    Croissants.

We stopped here for some pastries and croissants while staying at a nearby hotel. This neighborhood bakery has a wide selection of sweets and savory goodies. We were glad the staff spoke some English so ordering was quite easy. I lost count of how many croissants that were consumed during our Paris trip. The croissants are so soft and airy with a light buttery flavor. The pastries are so divine. My fave was the fraisier cake which is a classic French cake made with layers of genoise, strawberries and marizipan. It was moist and not too rich. The pistachio pastry was also excellent. The pistachio cream is topped with fresh raspberries on a pistachio macaron. This bakery was a gem that we stumbled upon. The prices are very reasonable. It does get busy during the mid morning rush but the line moves really fast.

We ate here because it was incredibly close to our hotel, and I am glad we found this place via Yelp! The owner and the servers were so cordial, and helped us pick out a number of goodies to get the day started right. The coffee was hot and the depth of flavor is indescribable. My husband fell in love with this place so much we ended up visiting twice during our stay. Both their sweet and savory goodies were cooked to perfection ... you can definitely tell that there were quality ingredients used because each bite was delectable. The crispness of the pastry (I cant get that beautiful crunch sound out of my head!) was perfect, and the ratio of filling to pastry dough was the perfect amount as well. I have to admit that the servers were so kind and accommodating of all of my questions regarding products used during the baking process due to my nut allergies. I would definitely recommend this place - great food and wonderful service!

Love love love this place! We stayed at the hotel on the same street and it was the perfect spot. We came downstairs every morning for fresh baguettes, sandwiches, and pastries. It was dangerously delicious! Everything looked amazing and tasted even more amazing! Most of the staff speaks English and when they don't, you start the hand gestures. We loved their cafe Eclairs, the Paris Brest and mini beignet pastries, the full baguette is a no brainer, and their variety of sammiches....YUM! The first time we were there, we forgot about butter. So we asked and they gave us these tiny cubes of butter, 2 for 1 euro. Usually they come with the bread at restaurants, but no biggie. Luckily I had a euro left in my purse from my other trip to Europe. (we went to the grocery store across the way and got a big tub of butter that lasted for the week, lol) I loved the baguette salami and gherkin sammich, the ham and cheese baguette sammich, the smoked salmon baguette sammich, and the prosciutto baguette sammich! Oh! Their freshly made crepes was sooo good after dinner. I got the Speculoos one, it's a spread from the Biscoff biscuits. My mouth is salivating as I'm reviewing this. I believe we came here 8 out of the 10 days we were here, we even bought the same items for dinner one night. We just loved how convenient it was to get breakfast and how fresh all the food were. We'll be back for sure if we're back in the same area.

Great market to try all sorts of pastries and French desserts! They had tons of fresh items to pick from. I got a small box of 4 macarons that were absolutely delicious! They were very friendly to English-only speakers and helped us select what flavors we wanted. I don't remember the exact price but fairly consistent with other shops. This is a great place to wander around and try a few treats, highly recommend

I'm writing this review as I devour my cafe au lait. The negative reviews must be from patrons who don't attempt to speak French or look annoyed. AT the very least TRY to speak the basic French (hello, please, etc). I've been in Paris for 5 days and I haven't received bad service or attitude by anyone (I've gone to the non touristy places) probably because I've tried with a smile. The food: the pastries and the coffee were delicious. Damn am I going to miss Paris.

This was just your typical French bakery, which in itself was great. The staff were friendly enough but the pastries were amazing! We tried the caramel eclair and a small pie and both were gone too quickly.

This was another favorite spot of ours on Rue Cler. The sandwiches are simple, nothing fancy. However, It's the bread..... OMG, the Baguettes are so fresh and delicious. We observed the locals in the morning/evening purchasing the bread (by itself) and just noshing on the Baguette while walking home. It's that good. Oh. Let me tell you about the Macarons. This was our first time experiencing Macorons. (yes, it was an experience). Holy $h!t ....... Macarons are just divine....... they are little pillows of ecstasy. You savor every bite. We bought boxes of Macarons to take back to our hotel in London (we ate them every night when we returned back to our hotel). I don't know how these Macarons stack up against the famous Pierre Hermé Macarons but the Artisan Boulanger Patissier has a special place in our hearts.

