Parking was a complete hassle. There we're obviously people living in the complex that weren't living there on a regular basis; especially on the weekends. Trash and Recycling Area's were also overloaded with trash and people unwilling to break down their cardboard leading to rats in the neighborhood. The apartments look decent on the outside; but the insulation and support beams led to obsessive noise from neighbors and apartment staff and or management unwilling to do anything about it! The cost to live here is ridiculous for what you essentially have to put up with. Look elsewhere to call home. read more

I'm giving this place 1 star because I have to. First off, all the 5-star reviews are misleading and only for show--don't be fooled if you're thinking of living here. Shawna, the property manager is trash, will make up lies about the apartment's condition just to keep your deposit . I took videos and pictures of the apartment, which clearly show there were no stains, despite her claims. When I called her, she said, "I don't know anything about that; I have to confirm with the carpet company." Oh, and did I mention that I got the charges with different person name? It turns out Shawna just copy-pasted the move-out charges from previous tenants, Alex and Seth--yes, if you both see this, she didn't even bother to change your names. That's how careless and ignorant she is. I should've been suspicious when they said a final inspection wasn't necessary, but I thought I was dealing with professional people. Instead, I realized Shawna is just a scammer, looking to extort money from tenants. If you absolutely must live in this dumpster, make sure you insist on the final inspection, or they will try to exploit you. read more

I just moved out after two years and I was sorry to leave. I've lived in many states and rentals, and by far, this has been my best experience. And it's purely because of the personalities in the office and maintenance staff. Shawna has been super organized, on top of things, and helpful in every way, Vanessa is incredibly welcoming, remembers faces, and greets everyone with a great attitude. Terry is an absolute riot. He's helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. It's a very happy and relaxed environment, especially using the facilities. The community is INCREDIBLY clean and I've always felt safe here. Vanessa in the leasing office has been A-MAZING! Starting from the moment I came to look at apartments, to getting me through the application process, and the chaos of moving in, she was warm, kind, helpful, responsive, patient, and made me and my son feel welcome. I cannot say enough good things about her (thank you, Vanessa!). In the few months I've lived here, I've had to pop into the leasing office for multiple questions, and honestly the whole office has been like Vanessa - warm, kind, helpful, and answered any questions I've had. Let me also say a BIG shout-out to every single maintenance guy that works for the complex. LIFE SAVERS, every one of them. I'm newly single, and moving has been stressful because of that. When I couldn't get my U-Haul moved by myself, they jumped in and moved it for me. They have come immediately when I couldn't find a breaker for some of the lights, and just today- fed ex delivered verrrry heavy furniture in huge boxes, and left them downstairs from my apartment. These guys, without hesitation, came & grabbed my heavy boxes and got them up the stairs and inside my apartment for me - and did it with a smile on their faces. They're all so kind & helpful. All of my neighbors have been friendly and welcoming as well. Many came to introduce themselves while I was moving in, which has never happened in any residential neighborhood or other apartment I've lived in - ever. The apartments are updated and bright, the amenities are killer...TWO POOLS (one indoor , one outdoor...say whaaa?), gym, gaming room...and everything is very nice. Also, I feel safe here. My son is disabled, and safety was a big concern for me with where we chose to move. This complex feels very safe and I feel really good about my son's (and my) safety. I lived there before with no issues. I moved out of state and came back and was in desperate need of a place. I saw that they renovated the apartments, and I liked what they did, I applied again and told them about my daughter having a left a lease but paid it all off so she should be good. They knew that I would be disqualified but took my money anyways. Then because I volunteered surrendered my motorcycle before moving out of state, they held that against me and it was 5 years ago. The manager is a joke and is not nice. They also take your holding fee that day out your account but will not provide it back to you the same day. The gentleman in the office was nice. But he didn't provide me any real information on my credit information for the denial. They are not very helpful, and I would not recommend going in there. They need to be more forth coming on the criteria, so people don't their time. And the criteria for those apartments they must think they are in Queen Anne or Magnolia in Seattle or something and they are not even in that great of an area of Puyallup. Everyone needs to start calling HUD and Pierce County Housing Authority and have the laws start changing where it isn't hard to get into an apartment especially if you have great rental history which I do. We might not have so many homeless people and these big ass corporations wouldn't be ruining people's lives who need a roof over their head and can pay their damn rent. read more

