I lived there for about 2 years and my experience I've had living there was pretty much awful. Within the first 6 months of living there I've realized how rundown and un-modernized the entire apartment was from interior to exterior. To start off on the interior, it was like living in one of them shady Motels off a highway, the cleaning job that they had done previously was mediocre at best (I could've done a better job) and the walls were already chipped and cracked by the time we moved in. By the 6th month of living there my tires had been slashed by some random person, my roommates package got stolen, and they had their car broken into as well (mind you that the apartments are gated in so SOMEONE IN THOSE APARTMENTS WAS DOING ALL OF THIS) but instead of paying for higher security like installing some cameras around the managers decide to use that money towards TWO SWIMMING POOLS and some equipment in the building that rarely anyone uses besides the kids. As for the exterior I had to endure the worst of it because they wanted to get the exterior all finished up and looking brand new to scam more people. I had the workers barging into my apartment (WHILE I WAS ASLEEP) just to install new windows... Did they give us a notice? Yeah a half assed noticed that didn't say that people were going to be coming into our apartment and especially our rooms just to renovate the building wtf. Also, they need to pay more attention to what's going on outside because during a pretty bad storm my roommate was taking his dog out and one of those huge tree branches almost landed on him and I'm not talking about some stick either I'm talking about a nice 2x4 sized tree branch almost crushing him and his dog. They also have barely any parking spaces for people who don't need to or cannot pay for a parking spot which is absurd because it's almost like they're trying to get you to pay for their overly price parking spaces, even the garage is madly overpriced it's ridiculous. Nobody ever listens to the rules either and you can tell management doesn't care. People be smoking weed outside of their apartments 24/7, I've seen multiple cigarettes on the ground especially in the grassy areas, and NOBODY PICKS UP AFTER THEIR DOG!!! Unless living in this place is affordable to you, convenient for you, or you ABSOLUTELY need a place to live I would highly suggest you look else where. I'm pretty certain they've got better places than this. read more

We lived in the Meridian Pointe Apartments for a little over 2 years, and there had been a lot of change around the community. We lived here through a closed clubhouse for over half of that time, and we also endured the windows & slider, siding, and roof being replaced. It was noisy, messy, and often times unsafe because there were nails everywhere and debris being thrown down from up high. The neighbors here let their kids run wild, several had tried to kick down our front door on multiple occasions. A person in building C would constantly let their dogs run wild off leash and just scream their names, and just let her dogs defecate and not clean it up, even in front of our slider (there were 3 large "rescue" dogs despite the rules), and their dogs would charge at our dog. We had someone try to steal our (chained) bikes off the patio while we were sitting in our living room. There were constantly homeless people walking through the community and picking through the trash compactor or bags sitting outside the compactor since it was always full and impossible to run since there is no latch on the door. The gates are constantly getting hit by cars and were not functional for a majority of the time we lived here, so people can get in without a code or clicker. The management was not helpful or responsive in most of these incidents, and often would not respond to concerns we had sent via email (always to have proof of attempt for us to contact). And despite all we endured while we lived here, we were not given the option to renew due to renovations. We were told if we wanted to stay we would have to apply again to live in the complex, despite being residents for 2 years. The rent increased from the reasonable $1260 we paid to $1500-1800 a month for a one bedroom, which is high when they make you pay all utilities on top of rent. So if you want to live here, beware of the crime and rising rents. The only highlight of this community/saving grace is the woman in the office Shawna is such a sweet and kind person. read more

I'm sitting in the tire place with all four tires filled with nails and all I can think about is the irresponsible management and construction crew they hired and I see the flash back of open boxes of nails sitting on the corner of the roof of the carport, all over the pavement. Volkswagen staff have recommended getting with the local community and bringing attention to Meridian Pointe negligence. They are constantly repairing nails in tires from the shitty apartment complex. The staff are unprofessional in the office. The maintenance men are incompetent, leaving us with a moldy bathroom ceiling we've been complaining about for 2 years. I have a leaky stripped faucet sink, but they're incompetent to fix it, so they keep putting a new handle that doesn't turn on the stripped faucet, but looks new- so they mark it has job completed. I had to call the city police in an incident of meth heads going through people's open vehicles due to the fact we PAY for a GATED COMMUNITY but management has excuses as to why they cannot fulfill their job duties. The officer advised us TO MOVE, he said the NEW MANAGEMENT is failing and he gets numerous criminal activity calls there nighty since Palladian took over. Do not move here. I do not know where to even start with all the issues