This nail salon is conveniently located near Highway 32 with plenty of parking, and the space itself is clean, new, and pleasant -- a nice atmosphere for self-care. I've visited twice so far. On my first visit, I requested a fill with flat, natural-looking short nails. The technician was friendly, but the nails came out a bit too thick for my taste -- more claw-like than I prefer. I ended up going to another salon to have them filed down. On my second visit, I saw Bruce and requested the same style. He did a great job and gave me exactly what I was looking for. I was charged $45 (plus a tip I was happy to give), which is a bit more than what I usually pay. For comparison, I typically go to Tammy's Nails -- they do excellent work for $30, though it's a longer drive and they accept cash only. The salon is clean, bright, modern, and well staffed. I arrived to my Friday 9am appt for a gel mani & gel pedi and was seated immediately with Tom. I went to this nail spa for a pedicure + full set acrylics. Pedicure was fine honesty and was maybe 30 minutes which was to be expected. But my nails took 2.5 hours to do which was kind of ridiculous! The nails turned out fine but he cut my cuticles and did not apologize when I bled. He spent so long on the smallest little things which was fine but charged me more for it in the end. My design was not that complicated but he argued with the lady charging me on a different language to tell her to increase the price. $100 is not normal for a manicure. Myself and my mom went to have a nice girls day. When we arrived we felt extremely rushed and were not given much time to decide on colors and not really consulted on what type of nail we would like. There was visible nail dust on the chair and the tray attached to it, which I worrisome considering we went right when they opened so everything should have been *theoretically* clean. The nail techs that did both our pedicures were both quite nice. As was the gentleman who did my manicure. However it was quite awkward to have to reach my hand across my body to the left where the nail tech was to have my nails done. I've been to quite a few nail salons and I've never had my manicure and pedicure done at the same time. I had decided on the basic gel manicure, and though the color is pretty I am pretty disheartened by how translucent the polish is and that I can still see my nail bed beneath the polish. My mom decided to get her nails done in a different manner and as she is an emergency first responder, she thought it'd be nice to commemorate the fallen firefighters during the month of September. She even brought in her own "never forgotten" nail decals and wanted someone to put them on professionally. Her nail tech told her it would look bad and he repeatedly tried to dissuade her from applying them and disregarded her when she said they have significant meaning to her. Stating to her that he didn't understand why it mattered so much to her. It literally took her and myself to tell the guy that this is her choice and that she just wanted them applied. I even assisted with reading the application instructions and he kept ignoring what I was saying. He didn't use tweezers to place them and just carelessly slapped them on her nail, so they ended up sideways and super crooked. It's bad enough to have someone make you feel bad for a personal choice, but to completely disregard and make someone feel bad over wanting to commemorate fallen firefighters and first responders is beyond crappy behavior. read more

When they first opened it was nice, clean, and worth the money. Today my sister and I went for pedicures and I got the most expensive pedicure. It was awful, they were using various lotions, gels, etc, no scent was consistent. Mia didn't trim my nails, she literally burned me with the hot stone that she used less than a minute on both of my legs, she only covered the hot wax on half of my foot, didn't tie the bag so it got cold and kept falling off. The shop is in my neighborhood so I really really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, I got the ugliest, most painful set of nails ever. From being screamed at before I even got started to getting a nail tech who had no idea what square - round means, Leaving the shop with my brand new full set of acrylics that barely cover the tips of my fingers, bruising around all of my nail beds, gel polish that's already chipped, flat nail beds horribly shaped nails I can truly say this was the worst experience I have ever had. I made an appointment and when I showed up for it, they said I didn't. I could clearly see my name and phone number and showed them where it was on the book. They told me to wait and after about 15 minutes last my appointment they sat me with someone. I was asked at least 5 times if I made an appointment, and told twice that I didn't. Weird. But it gets worse. After several minutes, one of the women came and asked me, again, if I made an appointment for a new full set. I said yes. Then she asked me what I wanted. She was extremely irritable and I told her again I wanted a full set. She said something I could not understand. She was talking fast, had a heavy accent and was wearing a mask. I asked her what she said and she did it again. I told her I didn't know what she was saying. She made an exasperated sound, rolled her eyes, moved in close and screamed at me. It was so startling that I jumped back and several other customers started laughing. I should have gotten up and walked out. I did not. They clearly don't practice social distance and sat another client less than a foot away in the adjoining station. I could go on and on about the experience I had here but suffice it to say that my nails are barely covering the tips of my fingers, as they kept scrubbing and scrubbing at them with the file trying to shape them in a "square round" shape that I asked for. I won't bore you with more details but just say that my finger tips are aching and bruised around the beds. The nails are crooked and the tops are mostly flat. The gel is a mess and overall they look terrible. I paid for new, long nails. I got nails that barely cover the end of my fingers, bruises, got screamed at and it cost me $43 for the pleasure. I cannot recommend and I wish I had refused to pay for this mess. I need my hands to recover before I can go elsewhere. read more

