3.5 really. The aesthetic and general feel of the place is nice, along with tasty cocktails it will most likely do fine, regardless of some shortcomings. I may even raise my rating on a subsequent visits, but my first experience was not the best overall. To start with they seem to be intentionally creating an artificial queue, although this could be an attempt to provide a better experience for all the guests. The problem with the method in place is that they are not taking names or giving out any information to the people waiting in line. Normally this would not be a big deal, but on this particular visit it was pouring down rain, and having a line go out the door simply was not a feasible option. They have a waiting room area, but since they are not taking names or giving out numbers or similar, you are forced to wait in the line with everyone else. I know having any kind of queuing system would detract from the aesthetic, but I am sure they could come up with something that would work. Even having a self-sign in station or sheet would make people more comfortable, so they could stand or sit anywhere without worry. The experience of getting in obviously bothered me the most, and would do the same to others, but once you do get inside, the place is pretty awesome. This is clearly a Tiki bar and the drinks/glasses are on point. Since making a good quality Tiki cocktail takes more time, the bar is very busy, but this is understandable. They have a really nice patio area, but sadly the rain made it difficult to enjoy. Definitely come on a nice day, and I feel like you will have a good experience, but as with anything YMMV. As I mentioned before I will be back, and on a nice day, so hopefully the experience will be better and I can raise my rating. read more