my husband and I had here. First, upon moving in, our apartment was not even ready for us. The flooring was incomplete and the tub was not ready for use. We quickly had to change our schedule to fit the schedules of the maintenance crew to be able to complete these tasks. While they were doing so, they trashed our apartment. There was flooring glue all over our carpets and towels left in and under our sink. Along with this, we had to find a pet sitter for our pets for multiple days because the fumes were not safe for them. Next, when we introduced the issue of the glue everywhere and the mess the crew left, not only did the office act like it was anything they needed to address, but acted like we were crazy for even being concerned about it. They eventually sent up a carpet cleaning crew to clean the glue, but it did not work. They ignored the issue after this. Next, any maintenance issue we had took a minimum of 3 weeks to get addressed and fixed. These included leaks from the sinks, our washer not completing the cycle, our dryer over heating, and dips in our kitchen floor. Then, along with all this, the ladies that work in the office are some of the rudest people you will ever encounter. They look at you and speak to you in the most condescending way. Any time I were to walk into the office, even just to pick up a package, they would not greet me or ask me what they could do to help me, they just stared or continued their own conversation until I spoke up. Then, when they would finally help me, they would act as if I was a burden or that it was ruining their day to help me. I work in a customer service position, I know their are tough days, but you still treat your customers with respect and act happy to help them - it's your job. Now, after we have moved out, we are still having to deal with this place. Let me preface with the fact that my husband and I are good tenants. We never paid rent late, NEVER. We are quiet, we follow the rules, we cleaned the apartment before moving out. They are now trying to charge us. Though we were told before moving in that our deposits covered any damages (specifically our pet deposit), they still was us to pay. This place has charged any little fee they possibly can. Security deposit, pet deposit, move in fees, pet fees, pet rent, etc. And they still want money from us! I called the office to speak with them to understand why this is happening and all I was told is that I was wrong and basically was told that I'm stupid for even questioning this fee. If you are thinking about Meridian Point, go somewhere else. I was transferred out of State with my Job unexpectedly. My wife and I had to break our Lease. Money is really tight because this was not a planned event. I would of expected a little compassion, but that is not the case. Meridian Point and I just agreed that I would pay my full months Rent and Pro Rate the amount of $2,660.00 to break my Lease. Instead, they took advantage of my wife and charged the last months Rent plus the $2,660.00. I confronted the management today and they called the Police on me. my car was stolen here. its not very secured and the gate is always broken... I cant get in half the time because of it. Very rude staff at the offices. if u live in the back half of the place there is a train track that has trains on it through out the day and night. The train shakes the building and is super loud. it sounds like your outside standing next to the track. ... the walls are very thin so prepare to hear all of your neighbors. .. By the way half of them sound ghetto and since living here there have been several counts of neighbors moving in and out... seems like once a month. read more

I moved here about 8 mo ago and never had a good feeling. My first day I was handed the keys to a filthy apartment which still smells no matter what I do. Each morning I wake up to beer cans on my stairs and garbage. I was told this was secure complex with cameras. Funny enough my car was hit the first response was we dont have time to look at the tapes the 2nd response was the cameras dont have night visability (ironic). We did not appreciate these apartments. The unit was truly disappointing, dank and dark. The website makes the M.P. Complex beautiful, and in person the common areas such as main office and gym are big and nice, even inviting. The trouble is the apartment where you spend your quality home time was terrible. Terrible. Front door had myriads of dents and near the door handle was a serious burn that management did not deem paint worthy. Come on. Great way to be greeted. Inside: the kitchen refrigerator had a long dented scratch mark. The pantry doors didn't open/close easily. The counter top stained and had holes. The bathroom ventilation fan/light was seriously rusted over. We had DISH come out on our move in morning and they said they could not get enough southerly reception. Nothing about this unit (and mean nothing!) spoke to us like we'd be cared for or happy here; in fact, it was more like you are making a HUGE mistake staying here, get out while you can. If I could leave this place one star I would. This place is a joke. I had one car stolen, another broken into. Reported it to management and they couldn't care less. Had to BEG them several times to fix my hot water, aka having to take cold showers for about 8 months. The train behind the complex shakes the whole apartment. I've seen one of the office ladies smoking weed with an upstairs neighbor. Rent was on time every single month. They charged for a full carpet replace which apparently costs $1300 for a 600 square foot apartment. You must be hiring someone who is installing gold flakes carpet. And when I called to PAY them money but asked about a payment plan the office lady said "we don't do that, it will just go to collections". When I explained to her she would get her money faster from me in two or three payments then waiting for it from collections she repeated again, "that's just how we do it". If you want a place to live that has dog shit everywhere, the "security" they promise (the gate), NEVER works, kids running all over the parking lot unattended, your car getting stolen (also had a neighbor who's back window was SHOT out, office ladies who are extremely unprofessional and need a few classes in business and customer service, and an extreme RIP OFF then this is the place for you! When they sent my renewal letter they wanted to charge $1100 for this shit hole. Way to go meridian pointe you are by far the WORST complex there is. I think I would have had a better experience in hilltop. read more

