I've had a monthly membership with them since July 2025. I take my car there 1-2 times per month. This last Saturday I took my car there she walked to Target while it was being washed. I came back my car was finished. When I got the keys and went to open the door part of the handle was broken. I spoke to the guy at the front desk who told me the car was already damaged. Granted, there was a scratch but the handle wasn't broken. The only solution he offered was to take it to a guy he knows who has a shop and they'll fix the cable if that's what was broken, however the shop is open Monday they Friday. I work out of town Monday thru Friday and explained it to him. There was no other remedy offered. Turns out, I now have to replace the entire handle. If you value your property, do not take it there. Stopped in today and I (as always) told the fella I have whitewall tires and they need to be cleaned scrubbed before it goes into the washer. Went there on 12/15/25 at around 3-4pm. All was well until I received my car back from them. The front left wheel gained 1-2 new curb rashes while my front left tire looks like it got stabbed into my some extremely large and sharp object til the point where I can see my tire cords inside. Well unfortunately the bad reviews aren't off base. Their full interior cleaning service, a $275 price tag isn't anywhere worth it, attention to detail just isn't in their vocabulary. Doesn't help one of my mud flaps broke in their car wash either... For $100 I would say they did a decent job, the seats and carpet is cleaner than it was before, but for $275 I'm going to try blocking this experience out... Cannot recommend. They had my truck for just under 6 hours, and I can only wonder as to what they were doing with it given all the spots they missed (cracks, crevices, headliner, interior consoles, cup holders, etc). Unfortunately "like new" means different to them. Just disappointed. If you're looking for a simple surface cleaning feel free to check them out, but don't come here looking for quality. My mistake for giving them a chance and not just doing it myself (surprise I still have to! Yay!). All the bad reviews, despite some being ridiculous and not the car washes fault, are a good representation of the quality of the business. It's a solid 3 star business. And for those that may think I should show photos to prove; enjoy their service, give them the benefit of the doubt like I did, and see how you feel at the end. I love to supply locally owned and operated establishments and this car wash has been my go to for years. They always do a great job at getting my car clean and shiny both inside and out. They do pay good attention room to detail and get you back on the road as quickly as possible. While visiting in merced I figured I'd get a car wash.. typical run of the mill experience until I got in my car and my BASS wasn't working.. I reached for my knob only to find the whole knob including circuit board had been ripped out.. wires exposed and everything... this means that whoever was inside my car knew they had damaged it severely and didn't say anything and even threw away the housing unit and knob and part of the circuit board which probably was as big as a credit card.... I am mediately returned furious and the manager was very nonchalant and dismissive.. disclaimer: he did immediately acknowledge that they committed the damage.. but he was very unsympathetic in a matter of fact about it and his exact quote was "shit happens".. instead of having me go to a local stereo shop in Merced, he wanted to order the part on Amazon then have me go to the stereo shop and have it installed... THIS WAS A WEDNESDAY.... i'm posting this on Saturday and I called him this morning and he said the parts still had not come in yet... that makes no sense whatsoever, not only does it not take this long for a part to come in from Amazon, if he really cared about me as a customer he would've just called the stereo shop here in Merced made an appointment to have the part rewired and installed in my car... they did not offer me any compensation, they did not even offer me a free car wash.... I will be revising this review because if I do not get the same Kenwood part and he ordered some third rate cheap part from Amazon my next step will be going to small claims court... and not only will I be suing for my part and labor to install it, which I got an estimate of $325 at the local stereo shop... i will be suing for me not being able to use my radio for almost a week ... and i have a pre planned trip to the coast with no music now... When I arrived to get my car cleaned (inside and out)I spoke to one of the guys working and I asked him if someone would be able to clean a certain area on one of my seats as it was very dirty he said "sure no problem." As I'm waiting on my car I see an employee publicly bullying another employee. Calling him all sorts of profanities. Very unprofessional and uncalled for. I have tried many different car wash companies and not one of them has exceeded my expectations and this one is not any different. I wash my car myself weekly usually by hand and detail interior every two weeks. Well I decided to try something new and go to the Merced Mall Car Wash I paid for the "The Works" carwash which is the highest option available. So let me list the options under this selection: Full Service Air Freshener Tire Shine Wheels Cleaned Rainbow Wax Carnuba Wax Cherry Glo Dash Gloss Rubber Mats Washed Ok, so when I see "Full Service" I think great they will vacuum out my entire vehicle and do minor detailing to interior (i.e seats, dash, doors, windows, floor mats). So when I first inspect the vehicle the car looks clean, quick glance you on the inside looks good but not great. Well they totally missed my trunk, they lightly dusted and I mean very lightly dusted my dash and center console and stereo, they smeared this what I would assume to be dash glow, but it was very spotty. The leather seats where not cleaned, the backs seats weren't even wiped down, and my floor mats weren't even taken out and washed, I can guarantee they didn't even remove the mats to vacuum under them. Took my car in today to Huss & they did a amazing job ! My car literally looks brand new , totally recommend this place ! They Washed my car. Did the Waterspot removal off the windows, the paint, door jams. Waxed the outside of it. Shampooed seats and floor, scrub down all the door panels, cup holders, dash... shined all my door panels and dash up. Just got back from this place.. one star is too high of a rating for the service I've received in the last 2 times I've been there. I should have done a walk around and look through my car before I left but I was too pressed on time. Bugs are still on front bumper and license plate. I am really shocked to see all of these negative comments for merced mall car wash . I use to wash my car at every car wash in merced and I always find myself coming back. The young lady in the cash register she is always so kind and sweet and always willing to greet with a smile she so friendly answer any questions and concerns I have . Plus these people put in the hard work to hand dry and wash and vacuum something we sometimes don't have time doing someone else so doing it for us even if we are paying them. it's crazy of what people expect out of it . you get what you pay here and I can honestly say they are trustworthy I left money in my car and all my money was in my car when I got it back to be honest I was shocked if it would have been any other car wash let's be honest wouldn't have been in my car . I will say the outside of the car looks nice but and it does looks vacuumed but the inside looks as if they didn't touch it. Actually there was some shiny stuff half wiped onto some of the dash. I had to ask for them to vacuum the trunk which the guy at the beginning did tell me, so I said yes I want you to clean it. Checked it and it wasn't done. They did it after I asked the second time. That time they literally had the car in the drive ready to go. I drove off and noticed that it wasn't as clean as I thought it was going to be. Got home to take a closer look, I paid $65 dollars. Come on I understand that you have to tell them if they missed something but they're a car wash. They're supposed to actually try to clean it. Truck is looking good again!!! $75 to wax, trim restore, chrome polish, and wax the heck out of the outside. I mean, these guys went over my truck a good 3 times! Includes vacuum inside, wipe interior windows, and wipe down all the surfaces. The person I had to be rung up by was a mid aged Hispanic gentleman. Real laid back, easy going, great service. Took roughly an hour for 3 guys to do said detail. All got $5 each, which if I had more (of spending money) they'd have probably gotten $10.
