I found Shannon online and gave her a call due to her reasonable prices and I liked her portfolio pictures. I asked for big curls and Smokey eyes... but not too black. So she went with a very stunning grey Smokey eye look that made me look... well.... let's just say...pretty damn sexy. My make-up and hair lasted the entire night, through sweat, tears, and blood! (Not so much tears and blood... Mostly sweat). And I was given many compliments that I just ate up! I'd like to have taken all the credit... but alas... She doesn't have that "I'm a tattoo artist you're gonna take what you get and like it" type attitude which I highly respect and sadly it can be hard to find in the industry. She cares about the fact a tat is permanent and she feels what matters most is that the customer is happy with what they got. She doesn't ego trip. For me I wanted a little change with the ink I got from her (because of a mixup with the front desk when I first signed up not because of her or myself) And she was super receptive and touched it up no problem and I really like the outcome so much better. It was a relief to have it done and also for it not to have been a stressful process to get there. Definitely had a bad experience with an artist before so this was hella refreshing. And because of the mixup (which wasn't even her fault) she even offered me a refund because she wanted to make it right. I didn't take her up on the whole refund because that felt way wrong, but I did accept a discount. (Not advertising her giving out discounts though haha this was a specific uncommon occurrence that happened) Definitely was surprised she offered though as I've never had anything like that happen to me before in a professional tattoo setting. And she's great at matching colors and tons to outfits and skin. It always just works perfectly! I always have my make up done around 9 or 10 AM for a full day of work/awards show craziness - and it is ALWAYS perfect until I take it off around midnight. Her skill and products are both great quality. She has been the only person to do lashes on me that will stay ALL day and not get irritated or fall off. At the trial, the makeup was incomplete (no base, no brows, no lips), and she also cut my hair much shorter than I asked -- which made me so sad and upset since I had been growing my hair out for my wedding day. I still gave her $100 as a thank-you gift, which she accepted without mentioning any other payment. The next day, after I said I wasn't happy and wouldn't be proceeding, she suddenly started listing random prices, and a month later (after the wedding), she sent me an invoice and began sending repeated and threatening messages. Screenshots are included showing our conversation, the confirmed rate, and the sudden invoice. I would not recommend -- always get everything in writing first! I am so embarrassed to even show the work she did on my face as it's not cleaned up or complete and don't wanna give her anything else to use to harass me.