We have lived here for over 5 years and my advice to anyone looking for a apartment is to skip this place entirely. We were sold by the amenities, two pools ( always filled with shitty kids not obeying the rules) a Spa tub ( that the same children regularly fill with hand soap from the wash rooms in the work out room) but its just not worth renting here. The apartments themselves have very little storage, the electrical in our apartment has serious voltage problems, we have had them replace 3 outlets in that time for sparking and welding a piece of the plug in the socket. There are not enough dumpsters on property for all the trash created here so there are piles of garbage out by the dumpsters every week. The Staff is useless once you sign the lease for get ever getting anything from the office ladies, they have bold faced lied to us to get us to resign our lease, promising us that we could switch to a three bedroom and they would let us know when they had some available. I called a several times over the next few months they would never even talk to me about it. Our current upstairs neighbor is the worst person I have lived under in my entire life. She lets her 12 year old daughter practice gymnastics for hours and hours and hours right above my head. I have complained to the staff countless times that our apartment is constantly shaken by this woman and her child. We have had lights fall of the ceiling and smash on the floor because of them. When we bring it up to the staff they just say" well you know what she is like" because if you try to talk to her about it she freaks out and screams in your face. I don't understand why my living conditions have to be destroyed by this family, its made having friends over impossible, enjoying a quiet meal impossible. The worst part is they know how bad she is , and they wont do a dam thing about it. I lived here for 2 years before this creature moved in and we never heard a peep from our upstairs neighbors. Currently as I am writing this her child is throwing her full body weight on to the floor over and over again it's been going on for 2 hours STRAIGHT. It happens every day from 4:00 pm to 10:00pm and on weekends we have heard it happening as lat as 2:30 in the morning. This place is turning into a ghetto garbage pile, don't rent here. Update as of 1-5-2017 This place has gone down hill even more with the last wave or new tenements, Garbage regularly piled up on porches in front of the building I live in so now I feel like I live in the dump, now people are tossing stuff on to my balcony, the kids throw rocks at the fence our side our building during the day. People seem to have stopped picking up after their dogs so when its nice and sunny the only thing I smell wafting in the windows is hot dog shit. Coming home from work a few nights ago at 8:00pm there were two drunk young black dudes having a limp wristed fist fight in the middle of my parking lot for my building so have fun walking by that after a hard days work. The gates are regularly broken for months at a time, none of the issues I have brought to the office ever get solved, this place just keeps getting worse and worse. starting to think renting a house in a Meth neighborhood would be a better option. Update 2-23-2017 ANNNND they are raising my rent by 200 bucks ... what makes them think this place and the service they provide is worth that much of a increase every year. I moved in my rent on a 2 bed 2 bath was 875 a month, since then it has been raised in 3 years to over 1200 dollars for a apartment and complex that is only barely worth my original rent price. They have done NOTHING to improve the living conditions in the years that I have lived here, yet they seem to think they deserve more money every year for a apartment that's falling apart. I have had to fix every closet door in this house over and over and over again , they replaced my faucet with one that has about half the water pressure so now dishes take even longer. sure I could use the built in dishwasher but it sounds like a garbage truck. 