We have remodeled different rooms in our farmhouse over the last 5 years.  It has been a challenge since the original part was built in 1886 with more rooms and a second story was added later.  Premier Electric has worked with us over the entire period.  The owner, Darron, has become a friend by now.  He has been exceptional at returning calls quickly, and we have had no response delays. He even called to stay in touch during a few long delays (caused by other contractors).  He has been straightforward and honest with us at all times.    His organism is impressive.  When the Premier crew shows up, the first thing they do is set up tables and lay out parts that will be needed for that day's job.  His workers are trained to follow the electric building code and not take shortcuts that could cause problems now or in the future, like fires or delays caused by inspection fails, etc.  The workmanship and professionalism shown by Premier Electric are also of the highest caliber.  They have worked to find solutions for problems beyond the ordinary or commonly encountered types.  We have been pleased with the outcome, especially considering our ancient farmhouse.  They have found and showed us the pics of problems they discovered that were not directly related to their work on our home.  Two examples are: Old wires that were twisted together and hidden behind walls (exposed during the remodel), and insulation melted off a wire in the crawlspace under the house.  We said, "Yes, please fix them."  These were genuine fire hazards that were created decades ago.  Premier brought these to our attention before a tragedy occurred. I have no qualms about the quality of work, but I feel l completely misled by this business and its charges. I was informed by the owner that they only did work on a time and materials basis. He told me that they were often cheaper than electricians who worked on a bid process. I had bids from two other electricians with a low of $3,500 and $5,100 for a high. The charge from Premier was almost $7,700! So I really felt gouged by them based on my expectations. So be forewarned about dealing with this company. read more

BILLED US THREE YEARS LATE FOR 95% OF WORK DONE. I am sad to have to write this review, but have no choice. We hired this company to do a wiring job on our remodel, and our grandparents hired them for their remodel. The work was chaotic and there were multiple mistakes made, as well as we found out later that cheap materials were used for the wiring. The worst issue is that they FORGOT to bill us for 95% of the work, which in the middle of a huge remodel we did not notice since we depend on all the companies to bill us in a timely fashion. 3 years later, and our budget for remodel gone, we get a message from them that, "Oh sorry about this but we forgot to bill you for $34,000 and forgot to bill your grandparents for half their job ($15,000) so we will give you $1,400 off the total bill but can you please pay right now? We then asked for proof of hours worked because it had been so long we didn't remember when they were here or for how long. It took them 3 months to come up with this information and when they sent it, it was calculated with errors. They also tried to charge us for current labor costs rather than what we were quoted back in 2020. Needless to say, we found this extraordinarily unprofessional and distressing. We are going to pay this out of our own sense of integrity, but I do NOT recommend doing business with this electrical company. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau because I suspect they are not logging labor hours properly (note taking 3 months to produce logs and then they are incorrectly added) or if at, which I consider to be a fraudulent business practice. I hate having to post this because I always want to be supportive of small local business, but I don't want anyone else to have to deal with the stress of what we have dealt with this company and their disorganized business. read more

They charged unreasonable and very very expensive. Quote more than double than other companies. Also cut a 20" x 10" hole just to install a 220 voltage. When we asked about the big hole, the guy said it is our problem and he is only doing the electrical. The guy cut a big hole and didn't bother to fix the dry wall. Don't use them. End up you will pay more for their mistake. read more

The service and communication I received from start to finish, and even after the job was done, went well above expectations, especially compared to other local companies that either took days or just never got back to me when trying to get scheduled. I thought I could easily go in and replace all the outlets in my master bed room. I got them all working yet a week later started having all sorts of electrical issues in our room. By the time I was done troubleshooting the room nothing worked. I called premier at 630pm in the afternoon and they picked up! Talked with Darren for a bit and he was honest and up front. Gave me all his information and said he could come out that week. I ended up fixing the issues myself but out of the two other local services I called that night he was the only one to answer and follow through. I did not end up hiring this company. They quoted me around $2600 for adding an outlet for my RV. The next bid I received was for $650. I can't speak to the quality of their work, but I would suggest getting another bid. They did reply via text to tell me why their bid was so much higher, but that made me feel like they were trying to sell me a LOT more than what I needed. read more

Had some issues with power and called Darren for help. He immediately diagnosed the issue over the phone as likely being outside the breaker box - requiring the power company to come out. He not Only saved us a house-call charge, he called back twice to follow up and make sure everything was working (and that his diagnosis was correct). I am so impressed with his customer service. A mysterious problem had arisen in our home's electrical system. Things that shouldn't happen were happening. We called Premier and they got right back to us. We decided to hire them. When Darren and his team arrived, an aggressive and highly orchestrated effort began to find and fix the problem. It was impressive to watch. We live in an older home and I had some serious concerns over what they were going to find. They found the problem, possibly prevented a few others, and did it in a timely, efficient manner. He was respectful of my budget and responsive to my requests. His crew worked quickly and efficiently and he worked with the State Electrical Inspector to successfully pass both inspections.
