I knew I had to carpe the diem with this opportunity, lest I be resigned to grabbing bargains for ghost town hay rides, pool filter cleanings or whatever else "sweet deal" came my way. (I really hate Groupon lately, in case you couldn't tell.) I arrived a little before my appointment time today and filled out the necessary paperwork and personal health history. I was quickly introduced to Angie, the reigning body wrap queen. She was super friendly, explained every step of my mummification (it's SUCH a weird process) and really didn't try to upsell anything to me. In fact, she made it a point to say she likes her clients to go home and notice the effects and changes the wraps have on their bodies before committing to a package. I'm already loving the inches I lost (and apparently it gets only better over the first night) and am totally recommitted to living the healthy life once and for all. Unfortunately, the haircut I received was not at all what I requested, despite showing reference photos. The cut was extremely choppy, with uneven layers throughout. It was the first haircut I've ever been truly unhappy with, and I am unable to even wear my hair down due to the unevenness and disconnect throughout the cut. I do want to recognize the salon owner for how they handled the situation. They were understanding, offered to have another stylist correct my haircut, and also refunded the cost of the service. I truly appreciate their professionalism and commitment to making things right. While I'm disappointed with the haircut I received from Ericka, I appreciate the owner's excellent customer service and willingness to stand behind their business. Although my first experience wasn't the one I had hoped for, I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future clients.