1-19-18 I had 26 open work orders in during the past 5 years, this year in october they deleted all the old work orders from the system. Sooo what happened to my broken bedroom light? Still broken oh yes? My toilet seat that has been missing a lid for over a year? The maintenance guy said he would get back to me on how much it is to replace...a year ago. How about my vent fan in the hallway bathroom, you know the one your maintenance man didn't want to replace when it was completely locked up. The one he sprayed graphite in and it worked for a hour after he left? Or our leaking toilets? The leaking Dishwasher? None of these were addressed and when I asked the maintenance guys about the yellow ring leaking out from under my toilet they told me that's normal. Not happy ever since the new management (Palladium) took over in February 2020. Trash is overflowing all the time and stinks. I feel like I am living in the projects and everything looks run down. Gates are never fixed and night time access is easy to get into this place. Tenants are finding crack pipes on the ground. Lights are always out around buildings, making it unsafe to go to your vehicle and walk your animals at night. Sprinklers are busted and spraying all over the place. People are hanging signs on their balconies right in front of the office and nothing is being done about it. Also, residents can't be kicked out or given notice during COVID, which is understandable if they don't have money to pay bills. However, when they are breaking rules like smoking cigarettes or weed in their apartments when the lease says they can't, then that is upsetting. Even the maintenance man in building "E" on the second floor smokes cigarettes in his apartment when he knows not to. It is filling up and bothering 2-3 different apartment tenants, but no one will stop him. There are others who smoke weed in their apartments and the tenants above them don't want it in their apartments. Again, nothing is being done. There is only about a 30 minute window during the week that the garbage and recycling doesn't look like a transfer station, overflowing and disgusting fluids everywhere. I had a maintenance guy cuss me out after I threw my garbage away because he thought I left it and was too lazy to throw it in like others had before me. The office staff are bar none some of the most condescending, rude, and dismissive people I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. They always know better than you, they will ask you to do their job for them (I have had to go and dig for my package numerous times), and they will treat you like absolute dirt, and heaven forbid they have to greet you when you go in to their office. My wife and I moved in 2 years ago and from the start it has been nothing but trouble. Upon our move in date, The windows were covered in bird feces (They asked me to lean out the windows 30' in the air and clean it myself), there were numerous items left in our apartment, they hadn't finished our shower (That took a week before we could use it), the screen on the window fell to the first floor, and they had to redo our flooring in the kitchen as there were bubbles all over it. Not long after that our dryer was burning our clothes from overheating (on low heat) and our washer was leaking water everywhere (After 3 visits they blamed it on our cats, after 5 they replaced it which also took a week). Our kitchen sink has leaked twice, the bathroom sink leaked, our bath tub nozzle was peeling away from the wall and our patio screen door wouldn't fit, and finally the bubbles in the kitchen turned to sinkholes. They always took at least 2-3 weeks to fix something. If we called to request maintenance, as their website wasn't working, they acted like we were the biggest burden. We brought all of this to their attention about 4 months before our lease was up, they assured us that they would fix everything, we wouldn't get hit for damages and we could get out of our lease no cost to us. They fixed everything and we decided to stay one more year to avoid new deposits, etc. Now we are trying to finalize our move-out process and they are trying to make us pay for a whole new carpet after we had already discussed that the kitchen tile people were the cause of the glue, and that our deposits (2 cat fees and 2 move in fees) would cover any move out cost, but now they are saying it doesn't cover all of the expenses. We have never had a late payment, we cleaned after moving out, and we have never had any complaints, so if you want to be a model resident but get treated like garbage, this is the place. Save yourself the money and trouble and DO NOT MOVE HERE!! read more

Some facts to consider before moving in. These apartments are decent, but depending on where you live, it can be a real pain to get to your place. There are kids on bikes and scooters everywhere unattended, it makes it very hard to get around carefully and safely. The staff was always rude to me in almost all interactions, despite the fact that I caused them no problems, paid rent on time, no noise complaints. There are only two dumpsters in the complex, which means you will most likely be walking quite a ways to take your garbage out, and no, you can't leave it outside your door without them threatening to throw it away for you and charge you $50 per bag. The apartments misled me when I moved in, told me I wouldn't have to pay anything except cleaning fees on mice out, that the carpet would need to be replaced anyway, and I would not be responsible. I just moved out in August and paid for complete new carpeting, even after calling, reminding them of the promise I was made, she would not budge, and was rude once again. Biggest complaint is the staffs rudeness.. out of probably 25 phone calls over 4 years for various things, they were rude 99 percent of them. I had to call every month to let them know I paid my utility bill on their website, because they would not Check or take the money out, and would give me unpaid utility warnings constantly, after it's paid on the website in full and on time. I paid my rent on time and got a couple of pay or vacate notices by mistake, which made me really annoyed. This could be a better place with a better management team. The apartment itself was nice, pretty much what you would expect. To the owner: audit your team while they interact on the phone, and listen to how rude they can be for no reason. Other than these things, it's an okay place to live, Rivertrail and Addison greens are much better and around the same price. One good thing is when I moved out, they gave me my well deserved awesome tenant review for the place I was moving into. read more

