It took longer than I had liked to get a response, but I did hear back from them. I was told to call the office or send an email; so, I emailed them a short description of the work with a picture. The entire process of getting an estimate took 2 business days. I requested an estimate via Yelp Sunday afternoon and received their bid Tuesday afternoon. I decided not to go with Bode's Electric because their estimate was on the higher side among the several estimates I received. In fact, their estimate along with a few others were significantly higher than a couple of bids from other companies in town (more than double). Note: Although they are listed as different companies, Bode's and West Mechanical appear to be the same company. Even though they were slammed with business, they got back to me promptly, followed through with an estimate (very reasonable), then got me on the schedule. The owner himself called me prior to the appointment to make sure I'd been taken care of -- unheard of in this day and age. The electrician they sent arrived on time, was courteous and friendly, and did everything on the list efficiently and professionally. We even had a dishwasher delivery the same day, and he helped the installation guys with a question they couldn't figure out -- this wasn't in his scope of work and he definitely could have said no. Just awesome. If you need electrical work done, you can actually count on them being true to the keyword in their name -- integrity. It's refreshing. They'll be my go-to from here on out!

The site visit with Tanner went smoothly. The instal team were great, and did a fine job as well and answering my many questions. Where things were a bit less wonderful were, from my point of view, the challenges with communication. There were a number of these and the last one is the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. A week after the utility company gave the final okay, there has been zero contact from Banner. Not a "how are things going?" nor a "thanks for working with us" or even an attempt to sell us on their maintenance plan. :) Today, the final payment request arrived, from a no reply email no less. Maybe I asked too many questions or it was the fact that I had an issue with the payment schedule not being made clear?