I had an appointment with a certain gal and when I went to get my nails done I was bumped to someone else because she took someone before me that had a bigger, more expensive service. So, if you don't care who does your nails you're fine. I personally like going to the same person each time. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!! I came in to get a gel x fill for a concert I was going to the next day. I hadn't had many problems with this salon before, only how I'm stared at constantly by employees for my appearance and the overpriced costs for simple little gems/designs. This time I was horribly treated and left with nails that were crooked, oddly shaped, uneven, and damaged. The man who provided the service was very unprofessional and didn't even seem to be trained in the slightest bit. He had come in right after smoking cigarettes, looked at me oddly, filed my real nail to where it was so thin it flaked off, and even burned my nail. He harshly gripped my hands and twisted them in extreme ways to the point where I thought my finger was going to break due to how severely painful it was. Not only that, I tried asking if he could fix the shape of my nails because they were all slanted. He agreed but then only had just filed two fingers and did so in the same slanted direction. He kept getting annoyed and expressed it through his body language and tone. I'm a hesitant person to say anything while getting my nails done, so it made me even more scared to speak up, especially as a woman. When doing the design, he never asked if I was okay with how my nails looked and made me put them straight into the nail lamp. Even after the horrid treatment, I still had to pay full price. I went back inside to try and get a refund and they only offered a 10% gift card and to fix the shape/length. They knew and saw how bad my nails were but didnt say anything and acted very apathetic. I ended up getting my nails reshaped but due to how deformed they were, they had to be filed down much shorter and took off a lot of the original design. I was left with an entirely new design and short length that I didn't want. Not even a day later, my nails began to chip off. After washing dishes, the entire tip of my nail just snapped off. The employees only seemed to care when I began telling someone else in the salon about the nightmare service. The man who had provided the service didn't seem to receive any form of punishment or consequence for anything. I requested a gel mani/pedi with Peter. I got something very simple, white polish and a simple design (what should have been) on one nail, each hand. I asked for a cancer zodiac sign (69) on one nail and stars on the other. Apparently he is not good at simple designs? But he kept retrying over and over, and another woman came over to try as well. Eventually I just said "it's fine" because they started laughing and joking around with each other and it was not getting any better. I was very uncomfortable with the sighing and laughing. He also kept smudging my nails, bc he wouldn't have my hand under the light long enough and then tried to act like it was my hand not in far enough, pushed my hand up into the light where it burned me so I said no that's too far, it's hot. It's the amount of time not me needing to touch the light! So now, I have an ugly design, bumps and bubbles in the paint (smudging and just painting over it instead of redoing it), and it's already peeling off. Not worth my money. I went in for an express pedi + gel (25 minutes I was told). My pedicure took 45 minutes without the lotion at the end per my request because I had to get back to work. They clearly gave me a new guy because he was sooooo slowwww. He kept looking around and getting distracted. He did a terrible job at clipping my cuticles. He would grab my ankles and move them every single time he needed to put them under the UV light. The massage was light and short. Not what a typical pedicure massage would be. My nine-year-old niece and I had a wonderful experience during our first visit to Meriam Nails. We walked in on Valentines Day with no appointments. While I was fully prepared to wait or be told to come back, Tommy was able to squeeze us in and set us up right away. I had a pedicure while my niece just had her toenails polished. Both Tommy and Viet were very attentive and made us feel welcome. Tommy gave my niece a huge pillow so she could lean back in the chair comfortably. They both worked quickly and did a quality job on our nails. I really appreciated the extra care they gave to my niece. She was excited to have her nails painted and loved the beautiful decor in the salon. They did not charge for her service, which was thoughtful but unnecessary, as I felt that our experience was no less than perfect. Viet also took our picture in front of the flower wall. One nail is a bit crooked, and another isn't filed in a straight line on top (both are close up in photos), but generally not noticeable defects. I stopped going to Meriam for the reason that my nails always chip after 3-4 days of getting them done! I thought I would give this place a try again since my friend was in town and she suggested this place. Big mistake. I have done my own gel at home before and it never chips this soon. when I've done my own gel at home it lasts a minimum of 1 week before chipping and even then it slightly chips on corners. I would not recommend this place if you are getting gel over your nails. I am aware that gel does chip, but it had been only 4 days since I got them done! This is super frustrating and disappointing. I should have known better. They really need to reconsider the products they use as well as techniques they follow for gel. read more