Me and my little family moved into Meridian Pointe apartments, this month is the 2nd month living here I LOVE IT!! Shawna the leasing manager always made us feel so welcome! Everytime I go into the leasing office to go to the pool w my daughter and pass by the office she always has a warm smile on her face. I had a hard time getting my offer letter for a new job, she was so patient and understanding! When I got my offer letter through and we were approved she was genuinely so happy for us! And told us she did her best to make sure we could spend thanksgiving in our new home!! While going through our application process she treated me like a friend not a resident, I found very genuine and sincere of her. Vanessa our leasing agent had a bubbly positive attitude. She did an amazing job giving us a tour giving pointers about the lay out and features. Let me tell you she didn't miss a detail lol. There was a day we took our daughters to the pool but it was closed, a new gentleman I haven't seen before (didn't catch his name) offered our girls home made candy for the inconvenience, it was such a sweet gesture! Our girls appreciated it. The team/staff are all around such great people!! They are very responsive if you have any questions or to report something that needs to be fixed they are on it! They staff is alwaysss cleaning the apartment complex, from sunrise to sundown I see staff cleaning up the complex or gardeners maintaining the complex. I love all the nature this apartment complex offers in the complex! My fiancé and our two daughters & I are so happy to call this place home. read more

Terrible attitude towards prospective residents. We came on Saturday to see the apartments, but we were told that they don't show them on Saturdays, so we scheduled an appointment. We had an appointment scheduled for 10 a.m. We arrived on time, with a small child. The manager who was supposed to show us the apartment ignored us. We waited for 20 minutes, and another manager refused to show us the apartment, telling us to wait for the first manager, despite our significant wait time. We waited another 10 minutes, and still, nothing was shown to us, while the manager continued with their own tasks. Thank God we won't be living in such a place. If this is the attitude, indifference, and disrespect shown at the viewing stage, it can only get worse. read more

We had issues with our last apartment and needed to get out ASAP. Jess and the team here made our move process way less stressful. A " welcome home" surprise was even left for us when we walked in the door. The management has been nothing but amazing. The area is being renovated right now, but it is turning out very beautiful! There's lots of emailed updates and very great communication from the team. If you leave a message, they get back to you pretty quickly! . . . This apartment is really frustrating. They seem to care about you your first month or two living here and then they kinda just forget about you and don't care anymore. We've been dealing with a truck alarm that goes off ALLLLLL day AND night since the first week of march (we've been living here since February 22nd), i have a folder of 70+ videos of said alarm, I've sent the office countless emails (in which they've just blatantly ignored me for the last month and a half) and unfortunately cops can't do anything about it for some reason even though a lot of my videos are of the alarm between 11pm-6am and every time I call our "night time" security, they don't even show up (they're on site so it should take you 2 minutes to get here) Also, our apartments have been under remodel the entirety of us living here, fine no biggie. The problem is, on top of dealing with this truck, they start their construction between 6-7am. Noise ordinance hours end at 8am. My fit bit tells me every other night I get 2-4 hours of sleep. How can anyone live like this? Also, why do they own phones if they're simply not going to answer them? We've call them countless times with simple questions but they never answer, so then we have to go to the office in person and half the time, THE OFFICE IS CLOSED! When they are open and we can go in, they're ALL sitting by phones that they apparently don't know how to answer. And we don't bother leaving them messages anymore, they simply don't get back to us at all. I dont get why they can't answer, figure out what their people need, and let us know "I'm busy at the moment, I'll leave myself a note to call you back on this matter" OR take the 30 seconds to answer my quick question. You really have to jump through hoops with this place to get any sort of answer to anything. Absolutely worst Community I have lived in. Very disrespectful Neighbors, Uncaring parents and rude kids cursing the N word throughout the development. The leasing manager Shauna Gonzalez is a complete joke and nobody has any form of urgency or care for there tenants. Paying rent was not my problem but paying for a community that has Amazon hubs broken into, mail stolen and packages stolen from my front door step is pathetic while also dealing with multiple neighbors who will stand and gather in the middle of the road and not move is awesome. The gate does not work 90% of the time and has been crashed into 4 times, the two trash compactors are always overfilled and garage overflowing, and to top it off they advertise dauntless security and they don't even patrol the complex resulting in broken windows and broken into cars almost every day my truck and tools being stolen is one of them and the office said they can't do anything about it and to report it to PPD and nothing happens just took a loss. I was a bit surprised at the condition the apartment was allowed to be viewed in. Almost every door frame was chipped. The light above the bathroom mirrors looked like they were holding on for dear life and were crooked. The sealing fan was barely hanging on,well as the bedroom door and the front door entrance. The carpet was lifting in the rooms as you walk in and the fire place mantle is held on with a few nails. The carpet felt as if someone melted it and looked like it was stained with bleach water. The dishwasher had broken racks and the walls were not painted properly. There we're patches they had fixed from prior wholes they never finished painting over. The smoke alarm was also beeping and the fire place had no cover. It was a mettle rack and you could see it was meant to have glass but did not. I was so excited to tour this apartment then when I went in I new it was a disaster waiting to happen. I initially thought it wasn't ready to move in but the manager assured it was ready for same day move in. I'd move in if I needed a place ASAP and because they except animals and have in unit washer and dryers but I wouldn't anticipate a deposit back or maintenance to do their jobs based on the work already done and other reviews with photos as well. (Well worth it if you value detailed feedback) First off I'll start with saying my girlfriend and I LOVE it here, from the front office to the maintenance team. There have been hiccups, but honestly what place is perfect? I was relocated for work and new to the area and both me and my girlfriend have had so much going on. The front office gals/maintenance team have really stepped up with any issues that arise and are extremely polite, respectful, and overall provide a friendly and professional environment for tenants that is not in abundance/HIGHLY sought after these days. We are eternally grateful for Shawna, Kaylee, and Jaz, who have been beyond polite, professional, and helpful with some problems that have came up in the apartment. They have helped ease some of the moving stress we all know too well. I'm sure as other problems come up they will continue to be prompt and professional like always. Thanks again to all of you, and also the maintenance team. ANY BAD REVIEWS EXPLAINED: After being situated for a few weeks I learned the current management team just recently took over this property earlier in the year. From what I've grabbed from long time tenants is that the old management team was a absolute disaster. This apartment complex was ran very poorly for awhile apparently. These ladies have a lot on their plate, this a BIG complex BUT they are doing everything they can to make things right and make this place a wonderful community. Do not move here!!! Currently live here and am trying to get out of it . I have a newborn and there is MOLD IN THE WALL AND THEY STILL HAVENT FIXED IT for two weeks!! We have been stayin in a hotel because we cannot breath in our home . We've called the health department hoping to get them reported and LNI. It's sad we cannot even stay in our home . The wall needs to be taking off and get dealt with. And it's spreading to our living rooom. Worst part is it's in my daughter room that she can't even stay in. A new management team took over right before I moved out, and they were much nicer and more helpful than the old team. Move-out was super easy. The apartment was the perfect layout. Hopefully things will get better. I was on the first floor and during my one year here I had multiple things happen that I wasn't happy about. A few notable ones being a police and K9 search in my back "yard" by the retention pond at about 3 am, someone got arrested outside my window in the middle of the night, my friend's car was broken into, neighbors screaming on their patio late at night, someone dumping a bunch of dog fur on my patio, and a few more unpleasant scenarios like this. By the end, half the outlets in my apartment didn't work and the heat in all rooms wasn't working. I put in multiple work orders but they never got fixed, yet there were maintenance workers coming inside every few days for "inspections." Overall it wasn't the worst experience, but I was definitely ready to move on. read more