I moved into these apartments because I have known the area and am a single female thinking the gates would be a good sense of secure community, but they are not closed at the same time, broke and not fixed for months. Had a maintenance issue regarding the same thing six/seven times before it was actually fixed! The management staff is extremely rude when you call about a concern!! I work in a medical office as management and this is the last way to handle costumer service. The front gals I have dealt with are nice but not manger she was RUDE!! It's too bad because I have had a few friends ask me if they should move in and I have suggested a different apartment complex that I have heard good things about. Worst apartment ever. Moved in they charged me more for the "location" of my unit. I was right by a train track they never showed me that unit train horns all night and no parking. Read the lease before you sign they say they have tanning and 24 hour gym they don't they charge you $25 a month for tanning in a raggedy bed. And $50 for your pass for the gym. The hot tub is moldy and never Been cleaned. My apartment was flooded and the apartment manager not once checked ion me even though she was there checking on the unit that flooded mine. The fire department was warning me that my unit was not safe to be in and they complex made me stay. Or get a hotel. I left multiple voicemails with the office and never received a call back. I also had 25 maintenance requests due to apartment falling apart on me within the first 2 months of moving in. Do not move here. read more

You have been there for me during my financial hardships, as well as the kindness shown me when I lost my dear service dog, Charlie. I cant say enough how grateful I am. You have truly become my advocates and are there if I need anything. I have lived here since October of 2013, and I have found the staff and the maintenance people completely courteous at all times. They have never hesitated to be helpful and or listen when I had a problem. I have always been able to express my concerns and all matters have been attended to. There are many pluses to living at Meridian Pointe Apts and I would not hesitate to refer any of my friends or family to this establishment. This place has been the worst mistake I have made in years. My neighbors are rude, loud and every day and night they destroy any hopes of a good night sleep. This place has put such a strain on my family that our life with a new job and area feels like a jail sentence. I have tried for a month now to bring it to the staff's attention and I get treated like a stranger locked into a contract. At least in jail there are quiet hours. DO NOT RENT THESE APARTMENTS!!! The staff Meridian Pointe were so kind to be until I signed the lease. They "kindly" waved the security deposits but then hit me with an $800 pet deposit $400 "refundable.'' Our neighbors were constantly BLARING loud music to the point where my pictures were shaking on my walls and when we filed noise complaints, nothing was done. The staff also spies on you constantly. I can't tell you how many times our blinds weren't correctly placed, or our patio was too dirty because of the leaves that THEIR maintenance workers blew onto our patio. The worst thing that they did to us was claim that we left the place in shambles, and OWED THEM MONEY despite having $400 refundable, and lied to our new landlords and told them that were late on rent twice. We paid rent ON TIME every month and left the place spick and span. If you move into these apartments expect to be spied on constantly and to have notices on your door weekly threatening to evict you, DO NOT expect to get your supposed "refundable" security deposit back, and don't expect them to help you in any way shape or form. Horrible staff!!! They put up a fake front to get you to move in and sign a lease (11 & 12 months only) People party off there balcony throwing cigarettes down, spitting, using very foul chosen words and the office does nothing about this, nor do they keep the back side of the grounds clean, garbage bags left out, dirty diapers laying around, the emeneties that sound so great? unless you don't work and can use the cabana during the day, you'll have to deal with the very rude night staff, that lets her friends take over the cabana and tanning bed. you are suppose to schedule a time of use, but if they want to use it at the same time they will take or give your spot away. They say if your 5 minutes late someone else can go, but i have been on time and early and more times than not my time was bumped, same with the theater room. Every resident i have talked to says the same thing. They run great move in specials, but after that you end up paying more during your lease term. The water & garbage is priced according to your unit and family size. I pay more here a month on utilities then i did in a house for 2 months. If you work you won't get a parking spot when you come home, $35.00 extra for car port. $100 for garage +$50 deposit. They don't check the "convienent' on-line pay, so plan on having a vacate letter stuck to your door every month! O and if you do have a dog, plan on getting a letter stuck to your door telling you that you are in default for not picking up the feces. even if you do, you are guilty just because you own a dog. Or maybe this is Retaliation for complaining about the broken down cars, and cigarettes and garbage all over that is always over looked on the morning walk throughs? Wouldn't suprise me, thats how professional this place is. Run away don't even come here! you'll be tempted at first but you will regret it just like the 80% of people living here have. read more