Can only comment on the traditional baguette - it was delicious. Traditional is mandated by the French government in 1993 with a decree that created a special designation: "the bread of French tradition." That bread has to be made exclusively with flour, salt, water and leavening -- no additives. The "tradition," as it is called, is more expensive than the ordinary baguette, which uses additives, a fast-rising process and mechanization. It seems like a mainly French speaking establishment and service was good.

Pain au chocolat. It's always huge.

I moved to an apartment near this boulangerie a few months ago and the ladies that work there as well as the baker are all very nice people. I have to laugh at the Yelper that said they weren't about to learn their language to ask about a pastry item. How about trying to learn just a few basic sentences or questions then? I didn't speak much French when I moved here, but I did try to learn a few basics to interact with the people. In any case, about the bread and pastries. They are great. I often get my breakfast croissant or pain au chocolat here or from another boulangerie down the street. If you come here in the morning, you'll be treated to their fresh baked croissants, pain au chocolat and other items. The straight out of the oven croissants and pain au chocolat are soft, buttery and melt in your mouth. The chocolate in the pain au chocolat at that point is still liquid and gooey. I could probably eat 2 of each all in one go, when they're that fresh. Granted, if you get the same things a day later they're not so good. They get a bit dry, but I know I've experienced the same from the other boulangeries because they don't really use conservateurs (I chose that the word that preserves things - if you know French, you'll know why. Haha.). Their 'tradition' (baguette type) is also very good. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. But when you get a tradition, eat it the same day. The beignets are small, round and always filled with something (caramel, apple jam, apricots jam, etc.). I think they're pretty good.

We stopped here every morning and night for fresh pastries and bread! 1 euro for a baguette! I was I total heaven! Across the street was the most wonderful cheese shop which accompanied my bread under the Eiffel Tower every night! Great service and amazing pastries and brEad. We even got a quiche and had that for a late night snack! Love shopping right on our street!

Two ladies work here and neither of them speak english. The shop is super cute filled with yummy looking pastries, desserts and bread. We came in specially for a baguette and dessert for our picnic by the Eiffel Tower. We bought a baguette and a chocolate filled eclaire for €3,50. I guess it's cheap...but i have nothing else to compare it to. It was certainly delicious! The only reason I didn't give it more stars is because one of the ladies seemed irritated that she had to help Americans who don't speak French. But it wasn't anything that would leave me with a bad taste about Paris and it's wonderful people!

The staff are rude, the baguette stale. I gave it two stars as it was the only one opened at that time. C'est dommage!

The store is gorgeous and will immediately catch your eye, I knew I had to come see what was going on in here. I crossed over and walked in to find the most delightful le merveilleux. I ordered 3 minis which I trekked all over town for the day and later enjoyed for in the evening. They were delish! My advice would be don't trek all over town with them, enjoy them or store them to enjoy later. They were great but they are fairly delicate. These treats are super light and the perfect little treats. The mini size is perfect to enjoy several flavors. I'm a Los Angeles native and while many may say they haven't seen or heard of these le merveilleux before, we have a little French bakery at home called Le Mervetty that I've ordered cakes from and they make these. They are truly special, I've always felt that. If you're looking for a lovely treat, definitely stop in. Service was quick and friendly!

I got the sampler of 6 merengues in a cute box but I only got to try 3 as I shared the rest with our house host. My fave was the Magnifique - meringue coated in pralines. So light and airy as with the rest. The Merveilleux - chocolate was a bit too sweet for my taste what with the layers n layers of chocolate. I am not a fan of white chocolate so I did not like the Incroyable - white chocolate with speculoos. The shop have different branches in Paris as well as the train stations but we went to the one by the Moulin Rouge. It is right smack in the center of the street you wouldn't miss it with its very opulent chandelier hanging by the window. They make and bake their pastries on site as with each and every patisserie in Paris it seems. So everything is freshly baked!