Lots of crime and shady activity that happens here!! Don't move here! They say they have security driving around each night and that is FALSE! If you want security to drive around you have to call the cops and report suspicious activity! The gates are broken more often than they work as well! Just an example, my vehicle was broken into and a week later someone tried to come steal it! The same day they also tried to steal my spouses vehicle! A week after that someone rummaged through my rental vehicle!! I hear about break ins here almost WEEKLY from different people living here and visiting friends and family here! Maintenance is very punctual but the property is so cheap they replace broken stuff with cheap stuff that will break within your lease here almost guaranteed! Pet friendly, but people don't pick up after their pets half the time and let their animals go wherever they want, even if that means right outside your front door on the sidewalk which you have to dodge every time you walk out your door with your children! When we moved in the apartment was absolutely atrocious! Luckily we've rented before so we wrote down and toon pictures of EVERYTHING!!! I lived at Meridian Pointe for 2 years. I absolutely loved my 2 bed 2 bath apartment. Vaulted ceilings with a balcony view of the trees. Anytime there was a maintenance issue, it was taken care of extremely quickly by the awesome Maintenace Team. The office ladies were especially wonderful and helpful during COVID and when I ended up moving, they were extremely efficient with any and all paperwork needed for a smooth transition. Always greeted me with a smile and an upbeat conversation in passing. Shawna and her team were professional and genuinely cared about people's situations. Close to town, shopping, the freeway etc. I definitely recommend living here!!! read more

