Even though the project was easy, he asked me the nature of what I was doing so that he could wrap his head around the context of the part he was working on. Cool, he was nicely engaged. He came out the next day and measured and told me he needed 50% down to start the job. I sent him a check that was cashed. I expected to hear from him in 12-16 weeks as he said sometimes he's early. 12 weeks was around December 2022. No email no phone call so I reached out and called and left messages. I emailed many times and I hired a lawyer to send him a demand letter to return my money. It i s now March 2023 and I have been charged around $4000. for no work or phone call or email.
