more Lupita looked like they had a decent menu plus air-conditioning so our choice was made. The g/f ordered the Ensalada de Salmón y Aquacate (Salmon and avocado salad) and I got La Gringa del Patrón (Rib-eye steak with sauteed chorizo, tomato and smoked salsa with melted mozzarella and corn tortilla). Brought chicken salad by mistake, but this was soon corrected. The large salad was mostly lettuce and other fillers (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#653Jx4PS-qdW9QicIJJ1fA). The menu said a "vanilla vinaigrette" but there was no dressing on the salad and bottles of regular vinegar and olive oil were brought with the salad. The salmon that was there was nicely seasoned (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#6VwyrWCWmRK3l4uZmoSjGw). My La Gringa del Patrón was interesting. The dish was listed on both the Main Menu (comes with salad) which said tortilla de maiz (corn) and the Menu del Dia (comes with drink) which said it tortilla de trigo (wheat). I specified the Main Menu item and was expecting something like fajitas with tortillas on the side, but what came was quesadilla-like in a flour tortilla (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#DtqJ-caxSUv4KtD7AiCsYQ). Not sure if there was a typo on the menu or communication problem and I got the Menu del Dia item (as I also didn't get the side salad). Also, not sure the difference between La Gringa and Quesadilla items, which are on the menu in their own section. Anyway, the dish was garnished with a sweet brown sauce and flower petals (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#pDF6D6x7QqAsPkOBmhan6w) The beef was tender and there was not much chorizo (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lupita-buenos-aires-2?select=GJ5IZ-zw4YffeogvCrpW0A#aXh0heszhfBLyrybhnQmrg). We were both satisfied, but not wowed by our dishes.
