Mixed feelings but more positive than negative…read more Not going to go into details about why I was here but wanted to give some feedback about my experience. *The patient parking lot desperately needs to have the lines repainted. Multiple cars taking up two spots. *For coming in on a late weekend morning the service was quick for what needed to be done. In and out of the waiting room a couple times but not a long wait. When the sun is shining through the windows the warmth of a winter day feels nice. *When finally taken into the ER the service that was provided for my partner was very well. She was highly concerned from previous visits at her own medical places that when drawing blood she was getting pricked multiple times because they couldn't find the vein. She requested an ultrasound which the person who conducted it did it in the first try but wasn't completely successful but it worked enough. The main care taker, Emma?, was fantastic and made my partner very comfortable. I gave her that feedback which cheered up her day. *I noticed on the drapes around the bed where I was sitting had some stains on them. I brought it to Emma's attention and she said she would have the cleaners take care of it. I typically don't need to go to hospitals. I'm what they consider "boring " which is good. But I would come here if I needed immediate attention for something.

Thank you especially to Filipina nurses Chali / Fe and Leah ; nurse Cathy , the very skilled IV male nurse ( forgot his name and anesthesiologist ( forgot his name too)and even Wayne the w/ chair transport staff who took me all the way down to the parking lot . You all made my experience there today so comfortable and smooth / easy.

For me it's a hike. It's about 1 hour away. But this place by far exceeds Harrington Hospital in Southbridge Ma. Upon entering the building was noticeably very clean for such a busy public place. I couldn't believe my eyes. The staff here is friendly and they made a great team. Upon entering the Children's ER everyone that came in to help out our boy was amazing at listening to what we had to say. They all communicated well. They worked together great as a team. They were much faster than I've ever seen in any ER. They actually had empathy for my child and worked hard to get him comfortable. Each doctor that we saw was right on it. We are on night two of my son being hospitalized and still we are impressed with the care we are getting. I will update here if need be. But where we live in the sturbridge area, Southbridge's Harrington Hospital is Rubbish. Apples and oranges. We're very pleased with Baystate children's hospital so far!! Updating nearly a month later: Still we are so pleased with the service we got. My son had 2 follow-ups with another doctor not on campus of the hospital and the care my son received was fantastic. The doctor explained everything to my husband and didn't leave us with any question.

Last night, while walking on my treadmill, I decided to increase the speed and do a little…read morejogging. After about one minute, I experienced a sharp pain that felt like an electrical shock shoot down the length of my left arm. I have never experienced anything like it before. So, figuring it's better to be safe then sorry, I decided to go to the Family Care Medical Center on Allen Street in Springfield, which does urgent care. They are administered by Trinity Health, of which I am a member, so they have access to my medical records. I looked them up online and it said they were open until 7 p.m. Well, I got there at 5:30 p.m., and the doors were locked and the lights were off. But the sign on the door said their hours were from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. So I called the phone number on the door, and a woman answered. I asked her why they were not open, and she replied that all of their appointments for the day were full, so they weren't taking anybody else and closed early. So I said to her, ""I thought you were an urgent care facility that accepted walk-in patients?" She said, "We are, but we're short-staffed and don't have anybody to look at any more patients." She said they suggest that patients go to the emergency room. I told her, "The reason I came here is because I don't want to spend all night sitting in an emergency room!" It seems to me that if you are an "Urgent Care" facility that takes walk-ins, and you advertise that you are open until 7 p.m., you should stay open until 7 p.m. in case somebody shows up needing urgent care ... even it it's at 6:55 p.m.!

Dr Helfand has been my primary care doctor for over five years now. I have never met a Doctor who…read moretruly cares about his patients more than him. After a bad car accident in 2011 and 3 surgeries later I tried to contact him but he was on vacation. He called me from his cellphone from across the country. He Also emailed with me back and forth until he was able to see me in the office. Some of my injuries had me in his office at least once every couple of weeks for at least a year. He never got frustrated with me and has been amazing. I could never thank him enough. The staff is also awesome. Always friendly and positive.

I was refused my…read moreneeded medication ( nebulizer for my breathing) because as they said they could not give it to me as I was not in a room . I had difficulty trying to flag a person down in order to get to the bathroom. After I finally got to a room I had to be moved. They had brought a patient in who was positive for COVID. I also had to ask for the welcoming package soap wash cloth etc. When it was time to be discharged I told them I could get a ride home the following morning but that was not fast enough for them. They ordered an ambulance service to bring me home without pre approval . This caused more billing problems. All in all I would say this was not one if better stays there

I have tried for days, been on hold for over an hour, and resubmitted the required information too many times to count. Their portal sign up system is malfunctioning. I just had to share my frustration and hope that your experience is better than mine.

Substandard care in day shift observation unit and S6. I was a post-operative rectal mass removal…read moreand perhaps was seen twice by my nurse in the day shift observation unit. Upon discharge, my IV was traumatically removed creating a massive hematoma in my right hand. I had post-operative complications and was hospitalized for 2 days on S6. I was simply left there by the day shift with no way/assistance to bath or even brush my teeth. I developed a C-diff infection. A commode was placed by my bedside, which became filled with urine and feces and never emptied, nor did I even have even toilet paper. I received nothing for breakfast or lunch with only a cup of water by my bedside. I have been a Master Degreed RN for 46 years, and even taught nursing at a local university, and have never seen this level of indifference and incompetence. Stay away from this hospital!

I had to take my son to the Pediatric ER. They were amazing. Great with kids. So understanding…read more They admitted my son and we are ending our second night here. They truly made my son feel like a rock star. Thank you to the ER Staff who dealt with a concerned mama. Thank you to EVERYONE here on the 4th floor pediatric unit! The doctors take their time to explain. The nurses come in frequently and always are eager to help, WITH ANYTHING! Always with a smile and ready to communicate and play with the kids. Thank you to the volunteers! Wow. You really know how to get projects started and the kids occupied. And let's never forget the staff who picks up the laundry and handles our food. Just courteous and so warm. Thank you too! Even though we hope to never come back, we are so grateful to have you here if we do. Blessings, your all doing a phenomenal job!

I forgot I wrote this review in 2024. Update, I finally got a colonoscopy in Feb 2026. It took…read moreclose to four years to finally get one. I find out my polyps are over a cm and am high risk, thus need to get a colonoscopy every year.
