Joe and his team did a great job suggesting design tweaks to our original ideas. The end result was a kitchen that I still think of as "new," and love cooking in every day. This spring we hired G. Sieri again to do a remodel of our bathroom: ripped out the tub to add a walk-in shower, redo cracked drywall from when we lifted our house eight years ago, and add some lights. Again, we were working with a small footprint and Joe was able to help us plan our design. At every stage of both of our remodel jobs Joe and his crew were available, responsive, and dependable. Clearly a case of, "IF I KNEW then WHAT I KNOW now...??!!" But... to continue, I highly recommend you inform yourself ahead of time as to expectations for Budgeting, Contractor, Designer, etc!! After we visited 3-4 kitchen designers ( including Asbury), I was amazed that all of them viewed the "space" in the exact same manner. Each one offered to create a peninsula style kitchen, placed the appliances in the exact same spot, etc. After WE decided we really wanted a Center Island, we asked each designer to RE-think the kitchen from this perspective. We selected Asbury because Dottie was most enthusiastic to embrace this new request and she also found ways to make it work, within our "square footage". She was very visual and we worked well bouncing ideas off of each other. She is creative and has a very expert team working with her. I would highly recommend USING her team to install your cabinetry since it's seamless and gives her full ability to assure a great install. In the end we used our own private contractors and there were communication issues, not due to any mis step on Asbury Kitchen's side. I'm extremely pleased with my kitchen!! Our cabinets are great quality ( mouser) and the colors ( I chose blue for center island and white for perimeter) !! Dottie and her team also contracted the countertops and they were professional in their installation. It all came together beautifully!! We recently purchased a home where Coastal Construction built the kitchen. That project was approximately 8 years ago. We wanted to replace one of the cabinets and had to go through Coastal Construction because the cabinet vendor requires that we work with one of their sellers. From the very beginning it was apparent that this was a huge inconvenience for Mr. Geisler. My assumption was that it wasn't a big enough project for him or, that it was interrupting his time in Florida. In truth, I never understood why he didn't just redirect us to someone else if this was going to be such a nuisance. It took months to move this along. Mr. Geisler does not appear to track follow up actions he commits to nor does he seem to know how to use the telephone. He communicates by short, curt texts that do not answer entire questions. It was like pulling teeth to get him to do anything. I had to follow-up constantly. In fact, I finally contacted the cabinet manufacturer who reached out to Mr. Geisler to get him to respond. At one point I asked if there might be anyone else in his showroom / office and he mentioned his girlfriend worked there but she was in Florida with him. When the cabinet finally arrived he did not check it to make sure it was correct or unblemished. It was done incorrectly. By this time Mr. Geisler was again in Florida. He left it for us in his driveway. After we unpacked it (ourselves) and loaded it into our car (ourselves...btw my 72 year old husband has had open heart surgery), we realized there was no cabinetry hardware. Mr. Geilser never reminded us or suggested to us to purchase the hardware that allows you to open the cabinet. We will never work with this company again. We will never recommend them. And I am posting this as caution to anyone else who is seeking a construction professional in the South Jersey area.