The fireplaces when burning leak black smoke into the apartment above us . the toilets continual back up. We have just bought our own plunger at this point. The heated pool is ice cold. The jacuzzi is over chemicaled to the point you can barely use. The sauna flips the switch and turns off so its useless as well. The secured gate was broken for 3 months. I do not live here but my close friend does. I'm writing this review because I slept over here with her and my other friend last night, and this morning we decided to go to the indoor pool at the complex, and after we finished using the pool we had an extremely inappropriate encounter with the staff women that I felt needed to be shared. I'd like to first start off by saying that initially even walking into the pool area and passing by the women sitting at their desks, they were looking over us like we were delinquents (we are all early 20s) and making us uncomfortable right off the bat. The pool area was completely empty so we played some music and swam around for a bit. A women entered and scolded us for having music playing so we politely obliged and turned it off. When we left the pool area (fully clothed over our swimsuits) an older women sitting at a desk tells us (from across the room, in front of about 7 other workers with men included) that we were dressed inappropriately for the pool and "thongs" were not allowed. Firstly, my friend's and I all have athletic builds so of course you can see our figures in bikinis, but we most definitely were not wearing "thongs"! Secondly, we were alone in the pool area so it's not like we were disrupting anyone and even if the staff thought we were dressed inappropriately for whatever reason, they should've addressed it privately and not in an embarrassing and condescending manner in front of an entire staff. My friend pays just as much money as anyone to live in these apartments and because of this encounter, will most definitely not be renewing her lease. I'd also like to add that clearly the management/owner(s) of this complex reads and sees these reviews and in many of the reviews, the disrespectful and rude behavior of the staff has been brought up, I'd just like to say you should probably try to fix that problem as it is re occurring and that is problematic. I moved from San Francisco to Puyallup (first mistake, but that is neither here nor there) and ended up in these apartments. First day, walked out on my "porch" to be visually greeted by an exposed beer-belly sitting on a completely upholstered couch, that was on his porch. Guess he didn't get the memo that there is indeed furniture that is made for the outdoors as well as clothing for bellies of that caliber. While this was disturbing, I will admit that there were some pluses to living at Meridian Pointe. Maintenance was pretty punctual about fixing things, neighbors were decent, and location is convenient to the highways. Also, PET FRIENDLY! But, in regards to pets, on my final walk through before moving out, a maintenance guy came to inspect my place, checked my carpet for pet damage, and told me it was in good condition. Do not move here. I repeat do not move here. Worst Apartments we ever stayed in. Maintenance crew sucks. When we lived there we called to get our dryer fixed half a dozen times if not more. They came and blew out the events every time. Ok one or two times to make sure, but 3,4,5, 6 times. Come on its not the vents its they dryer. FIX IT! The manager at the time was horrible no customer service. Oh yea their great when their trying to get you in, but after that kiss the customer serivce good bye. So rude to their people. I have to start out by saying that I never really review places. But this is something the public needs to know. When I lived here last year, I was in Apartment Z, right by the train tracks. We were so close to the train that the building actually shook every time the train came by. If you don't want to live by loud trains, try to get an apartment closer to the front of the complex. There's quite a bit of crime in the area. My car was stolen twice, the first time I got it back but the second time it was gone for good. Even after adding extra security on my car after the first incident, it was stolen again. My boyfriend's car was broken into. Management didn't do anything about it. All three incidents were reported to the police. Neighbors left dog poop on the stairs of the apartment. The area wreaked of weed 24/7. I reported everything to management and let them know we needed to move out because we obviously couldn't afford to get another car stolen. It cost $2000 to break the lease but we negotiated the price down to $1000 in payments with the apartment manager. As soon as we left, we got a bill for $2000 and when I called to speak with the manager about the bill, she pretended like our previous conversation never happened. At this point, you can decide whether you would want to move in. read more

This place supposed to be a gated community but the gate stays open all the time. The stole one of our bikes last year during COVID and they just brake into our car last night and stole our speaker wroth about $300. they aren't going to do anything about it. We lived here for 2 years, and I can honestly say the only reason it's not getting more stars is because of the area. We loved the staff, our neighbors were pretty great for the most part, and we never had any major issues. Maintenance was always quick to respond, the office girls were nice to us. The manager when we were there wasn't great, but the other girls made up for it big time. We lived close to the office, up front and from what I hear the back area got a little shady. We saw police come through often and heard about a lot of break ins. Luckily that never happened to us. During move out, someone did steal our propane tank off our bbq. When we moved out, the after part was fair and easy. We got some deposit back, and they were still pleasant to work with. Wish we hadn't moved. read more

This lot is absolutely stunning and conveniently located. We enjoyed walking through the complex and watching the birds, ducks, and wild life that stay at the ponds they have placed throughout the complex. The amenities are incredible and we were so thrilled to use them daily, pre-covid. We felt as if we lived at a resort being able to enjoy nightly hot tub conversations and weekly hour long sessions at the gym. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive apartment, this one has it all. Our unit had a wood burning fireplace that was so incredible during the winters. And a covered deck overlooking a large tree that humming birds came to. The maintenance team was very attentive and didn't stop until the problem was fixed. What a luxury not having to fix the heater when it's broken. I love the new management team that took over during our 1 year stay.
