Continuing my search for the perfect baguette ... we stopped in here because everything looked so good. I did get a couple yummy desserts and a baguette. Sadly, the baguette was kind of mushy and not crispy. I did not enjoy the flavor compared to the other ones I've had in the neighborhood. I really wanted to love it... since I noticed several people walking down the street eating a baguette from here with the Merci Jerome bag in hand. I would recommend this place! I tried their croque monsieur and Ube latte and was not disappointed. The croque monsieur had a generous pile of gruyère melted on the sides of the bread with a proportional amount of meat and filling on the inside. With the croque monsieur warmed up, it made a perfect brunch meal with the ube latte. The ube latte is exactly what you would expect but crafted carefully. I would just go back for this delightfully warm concoction in the morning. The service to go along with this made this experience more pleasant as it seems most of the employees were filipinos. They were quick to receive you and leave you beyond satisfied. The shop exudes the classic parisian aesthetic that most people would romanticize and I am glad I experienced it. Our hotel was right next to this cafe so we visited several times. They have an assortment of pastries and sandwiches throughout the day. We saw lots of locals coming in for loaves of bread at all times of the day. We stopped by almost every morning for a quick latte. No issues with their coffee, and they usually provided complimentary little pastries with our order. I did notice that the price of a latte was a little bit higher than average, about €4-5. One morning, we stopped by for breakfast and ordered two pastries. They offered them to be warmed up but when we received them, they were completely cold, like just-came-out-of-refrigerator cold. They tasted fine but were nothing special. I meant to try their pastries and sandwiches but did not have the opportunity during our stay. Nonetheless, it's a convenient cafe located near the metro in the 15th arr. It's a small cafe with a couple high stool tables and a few outdoor tables. Stopped in for a tea & sandwich for a picnic on the Champ de Mars and so glad we did. We ordered the chicken sandwich and it was wonderful! Fast service and the staff was so friendly. The restaurant was beautiful inside too! We will definitely be back! read more

This little corner shop is FANTASTIC. For an American visiting France this place is a must. The service is 10/10. The gentleman who helped us didn't speak much English but we made do! We had the three cheese sandwich and a ham and cheese which were both fresh. Then we had the French cheesecake and a strawberry tart. This place is affordable but delicious. Not sure how the French remain so svelte with breakfast options like these. Choices like this are so difficult because with all the beautiful, skillfully crafted and delicious options, it is only natural to want to try one of everything. After careful consideration, I chose a Paris-Brest amande, and a smoked salmon and arugula sandwich for breakfast, as well as a cappuccino. The sandwich and pastry were the perfect balance of salty and sweet. The cappuccino was silky smooth and easily one of the best I've had anywhere... not to mention that it was absolutely gorgeous. Almost too pretty to drink. I had to take away a star because the older lady in the shop is a bit rude. The rest of the staff are ok, but the old chick definitely has a bit of an attitude. Wonderful experience for an American in Paris ! I enjoyed the delicious food with many choices. The bread was fresh and dessert was a perfect balance to end the meal. Amazing! Let me just say that before having pastries here I believed that macarons were the best French pastry! I was wrong! Everything sold at this location looks and tastes incredible. Seriously, and the prices are so reasonable. They also have the best baguettes I've ever tasted. The baguettes are warm and fresh out of the oven and I think they are only 1 euro. After eating French pastries in Paris it is so difficult to have anything else compare to the taste or the presentation. If you get a chance, come have something here, anything. I loved this place! The employees were super helpful to us, and spoke English well. We ordered a veggie quiche, a hot dog, a cappuccino, and a bag of macaroons. First, I wish we had gotten more macaroons - they were simply delicious, but by the time we had opened the bag, we had already left Paris. Second, the quiche was simply lovely. It was so good!
