I've been going to Dr Jason Merritt for a few weeks now. I was referred by my massage therapist. I grew up going to a chiropractor whom I have found no equal, Dr. David Rawlings in Colorado. I literally went to him for the first 35 years of my life. He's more "network Chiropractic" and I looked for that for a long time in Florida. My body eventually had some issues after 6 years in Florida that I needed ironed out. I sought out Merritt Chiropractic and was skeptical to say the least,
"Network Chiropractic" which I didn't know was a different type takes time and patience to help your body recognize and heal itself through guided and gentle movements to realign your spine. Emergency chiropractic from my perspective (35 years of experience) results in spinal manipulation of the more intensive variety. This is the kind Dr Merritt uses.
I was very skeptical. He took exrays and met with me. He's very friendly and knows what he is doing. I had lower back issues which I am seeking relief from and he identified those quickly. I was soon in treatment and on my way.
Treatment is different then I was accustomed to. Here, you essentially empty your pockets of anything that may poke you, lay on the hydraulic table and get your adjustment in a few short strokes. They do yield results for sure. After my first exam I was very sore.....but not being adjusted for 5-6 years prior I expected no less.
I'm going several times a week and comfortable doing so. I'm fascinated my body adjusts itself a few times a day and I'm not sure that is this style or a blend of what I grew up with and am experiencing now. I am hopeful the same adjustments are improving my health. I do feel better. read more
