This review is for Jessica Ceska, who's been the absolute best therapist I've had in the years I've been going to therapy on and off, and I want to sing her praises. The only reason I stopped going to her is because I now live in the city and the weekly drive to Naperville has become less convenient as my work schedule here in the city has gotten busier. If it weren't for my work schedule, I'd have probably stayed here with her as my therapist for forever. For now, I've found another person here in the city to help me out, but I'll always recommend Jessica and Natural Motivations for anyone looking for a suburban therapist! If you're reading this and have any judgments about therapy, I'd like to reply by saying I think everyone on Earth should try therapy at least once. Sitting down and talking with someone in a non-judgmental setting about difficult topics is incredibly helpful, and when you're matched with the perfect therapist for you, it's truly life-changing. That was my experience here at Natural Motivations. I will admit, my first time hitting the check-in button on Yelp happened the day of my last session, because I was nervous about people seeing that I went to therapy weekly. However, I realized that revealing this information and writing a review may actually help someone else who might be struggling with the idea of going, or may help someone who's looking for a good therapist. If you're not sure, just give it a try, and try out Natural Motivations. I certainly won't judge you, because there's nothing to judge! You're doing something good for yourself that will help you. Plus, I could've been the Duchess on Yelp of Natural Motivations, and I ruined my chance now ;) If you're in the Naperville area, in a surrounding suburb, or even if you are someone who lives in the city and gets out to the suburbs frequently, my recommendation to find a good therapist would be to call Natural Motivations -- maybe you'll even be compatible with my own former therapist, Jessica. I don't mind waiting for my PC because he has a limited time allotted for each patient and emergencies happen. Counselors have 50 minutes for each patient, backups should not happen. I do not drive and sometimes need to use ride dupage to take me to and from appointments. They will not wait if I am late.

The first problem with this group is that is difficult to get a return phone call. I think it is ridiculous that I have to call more than twice in order to get information and make an appointment. Then, you never get to actually speak to the counselor. You only speak to the front desk. When trying to find a therapist to work with, one of the most important first steps is talk with them by phone to get an initial feel if they are someone you can work with. We went for our appointment and from the minute I entered the office, I was totally uncomfortable. You walk into this really small room that is crammed with generic doctor office waiting room chairs. You walk up to a window to talk to the receptionist. This is a very unwelcoming environment for a group of therapists who are supposed to provide emotional support. It was like being in a regular doctor's office waiting for the bad news to be delivered. I just couldn't take the cold, clinical feel of this place and so we chose to leave before our appointment.

I am in a place where i am feeling great within a short period of time . She is a wonderful motivator ,a guide in experiencing your innerself analyzing and finding out different ways of coping up skills .I was recently diagnosed with PTSD and had been taking pills.My sleep was off routine.Now i can feel and see a new experience with Alysaa that motivates and encourage me to do a self research on lot coping up mechanism to be on routine and balance things to move forward as a person and family as a whole.Feel a lot of inner peace ,understanding,acceptance,let go off my past and unwanted thoughts,worries to gfade away and happiness to take over.We have satisfied and been greatful for all that they have done.Pray for all of them to be more and more successful in what they do to impact so many people's lives. I started seeing Amy at the suggestion of my psychiatrist in order to help with some sleeping…read moreissues through cognitive behavioral therapy. Honestly, I was extremely resistant - I didn't want to see a therapist, I didn't want to talk through issues, and I really didn't think CBT would help at all with my sleeping problems. I finally gave in, agreeing to "time box" the sessions to 10 weeks, just to give it a shot and see if it would help. After my first session with Amy, my wife and I both noticed improvements in my ability to fall asleep, my quality of sleep, and my overall mood and energy because of my sleep, within just a couple of days. Fast forward several months later, including multiple weeks of seeing Amy more than once a week. The 10 week "time box" is obviously well past, and I've begun to allow Amy and her expertise into more of my life and to help me deal with even more issues in my life, from being a better husband, father, employee, and just a better person in general. To be completely honest, I really wanted to not like seeing a therapist, and frankly, not like Amy. But now, I can't imagine my life without seeing Amy and having her help me through things, give me my homework, and help me to learn that I can work through mental hurdles with various strategies she's taught me. Amy has always been available - she's very prompt to return phone calls and even text messages when I have needed her, has been very flexible to work around my schedule, and genuinely cares about me and my family. If you're looking for a great therapist and someone who will care about you, get to know you, and take time for you, I highly recommend Amy. She's helped more than my sleep, she's changed my life and sticking with her past 10 weeks has been the best decision I've made in a long time.
